Am I the only one whose appetite kicks in when it's hot?? :confused3
Sorry T. :hug: I'm the opposite - all I want in hot weather is small portions and tons of fruits and veggies. It's winter that kills me!
I'm on a trip planning role! I'm all laminated. Ahem. :teeth:
WOOO HOOOTY!!! :woohoo: 11 Fuzzy days!

:rotfl2: I thought you had a plastic bin all set from last year for your locker? No?
Yes. But it was underused and repurposed as a holiday decoration storage box. ;) Turns out, there aren't many items I use only for WDW, so I now have a small Vera Bradley box for that stuff.
I've come up with a new name...heh heh and just need to run it up the OL flagpole
popcorn:: This is gonna be good, I can tell!
How's my litte buddy Leo? You must be so thrilled he's home.
Beyond thrilled! :goodvibes And yet...
I could really use a break.

It's all Michael...all the time....

I'm worn out....

I'm weary....
Yeah, I'm exhausted already, lol! Our mornings are just sooo rushed with needing to get him up, fed, tricked out with lunch/helmet/boots/swim stuff for camp. I missed him terribly the past 2 weeks, but I caught up on sleep big time! :thumbsup2

As you know, I'm dealing with crud on the parental home front. My "dad" has decided to wed the lovely person who named herself my "moms" BFF, only to take her hubby as soon as she died and pull apart our family, so we are alone. Gotta love her. ;):headache: It's sucky.
I'm sorry Jen. :hug: Hang in there!

If they have not come to a decision about the plant site that I currently work at by September, we are cutting back drastically on everything we can.
I hear ya Kristel. :hug::hug::hug: I'm safe until Sept. 2010, but have no idea what may happen then. It's hard!

Ellie's solo was beautiful and it was hilarious near the end when she had to hold Robins hand, her face was a picture :rotfl2:
Awww! :goodvibes WTG Ellie!

hi everyone. just checking in before bed.
Hi Rachel! :wave:

Hi to everyone else! Hope everyone has a great day.:goodvibes
Hi Janet! :wave:

Saturday we went to sixflags and I discovered I am tooooo old for wooden roller coasters.
:hug: That just plain sucks. It happened to me a few months ago. I'm still in denial, though. As well as still in pain. ;)

What are you guys doing?
MEL:banana:
Hi Mel! :wave:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another day gone on the road to WDW here. Wish they'd move faster!
I've got a riding lesson scheduled tonight, barring any rain. I haven't been on a horse in about a month, so I'm expecting to be in pain tomorrow, lol!
Nothing else new. Just whiling away the hours...
:woohoo: Me too, except now I have to pause the Disney planning and plan our weekend in Lancaster!
That sounds awesome! A mini-trip to help pass the time for Disney! :thumbsup2
Sadly, I don't think I'll be laminating anything.
Yet.
I did see an Office Cheapo nearby so I could do it there. Not the same as having my own stuff.
Head over to Wallyworld and grab a roll. That's what I did. :teeth:
Sorry, honey. I tend to not want to eat, the hotter it gets. Which is why I'm sad the high was 74 today. :lmao:
I don't know what is wrong with me? At least I"m not packing on any pounds... I've got enough reserves. ;)
Mel's asking eveyrone to post their favorite drink at Epcot and has generously offered to drink one of each!
Have a shot of tequila in honor of your brown Focker friend! :goodvibes
As the matter of fact I had a serious conversation with Doug about it. If they have not come to a decision about the plant site that I currently work at by September, we are cutting back drastically on everything we can.
I even told Doug to check the LP tank. If we need fuel, get it now while it is still cheap. The satellite will go. The long distance will go. (We have cells.) The books, CDs, movies, eating out will all go. The turtle will go. I can't afford to heat the pole barn all winter. No vacation fund. We are getting a half of beef from my friend this next week. That will hold us in meat for a good while. I will stock up on staples from Aldis.
If it looks like I won't have a job at the start of the new year, I will have to call a/the mortgage company to see what we can do with a refi. There is no way we can afford the payments on Doug's salary. I = 2/3 of the household income. NOT GOOD, FOCKERS. We do have a substantial savings and I would get unemployment for a while but I'm just getting in the right frame of mind for the worst to happen.
The sad thing is - none of it has to do with the economy! The pharma industry is changing and my plant is too old to be useful for the new direction of boitech! I left a great job because I thought that this would be it. I could retire in comfort. CARP!
Sounds like you've really thought this out, Kristel. WTG, but I hope you don't have to implement "the plan", KWIM? :hug:
Well the show was fantastic, poor Robin cried at one point because he lost his voice but he got over it. Ellie's solo was beautiful and it was hilarious near the end when she had to hold Robins hand, her face was a picture :rotfl2:
Today I have a golf competition for a cup, I won it last year so it would be nice to retain it but I'll just play my best and see what happens :thumbsup2
Awww... did you video Ellie's solo? Have fun at golf. ;)
hi everyone. just checking in before bed.
Hi Rachel
Anyway. after work I picked up all the kids then stopped by the grocery store to get some things for sixflags. I didn't realize that Omicron left his shoes at my sister's house so I was in the grocery store with all 5 kids, Tau was pitching yet another of his famous fits, Delta was running around the shopping cart, and Omicron was bare footed. Yes, I was a total redneck.
:rotfl2: Sorry, but the mental picture is hilarious!
What are you guys doing?
Procrastinating. :teeth:
Sorry T. :hug: I'm the opposite - all I want in hot weather is small portions and tons of fruits and veggies. It's winter that kills me!
I'm eating tons of fruits and veggies, they're just not doing anything. I think my stomach is the bottomless pit. :lmao: Maybe I need to start drinking more water? :confused3
Another day gone on the road to WDW here. Wish they'd move faster!
You're telling me! :rolleyes1
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Well, I got rid of one kid - she's at VBS with my cousin and her DD. Evan was supposed to spend the night at my brothers, but I got a phone call at 10:30 last night to come "pick me up, Momma". :headache:
So now I'm sitting here debating whether or not to head to the gym or work out with the evil trainer. :sad2:
Hope everyone has a great day. :flower3:
ETA:
Holy CRAP!!! LOOK AT MY TICKER!!!:faint:
Today I have a golf competition for a cup, I won it last year so it would be nice to retain it but I'll just play my best and see what happens :thumbsup2
Hope you did well, Jo. :goodvibes
Good morning Friends!
Yikes! It was a busy weekend here! First of all, Friday, after all my Xboss's rude comments, everyone left and it was just him and me. He kept saying how much he enjoyed working with me, how I brought so much to the department, bla bla bla. I thought i was going to throw up. I swear I don't understand men. I dont understand how he could be so rude then say such nice things. Bottom line, I don't believe any of the things he was saying.
Eewww...nothing like schmoozing you on the way out the door. Good riddance.
:hug: That just plain sucks. It happened to me a few months ago. I'm still in denial, though. As well as still in pain. ;)
Might I have witnessed this? Just for the record, even LOOKING at Kat's pictures of Coney Island brought back that oogie feeling in the pit of my stomach.
*************************
Hey Fockers!:goodvibes I've been reading along, but busy. Just found out the boys take placement tests for school next week, so we're *refreshing our memories* on everything from long division to sentence diagramming. So much for summer vacation.
And we got DH's car back last night ($517 dollars later:scared1:) only to have to take mine in for a slow leak in one of the tires. Then I woke up to a PIN code in my inbox. :eek: If only....if only...
Have a great day!:flower3:
Just a quick hello since I shouldn't be on the pc. I stayed home from work today since I don't feel too hot BUT we spent $25 bucks on Potter tickets so I am still going to that and sleep all day tomorrow so Thurs I can get in to work in the morning.
I need to straighten my hair and get my purse straightened up and make dinner to bring to KC before the movie. I feel slow and procrastinat-y. LOL yea it's a word if I say so.
Have a great day everyone!
my dates in sept are 19th- 26th.
I don't suppose you're near the Poly early on the 25th are you???
Then yesterday was Monday. First day without a boss and already issues with customers, issues with the shop floor, etc. Oh, and 1st grade orientation for Omicron was last night along with karate. Sometimes I wish I had a duplicator machine so there were two of me.
:hug:
So, we have swim this morning at 11. Then home. I am going to do some laundry and then chill out.
Enjoy!
I've got a riding lesson scheduled tonight, barring any rain. I haven't been on a horse in about a month, so I'm expecting to be in pain tomorrow, lol!
Have fun!
Awww... did you video Ellie's solo?
Nope didn't dare, you're not meant too :rotfl2:
Hope you did well, Jo. :goodvibes
Nope :rotfl2: So are the boys going to school?
Hope you feel better soon!
Well I played rubbish golf but scored fine, not good enough but OK. I'm so fed up of playing bad but scoring good because I know that I can play so much better IYKWIM!
I had to make an EARLY morning run to the grocery store because Gus' friend is allergic to EVERYTHING!
Delta had a lot of child hood allergies but luckily he grew out of it. He was allergic to eggs, wheat, milk, fish, grass, cats, dogs, roaches, and gluten. Now the only thing that affects him seems to be cats and grass.
:hug: That just plain sucks. It happened to me a few months ago. I'm still in denial, though. As well as still in pain. ;)
Yes, getting older sucks. :hug:
Good luck at the riding lesson. Oh and I forgot to say :hug: for Leo being home.
Placement tests? For what grades?
And we got DH's car back last night ($517 dollars later:scared1:) only to have to take mine in for a slow leak in one of the tires. Then I woke up to a PIN code in my inbox. :eek: If only....if only...
Woo Hoo for the pin code!!! Sorry about the timing not being right. What was the pincode for? I got a free dining one but we can't go this year again :sad2:
BUT we spent $25 bucks on Potter tickets
$25? For movie tickets????
not Focker Locker?
OMG! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
All this talk of disney in the fall is making me really sorry that I canceled our US trip. Our days were going to overlap with so many of yours. :sad1:
I have been cleaning all day long. I cleaned Omicron's room on Sunday from top to bottom. Every drawer, closet, under the bed, behind his dresser, EVERYWHERE. He has outgrown some toys and wants me to list some on ebay. He's so funny. He wants to write the sales pitch because he thinks he can do it better than me :rolleyes1
Today I tackled Alpha's room. My goal is to go through the house one room at a time before school starts. Alpha's room I carried out two large bags of garbage, and one box of toys to donate, and two loads of dirty clothes. Oh and BTW, DH is not allowed to do room inspections anymore. His was waaaay out of hand.
Oh and DH is talking to someone about a new job. It would be a pay cut, but better benefits, closer to home, and a 4 day/week work week. We are crunching numbers to see if we can afford the pay cut.
I am taking Alpha to the dentist then we are headed straight to karate. TTYL
Hi Janet!
:wave:
OMGosh. Uh, I better start training....
::yes::
WOOO HOOOTY!!! :woohoo: 11 Fuzzy days!
I will either do a mini TR here, or on my PTR!
=================================
Home from work. Jim and Jimmy did a great job painting the swing set. Hunter Green and Brown don't lok as bad as I thought they would. It's more chocolate brown than cofee brown as the color chip looked. Will take pics of it once it is dry.
Not much on the agenda tonight. Jim is heating up left over chili for dinner. Jimmy is having scrambled eggs. Then we may go to get water ice, but that's about it. Jimmy is wiped out.
Well the show was fantastic, poor Robin cried at one point because he lost his voice but he got over it. Ellie's solo was beautiful and it was hilarious near the end when she had to hold Robins hand, her face was a picture :rotfl2:
Sweet!
Sometimes I wish I had a duplicator machine so there were two of me.
:hug: I would imagine.
I had to make an EARLY morning run to the grocery store because Gus' friend is allergic to EVERYTHING! We didn't have any more soy milk and he can't have eggs. That eliminates pancakes, french toast, waffles, eggs of any kind, toast, bagels, etc.
YiKES!
:faint: Why did you have him over? :lmao:
Totally kidding - poor kid, that must be hard. :sad2:
I've got a riding lesson scheduled tonight, barring any rain. I haven't been on a horse in about a month, so I'm expecting to be in pain tomorrow, lol!
Surely the squats will help with those muscles, no?
So now I'm sitting here debating whether or not to head to the gym or work out with the evil trainer.
What did you decide? I kind of intended on the evil trainer today, but haven't had time - the tennis aerobics will have to do for today.
Hey Fockers!:goodvibes I've been reading along, but busy. Just found out the boys take placement tests for school next week, so we're *refreshing our memories* on everything from long division to sentence diagramming. So much for summer vacation.
Sigh.
And we got DH's car back last night ($517 dollars later:scared1:) only to have to take mine in for a slow leak in one of the tires. Then I woke up to a PIN code in my inbox.
Typical. :hug:
Have a great day everyone!
Hope you're feeling better. I read somewhere that they're splitting the 7th book into two movies. I still haven't seen all the movies - I just love the books so much, and I know that they can't fit everything in a 2 hour show, but...
Well I played rubbish golf but scored fine, not good enough but OK. I'm so fed up of playing bad but scoring good because I know that I can play so much better IYKWIM!
::yes:: I'm sorry. I played bad tennis today, too.
Oh and DH is talking to someone about a new job. It would be a pay cut, but better benefits, closer to home, and a 4 day/week work week. We are crunching numbers to see if we can afford the pay cut.
Hope it works out for the best, whatever the best may turn out to be. :goodvibes
Water ice? :confused3
********************************************************
We had a good day, once it finally got going. I think I've mentioned that I'm reading the Harry Potter books (but not all at once - we finished #1 and are starting #2, but we'll break for a while before going on...) and the kids were asking all about the other book titles, etc. It made me think that I gobbled #7 down in one night when it came out, but hadn't really picked it up since, and I wanted to look at it again. :rolleyes1
I stayed up until after 2:00 and read the whole dang thing through again. :rotfl:
So, I was slow to get going this morning and we had to pretty much head right out to playgroup after breakfast. Playgroup was good, then we skedaddled over to tennis. It was fun - we got to play outside - and then home for dinner. The kids are just getting ready to head to bed now - it was a good day! :thumbsup2
That's really all I have - we were busy, but nothing too weird or funny happened to us. :rotfl:
I'll check back later! Hope everyone's had a good day! :grouphug:
Water ice? :confused3
:faint: :sad2: You so have to visit Philly
Italian ice is a frozen dessert made from either concentrated syrup flavoring or fruit purees. It is not shaved ice that is flavored, rather, it is made by the same process by which ice cream is made: mixing ingredients and pouring them into a batch freezer. Common flavors include cherry, coconut, piña colada, blueberry, and lemon. Some specialty shops also sell a wider array of flavors, such as cantaloupe, orange and chocolate.
So are the boys going to school?
Are you not homeschooling next year!:confused3
We are going to try virtual public school. The state has contracted with Calvert School in Maryland, where I got #1's curriculum from last year. So they are doing the Calvert curriculum through the state. They stay home...they have an online teacher, plus an at home teacher (me), and the state keeps all the records. Record keeping was becoming a nightmare with the three boys. And, honestly, the day is rapidly approaching where I can't offer them what they need. Virtual school is a step toward a bricks and mortar classroom. As it is, #1 is on the verge of knowing more math than I do.
Oh, and Debra, I have a rising first grader, fourth grader and eighth
grader.
CE, I did the same thing with books 6 and 7. I just wanted to remind myself of the story line. :laughing: I couldn't put them down.
Gotcha. My FIL is an ausitor for the atate and audits all the schools here in PA. He just recently audited a cyber school here. He said it was amazing!
I hope it turns out to be a wise decision. We really just needed more for them...mostly the oldest, for now. My teaching certification is in middle and high school English, so I can talk all day about the merits of a 12 line sonnet, but toss anything other than basic algebra at me and I panic.
The school gives us a computer/printer on loan and a stipend for the internet. The curriculum shows up mid-August and they start the 25th. It's a major adjustment, but I think in the end it will be worth it.
Hiya Peeps!
Well the Dis just dumped my whole quote update. I'm not repeating it. What is up with it lately? Very frustrating. If it wasn't for you guys, I wouldn't be here any more.
:hug: to all. Slow day for us.
I'll just let you all know that the computer was missing from my list of "get rid of" stuff. We'll keep it going as long as we can. After all, I use it to pay my bills. That saves stamp money. Plus we can watch movies and TV series on it when we want. The big thing is - I don't know what I would do without my Fockers and Enchanters to talk to. :goodvibes Probably eat more. We can't let that happen, right??
Gotta get back to work.
