What a lazy day! We did nothing, took a nap even. LOL.

But I did make something yummy thats a breakfasty type thing for dinner...Sausage Cheese Squares.

Really easy!!!!

it's crescent rolls on the bottom of a square pan for the crust. Cut up breakfast sausages, shredded cheese, diced peppers, a can of cream of cheddar soup $ 4 eggs. I also added mushrooms, onions and some fresh basil.

Just lay it all int he pan cover with the eggs mixed with the soup. top with more cheese. bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees and eat!

it was really yummy!

Anyways I'm off to play some Lego batman with KC before bed. Night all!

i have to go shower. ( why do i always thing of ce when i post that? :lmao:)

:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Evening All !!! Another busy day !! Stopped home at noon to check on Judy !!She is okay !! Still in a lot of pain!! But moving a little better !! The liquid diet is getting old !!:lmao:I am straining cream soup and she is looking longingly at mashed potatoes !!;)

I would be, too - I love mashed potatoes. Glad she's moving better. :goodvibes

i finished with school!

WOOHOOTY!

Hey, if I did my housework the way you do, I wouldn’t have to get on the treadmill. My computer is down in the basement.:scratchin

::yes:: See, it's a good method! ;)

Have fun at work, if you can. Happy Friday!

That does sound good!

Is is good? We are all obsessed with the Star Wars and the Indy. I like Indy better, as it's more puzzles and less just all out fighting, but the kids like Star Wars better because it's easier for them to do the fighting than figure out what they need to do to move on in Indy.

Anyway, I've been considering Batman, but wondered if it was as much fun. ;)

*****************************************************
Yep, another grey and rainy and cool morning. It's killing me - I do NOT want to get out of bed on these kinds of days.

I got the grill going last night, no problem, when D was on the way home. I put some sliced potatoes in foil and started them up. After about 20 minutes, I went to put the burgers on, too, and noticed the grill temp was way down. We were out of propane. :sad2: I thought, "Well, it's a pain, but there's another tank downstairs in the garage." Yeah, it was empty, too. :headache:

My microwave has a "grill" function, which is OK but not great, but that's what I had to do. The potatoes finished up in the oven on broil. Not ideal, but...
I'm only slightly bitter that my DH had an empty propane tank sitting around all winter, apparently. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

He's off to an all-day meeting today at the airport for his safety officer stuff. I will go to school to volunteer, then I need a small grocery run. And that's about my day...

Oh, if anyone likes Brit chick lit, I had a preview copy that I read obsessively all evening yesterday, Harriet Evans, The Love of Her Life. It was actually apparently released last week. Loved it. :thumbsup2 Not as comedic as a Sophie Kinsella or Helen Fielding, but really good, and in that general vein... Plus, you know, we can think of Jo's voice as we read. ;)

OK, off to do the crossword before I go shower and do my stuff. I'll be back later! :goodvibes Happy Friday, everyone!

V has no A/C and ants in her office. I hope you did OK.
Thanks - I'm still alive and unbitten! They FINALLY came and put baits in so I'm back in business.
My AC isn't totally out... yet. But it's insanely hot this week and no clouds at all, and my AC just can't keep up; it ran for 5 hours straight the past two evenings, just trying to get down to the 78 at which I'd set it. It hadn't dropped below 82 by 11pm, so it needs fixing. CA-CHING!!! :headache:

Hi CE!

Wow, it's scary-quiet here! Where is everyone? :confused3

I put in another workout with my sadistic Wii Active trainer last night. I've been popping ibuprofen every 4 hours since. But man, do I feel toned! :rotfl2:

Nothing too exciting planned for the weekend. A friend's coming to look at my AC tomorrow morning, and I'll take Leo to see Up at some point. I'm sure we'll get in some pool time and hopefully a little beach, too.

Happy Friday all!

Even though the Braves lost, we had fun and great seats. Today I'm planning on sitting by the pool between the expected thundershowers.
I hate this laptop! It takes me much longer to type on it. :headache: Have a happy Friday. :goodvibes BTW, I'm going to owe T a Lapu Lapu if anyone wants to join us. ;)

Just a test... can you see this pic???

yes, what is it??

I grill all year round CE........have a Jenn air indoor grill on my cooktop for when it's really bad. But I like to grill outside best. Got a new WW cooktop called Sizzle It that I'm gonna try some new things with!
I'm up to 7.2# loss now which feels good---at least I can button some of my summer clothes.......hoping to have more off by vacation, but oh well......I'll just not post any pics of me in my bathing suit! ;)

My friend is at Rock n Roller coaster now---she is sending me pics along the way! I got some of calimari last nite at Rainforest Cafe!

Have you been reading along long enough to know my style of cleaning? Put the laundry in, check the computer. Do the dishes, check the computer. Vacuum, check the computer... and so on! ;) It takes me longer to clean, but I'm MUCH happier about it. :rotfl:

That sounds like a good idea-I just have trouble getting up after I sit down :rotfl: I did do really well yesterday, I cleaned the laundry room, the linen closet, my shoe closet, the garage, front closet, and did all the laundry and put one new curtain up, then took the girls to the pool and just sat there going, phew!

It really is a great top 20 this season. It's even more fun now that the girls got to meet and dance with so many people from the show.

Which reminds me that I never posted that picture again... (see below)

Your trip sounds really nice. I'd love to surprise the kids, but I have a big mouth. :lmao:

ETA: I forgot to say my home resort is BLT!

Oooh, BLT, cool We're VWL, I can wave at you from across the lake  I'm still checking every day on that one night at HH, DH really needs a vaca. Normally we don't surprise the kids because they like to plan, but every now and then it's fun.

LMAO - do I detect another former dancer?! I spent a good many years in the ballet and agree 100%. ;)

Yeah, I loved (and love) to dance, but strictly recreational, I don't think I was ever good enough to pursue it competitively-parents didn't have the resources-my grandmother used to pay for a class for me to take, I loved it :)

ill be the enabler-
theres a new iphone coming out on the 19th! This is the same price, but has video recording and a compass, plus some other new things. The original 3G is now only $99:thumbsup2

tech ho! :rotfl2:

That sounds GOOD!

I have to go into work today :( We've actually hired my replacement, I'll be training her all next week when the girls are in dance camp. The job was originally maybe a 15 hr/week job when I started several years ago, but has morphed into nearly a full time job and I'm killing myself to keep up and it's interfering with my ability to be a good parent and wife, so I told the boss in early april that he needed somebody full time or we were going to start having serious problems with keeping everything going (think of me as the hub that keeps all the spokes talking to each other and flowing smoothly).

I will still keep my copyediting, proofreading and calendar editor duties, which I can do from home and not mess with being a parent/wife, but the clerical, coordinator and sales support duties will go to Jan, the new lady. I hope she's not scared off by all the stuff there is to do-I figure I"ll spend about two weeks teaching her the ropes and letting her get a feel for it and then step back. It will be a huge relief, I'm really looking forward to re-orienting myself to my family and doing lots of fun family stuff this summer like cooking. I also want to work on some big lego boxes we bought last year at DTD that we haven't had time to work on together as a family. I might try and teach the girls how to sew, too, but it scares me! I'm sure they'll be fine...

Ok, off to work!

Yes. I was telling her not to EVEN take a picture of me drinking wine... Brat. :lmao:
Kids :rotfl2:

oh, car is finally fixed and it only cost $700. we needed some other stuff done and were planning on doing it at the honda dealership. this guy did everything for less than what we were planning on paying, so we didn't actually spend anymore money. hubby is lucky!
Glad it worked out fine and didn't cost tons!

The liquid diet is getting old !!:lmao:I am straining cream soup and she is looking longingly at mashed potatoes !!;)
When can she go onto solids?

finished with school!
:yay:

I have to work 6hrs of OT tomorrow night. I don't know if I'll have time to get on here or not!
Wow that's alot!

Plus, you know, we can think of Jo's voice as we read. ;)
:rotfl2::hug:

So it's better than the wii fit?

Played golf today, there are a group of us that play every Friday well I go today and no-one turned up :sad1: I ended up joining 1 of my friends and her DH and friend so all was OK in the end! Our first hole is a longish par 5 (means that you should take 5 shots if you're a very good player) well I managed to get a 3 which is called an eagle, I chipped in, it's my first eagle since being back at golf :yay:

Those of you on Facebook: are you going to select a user name? If so, are you going to use your DIS name?

I pick DisneyJo!!! (can I be a Disney mom now??? Please???? :lmao:)

Yes, ma'am!

then took the girls to the pool and just sat there going, phew!

I would think! :faint:

The job was originally maybe a 15 hr/week job when I started several years ago, but has morphed into nearly a full time job and I'm killing myself to keep up

Oh, I understand that. The last job I had before the kids was meant to be a not-quite-full time accounting type position in an orthodontist's office, that turned into a just over-full-time accounting/front desk/treatment review stressful deal. I hated it (not least because the ortho himself was a micromanager) and I was SO ticked that it wasn't what it was represented as when I was hired. They called last year to see if I wanted to come back. Um, no!

If it had been what it was supposed to be, I would have considered it, but I'd been burned before. ;)

Anyway, I'm glad you have something worked out - I know how frustrating it can be.

TE - thought I quoted you, but apparently not. Congrats on the weight loss! :cool1:

We didn't grill this winter because of the droopy porch (after the ice storm) but we have in the past - when the snow isn't knee deep, that is! :rotfl:

***************************************************
I had a lot of fun at school today and then hit up the grocery store.

As I was driving home, I suddenly remembered the dream I was having last night. :rotfl:

D had accepted a position as an "aviation researcher" in Antarctica (your guess is as good as mine), for a whole year. He was going to live in an igloo, but I got to go with him to help him settle in, and inside the igloo was a big dorm type place, but his "apartment" within in slept something like 20 people, so that "you can have people come visit."

Sure. Betcha didn't know they made 2 story igloos! :lmao:

I was kind of sad he'd be gone for a year, but he was getting paid really well, and apparently also on a paid leave from his current job, so we were really going to be financially sound. I was really worried, in the dream, whether he'd remember to get the paperwork done, if he knew bank account numbers, where he'd grocery shop :lmao: because, you know, Antarctica's full of stores, :rotfl:and so on.

Do you think I'm ready for him to be gone for a few days? :rolleyes1:rotfl2:

Ah, well. ;)

It hadn't dropped below 82 by 11pm, so it needs fixing. CA-CHING!!! :headache:

Ouch, I'm sorry.

Hi, V! I missed this post earlier. Sorry!

Our first hole is a longish par 5 (means that you should take 5 shots if you're a very good player) well I managed to get a 3 which is called an eagle, I chipped in, it's my first eagle since being back at golf :yay:

I'm so proud of you!!! :thumbsup2

Those of you on Facebook: are you going to select a user name? If so, are you going to use your DIS name?

I don't think I will - my stuff there is private enough, and I don't want to get all confuzzled. ;)

Im off to work, and then get to rush home and throw everything in the car. Ill be gone for a little over a week. I Might not be on much, but ill still read on my phone.

Hey I'm part American now you know :snooty:;):rotfl2:

Go ahead :rotfl2:

Good question.....

Afternoon all.

Today is operation Clean The Casa. We are having a mini True Blood party (3 or 4 people coming by) on Sunday so I wanna make this joint ship shape. I am cooking as well (my spinach/artichoke/mushroom pasta bake). It should be fun.

So today is clean all day and relax after. KC is now addicted to Sims 3 since you can make them insane and evil. He played for hours last night. So my goal is to keep him off it today. lol.

Off for some coffee before I wake KC and start the cleaning.

Have a great Friday!
