So Leo spending less time around them is all good. The bad side, of course, is that nut-wing or not, Leo will miss seeing his Daddy regularly. And Daddy seems to have no plans or ideas for how to see his son.

I'm still processing, but I'm pretty sure I'll be ready to CELEBRATE this new situation in a couple days, right T and LL?!

Leo's... confused. He's not saying much - I think he's just processing at this point. LOL, I can NOT picture my ex in Idaho! But that's where his wife's family is, and they're sick of Florida heat. Yep, he's leaving his kid for cooler weather.

I doubt he'll make much effort - he makes little effort to do much of anything. He has zero plans for how to handle visitation beyond Skypeing.

Yes, kinda. But more so lately. I think I started at a bad time for the company. I was a SAHM and loved it. I had to take the job because my marriage was in shambles and I could see the end was near. So from the beginning I hated the job because I felt like I had to take it.

I can't believe it! That week away really is throwing me off.

Hi, all - I just read first and last of the 8 or so pages since I last snuck on.

We had playgroup this morning, which was fun - at my dearest friend's house, and she has a gorgeous inground pool. We head out for tennis lessons for me and the boys in about an hour.

Thanks for the well-wishes on the boat. The weekend turned out fine, though the rental boat was a total POS. But, the out-of-towners, who had no previous expectations, had a ball anyway.

We actually hit the wind screen of the boat on a bolt, which shattered the whole side of the windshield. The good news is that no one was hurt and it's fixable, but the bad news is that it's hard to use without some sort of wind protection and the boat is old enough that they no longer regularly make the parts for it, but not SO old as to have a ton of them being junked for parts. We have a temp solution that should be ready by Friday - D is happy, as he felt he'd killed the whole rest of the summer. He was driving - it was just a freak little thing that turned the boat where it shouldn't be, but he totally blamed himself and felt like he'd ruined everything he'd worked so hard to plan. Poor guy.

So, we couldn't get back out to our rental on Wed. as the boat was covered in shattered glass. We drove home, but then went back up with everyone for the rest of the weekend and rented boats, and D's dad was beyond thrilled with the surprise.

It was just a long weekend trying to keep D from blaming himself and moping. Plus, the weather, as always this summer, was pretty stinky once the others arrived. Still, we had a nice day on Saturday, and a good visit, and the house was gorgeous. I'll get some pictures up soon.

I hope you all had quieter weeks. I see Dawn needs a "girl drama" too, and Janet, hope your friend is OK. Jo, did you have fun at your parents' places? How did their health stuff go?

I don't know if I'll get back tonight (and I don't know if I'll catch up on subbed threads today - but I'll be around...) but D is flying Thursday to just early Friday morning, so I might be a little MIA until then.

We're trying the boat on Friday once he gets back (at something ungodly like 7:30 a.m. - he's just flying back from NYC) with the temp solution (basically, clear plastic that snaps on like our cover does, just wrapped over the empty windshield frame). If it's OK, we might do a partial day Saturday, but will come back for our every-other-month playgroup dinner. Sunday, he leaves for a week.

I just looked at room rates for our Oct trip since AP rates came out. I booked a bounce back offer, but AP rates are better. Problem is, I booked POR and they do not have AP available. I checked out other resorts and on the phone, they are quoting me a higher rate than online is. CM says that Saturday night stay is not getting the reduced rate, but online it is the same rate all nights.

So I can move to Coronado Springs and save $100 or I can move to Boardwalk and spend $400 more. Was considering Yacht Club, but decided against it because we are going to eat at V&As this trip.


To everyone going to Disney in the next few days, have fun!

Hi Kristal! School is going good. We're at mid-term already! I know I have an A in my math class, not sure about my computer class though. It's a keyboarding class and from the graded timed typings I've been doing I think they should be in the A range but not 100% sure. Either way I know I'm passing it.

And yes, not going until next year does give me a long time to plan. (A little too much ) I want the trip to be a surprise for the kids though so it is a good thing that it'll take a little longer to plan.

And yes, while I'm jealous of y'all and your trips I'm excited for you guys too. Y'all deserve them and I can't wait for you guys to get back and here all about them.

My ex was the opposite. He was living in WI/MN and moved from there to FL/LA to get away from the cold. LOL And mine thinks calling the kids 1-2 times a week is a good way to be a parent.

The kids and I were supposed to go this past Christmas to Dinsey but I had to cancel the trip. When I called to make ADR's or change the reservation, etc. they would ask me what I was celebrating. It was to be for my 30th birthday and for Lindsey's birthday but I also told them I was celebrating my divorce. I would have loved to see that on a pin.

I sat down and started reading this around 1:30. It's now 4:30 and I'm just getting back. Between filling swimming pools, fixing lunches and dinner, settling fights, and who knows what else, I'm tired.

The kids and I went to the library this afternoon for a reading program. They got a 2 movies to watch and some books. Lindsey got some kind of Barbie book (like the level 1 reading ones or whatever is for kids in K-2nd grade) and sat and read the whole thing out loud by herself. I'm so proud of my baby girl and how well she's doing.

That's about it for us. I have a math test I need to study for a little later tonight. YUCK!

i am to tired to quote. I wanna go back on vacation. My brain is too tired.

I went to work today for a while 2 and a half hours! We had a surprise shipment but it got done and I had to get home early to wait for the UPS guy to come. Today was the final attempt day for some computer parts KC ordered to build his friends computer. If I didn't come home to wait for it he;d have to travel ab0out 2 hours to pick them up and 2 hours back. I'm such a good wife. In the end the UPS guy came around 4pm, so I could have stayed at work till2. Whatever.

I had a second cup of coffee when i got home but apparently a nap is in order soon, my eyes are drooping closed.

Oh and I can't seem to pick out a darn Vera purse!!! I know I like 2 colors (Bali Blue or Purple Punch) and a few styles (libby, morgan, on the go, saddle up) but can't make a choice...really I just want someone on ebay to have them for a steal.
