The dog seems good now. The boat can be work, but it's getting better. At first it felt like just getting everything ready to take up was awful, but we're in a good routine now. And it's nice to relax all day on the boat. But then I do pay for it - I have a TON of stuff to do today, since I was barely in my house all weekend.
*******************************************************
We had a good day with our friends on the boat.

I would have some pictures, but D & I both forgot the camera. Then... When we got home, D said, "Where IS the camera." After a full search, we think it pretty much HAS to be tucked away on the boat. I am hopeful, because otherwise it's just gone. Sigh. He says he took it a week ago today, when he took the boys by himself and I stayed here to clean, do the dentist, etc. I haven't seen it since - the last pictures on the computer are from the 4th - and I'm usually very quick to move them over.
They came back in the pitch dark that night, so I bet it's stuffed away in the cubby and we just didn't know it all weekend.
We all slept in a bit this morning. I don't know where I left off, but D got put back on a trip all week, so he left about 10:00. I did an Active workout and have just sent the boys outside. It's sunny and 70 - a little cool for July, but I'll take the sun, and hey, we still haven't put our AC in.
Woody is overtired and grouchy this morning , but hopefully that will settle down. I think at some point we have to go to the grocery store. Tomorrow we have playgroup somewhere else, and then all 3 of us have tennis. I may try to arrange a playdate for Wed. D's not home until late Thursday.
Mostly, though, I'm hoping for a quiet week (sorry, Jo & Dawn

) as we do go up to the lake for the rental house week on Sunday. I need to get ready for that, the boys have a birthday party to go to Saturday...
The rental house has us bringing our own sheets, and I have to figure out the sleeping arrangements. There are three bedrooms in the house - two have queen beds (no problem, our guest bed is a queen, so I have sheets for that.) The third has a double and a twin. We have no twin beds in my house, but 3 doubles (both kids' beds and the pullout), and then there's a "bunkhouse" that has something like 4 twin beds and two doubles.
There's the four of us, FIL & stepMIL, and BIL and futureSIL. FIL & MIL won't sleep in the queen bed together at my house, saying that they're too used to the king, so generally he sleeps in the queen and she takes the double pullout. (Don't get me started, she drives me insane...) So, I don't know if I should tell them to sleep in the bedroom that has the double and the twin, and go buy some twin sheets?
The four of us will be there from Sunday - Thursday alone, so that's no issue. But then FIL, MIL, BIL and SIL arrive Thursday night and we have three nights like that. The boys SAY that they want to sleep in the bunkhouse, but I don't know if they'll really feel comfortable with that or not. It's the best if they do - then BIL and SIL can have the other queen, MIL and FIL in the room with two beds, and the boys in the bunkhouse on the double for which I have sheets.
Does that sound reasonable? FWIW, MIL and FIL have two guest rooms, one of which has a day bed with a trundle and the other has only 2 twins, so I don't feel bad asking one of them to sleep on a twin.

(And yes, I do see the irony of her then saying my queen guest bed is too small.)
