whilst I took BA to the hairdresser, the pup chewed hunks out of my new coffee table AND chewed the cord off my iron. Ab was supposed to be watching him but fell asleep. I'm really ticked-------and I'm NOT getting enough of an apology to suit me.

Oops, don't blame the puppy! ;) Bad Ab! Get out a rolled up newspaper. ;) I remember all the stuff that got chewed when our dog was a puppy. That's a rough stage...

The motha walking ahead of me...just to show me who's better...

Jon sitting on a chair outside of a funky little shop...before the chair, which was twice his size, tipped over on him...

Poor Jon!

I need help............

Ab has had neck pain for over 2 weeks.........can't get to sleep .........I took her to a chiropractor today.....never been to one but heard good things about this one.
He said her neck was not curved right...looked like a whiplash but we've had no accidents. He did a ice pack, TENS and alignment.
Now she REALLY hurts. What do I do? Supposed to go back tomorrow and Fri.

Any experience out there??

The whole gang.

My BF's sister-in-law works for a chiropracter, and when I went, the same thing happened. They said, they need to work out the kinks and it's not uncommon to hurt the first few times. I never went back...:confused3

My Neck is almost straight. When I was seeing a chiropractor to correct this problem.. at first it did hurt. The muscles are used to holding the neck a certain way.. now we are manipulating them to where they SHOULD BE.
This can be a SLOW process.
Now sometimes... they do not get a good alignment... and that makes neck pain worse. I have actually gone back in (the same day) to get another adjustment because that one did not help.

Usually you feel wonderful after an adjustment. Is she going back tomorrow.. if not.. and she is still hurting tomorrow.. call and take her back in.

So long as she has not had any swelling in between the neck vertebrae.. put heat on her neck... and gently massage it. It may very well pop while you are doing this.. hopefulle it will give her some relief.

I've gone to a chiropractor for the past two years. I agree, sometimes the adjustments make the muscle pain worse for awhile because the muscle memory is wrong. My guy has this stuff called "Bio-Freeze". It's like Ben-Gay only it doesn't stink nearly as much. I have lower back problems and I use my heating pad to help relax the muscles. I would definitely let the guy know tomorrow that it hurt worse after the adjustment.

Thats it Jen! I'm coming down for Spring Break! Make sure you get your own place by then. I don't want to have to put Motha in her place whilst there!

OKAY girls...who is who in the zoo pictures? hmmm? Why don't you all come here to MN...we can got to the MOA (Mall of America), I can show you a good time! Any takers? boo hoo no one likes MinneSota.

Hallelujah! It worked! Tanya...you be da best! My siggie is fixed!:cool1:

Now I need back my other TR. :rolleyes1

O.k. between the hit and run posts I have made today and my dd having the computer for several hours I have gotten lost. I saw a new puppy, a lot of pics of bad outfits and hair, and a nice trip to Old Town, and a zoo meet. I will now just pick up from here and get ready to be lost again most likely tomorrow.
My mom is giving me for graduation a plane ticket for me to take a long weekend trip. This won't be until at least next summer since she wants to make sure I actually graduate this time :lmao:. Yes I have been know to change majors a few times.

Okay, here are some more pics from the Indy Zoo DISMeet today:

First of all, the animal pics... I just have to say that in all my trips to the Indy zoo, I've never had such good luck with the animals. They were very active today. I'm sure it was thanks in part to such a nice day (mid 70s and sunny).

According to one of the teenage zoo volunteers, this tiger paces around the compound every morning. He got really close to the "fence."

My girls pose with the giraffes after feeding them a treat. Would you look at that tongue???!!!!???

This is Kedar, the youngest male elephant at the zoo. He will be three years old in October.

The lonely polar bear. The zoo used to have two, but one died recently.

After lunch, the kids had fun at the splash park inside the zoo.

Here's Carla's DS playing drums on the spraying flower:

By the way, here's the pic from the other camera, to compare to Carla's son's pic of my DD:

A self portrait DD7 took of herself:

My DD4 wasn't very cooperative at the end of the day for group shots:

We had a great day at the zoo. And as Carla said, we chatted just like we'd known each other forever! In fact, we ran into a lady I know from church and while I took my DD4 to the bathroom (for about the 4th time!!!!) she asked Carla how we knew each other. I think she was a bit shocked when Carla told her we met online!!! :rotfl2: :confused3

Elephant... Jodi, which one is this? You seemed to know A LOT about the elephants. ;)
1001479ft4.jpg

Okay, so the reason I know so much about the elephants is that they are my DD4's favorites!!!! She loves them and asks questions constantly so I've had to read on the zoo's website so that I can answer her! I'm not sure which elephant that is, Carla, but if I had to guess, I'd say it was Ivory, who is the mom of the baby elephant in my pic.

The whole gang.
1001595gs4.jpg

Just the kiddos. Come on, smile! :goodvibes
1001596iv9.jpg

Thanks for the great day Jodi. It felt like we were old friends that did this all the time. Sorry about DD's whining, I know she would have stopped if I bought the Dippin' Dots but I just couldn't after the wasting of the $3 hot dog. ;)

Okay, it sure wasn't just your DD that was whining!!! I think the whining was spread all around pretty evenly! Do you see my DD4 in that last pic??? And I admire your strength in not giving in to her whining! Obviously, my DDs didn't get Dippin' Dots either!

OKAY girls...who is who in the zoo pictures? hmmm? Why don't you all come here to MN...we can got to the MOA (Mall of America), I can show you a good time! Any takers? boo hoo no one likes MinneSota.

Let's see, in the pic, you have me (Jodi) holding my DD4, then my DD7, followed by Carla's DS, Carla and Carla's DD5.

As for Minnesota, my DH worked up there a few times before we were married and I did spend three or four days up there one summer while we were dating. We visited the mall quite a few times and even went to the Minneapolis Zoo! :rotfl: I liked it quite a bit, but then again, it was July....

Hi everyone! We watched Nancy Drew and we all liked it! Even my oldest, who I secretly suspect just liked it because Nancy was quite cute....
Oh well, as long as we had our family together time, I'm cool with that.

Going to get a bowl of soy ice cream. I have enough pts left for the day and God knows, I've earned it.

MEL:banana:

Thats it Jen! I'm coming down for Spring Break! Make sure you get your own place by then. I don't want to have to put Motha in her place whilst there!

Honey...you had me at mall of america! :lmao:

Come on down Jen!

And trust this...THIS Jen can't stand to be with the motha forever. This is only while house hunting. We have officially been at each other's throats 3 times today. Ya' ready for this:

1. I cook real food, not egg white omelets and lean cuisines. SO, the motha hasn't lost any weight in the past weeks. Me, on the other hand...I'm down 5 pounds from the sheer nagging of my motha.

2. I slammed the door. That's right, I slammed the door. Not because I was channeling some teenage attitude. But, because the door to the room I stay in is broken, and if you don't slam the door, it pops back open. I was ordered not to slam the door and to place something heavy in front of the door to keep it closed. And if I slam the door again, I will have to replace said door.

3. She began ordering Jon around like a slave and I put a stop to it. Jon has chores at home, and he has chores here. My motha...is a lazy bum. there, I said it. Her hubby cleans the house while she is fanned and fed grapes...well, practically. So, she added to Jon's chore list without asking me...ordered Jon to start cleaning the kitchen. Jon already is reponsible for the dogs, the bedroom, making the beds, cleaning the tubs, folding some laundry, putting it away, and vacuuming. It's enough...and last time I checked...I gave birth to him, and it's my gift to tell him what to do. Although I think he should have to listen to her...so I had to confront her out of ear shot about making him into a mini-slave. Apparently, because he doesn't vacuum the whole house every day, he doesn't have enough to do.

Please God...I need a job so that I can move out.

And I need a new prescription for Xanex!

Okay, here are some more pics from the Indy Zoo DISMeet today:

Great pics!!! And how do you know all the animals names??? :confused3

Mel, go to Dairy Queen and get the GOOD stuff!!! You deserve it!!

Great pictures Jodi and Carla! I wish I lived closer to you Jodi! We would have so much fun! :rolleyes1 Mel,,the same goes for you!
But then I would be in a landlocked state, both of them! although MI has the great lakes,,too cold though...

Charlie had a great nite! Steve cant believe its the same dog that he had last night! he called me at work twice ready to bring him back to the pound! hes going to be a mommas boy..:goodvibes

Sorry about the drama with your mother. I could probably live with mine, but my MIL would drive me batty!

As for the animal names, it's only the elephants' names I know. The Indy Zoo is really proud of it's elephant herd and was the first to successfully breed elephants using artificial insemination. They've had four successful births in the past eight years, so the elephants have been in the news quite a bit. The local NBC afflilate and the newspaper had a "Name the Baby" contest for the two most recent baby elephants born. I submitted a name for the one born on my birthday two years ago, but I didn't win! There's also a whole section of the zoo's website all about the elephants, which I've read more than once to answer DD4's elephant questions!

Wish I lived closer to you too, Ed! As long as I don't have to switch allegiances to the Patriots..... :sad2:

I keep hoping that you'll find a way to make it to the Ip Dip meet in October. :sad1: Just know that I'll be missing you and I want a Flat Ed!!!! You already have my address, right?

I'm glad Charlie is getting more accustomed to his new family. I'm sure he'll be a Momma's boy! I've got one of those. He loves me because I feed him, but when he wants to play, he goes to DH. Just about like the kids.....:sad2:

And trust this...THIS Jen can't stand to be with the motha forever. This is only while house hunting. We have officially been at each other's throats 3 times today.
Sorry you have to deal with all of this. I am sure you will find a good job and a good home soon.

I hope I can remember everything!

Jen2- Love the pics of your new hometown! And here's a  for you. I feel the same way about the chores thing. My oldest is starting to get cranky about all she's asked to do while they visit grandma. :sad2: My mom and I wouldn't last 3 days in the same house! :headache:

Amy- I have the same problem with C. All the clothes in her size are baby-ish. That's why I've pushed her into the 5/6 size. So she, at 7 yrs old, can wear clothes that don't have Dora on them! :sad2: I need to get off my duff, & photgraph all the Disney clothes she's decided she won't wear. I think I'll put them on eBay and just let me favortie Fockers know if anyone is interested. :rolleyes1

TE- Naughty Ab! :headache: I've never been to a chiropractor, but I'd probably go one more time and tell them how bad she hurt and see what happens. :confused3 Good luck!

Parla & Jodi- How fun! I love the pics. Especially the one with Jodi's DD4 pouting. :lmao:

Carrie- The puppy's so cute! I like Hollis as his name too! :rotfl2: :lmao:

Mel- So far we've avoided too much back talk. I think because B's afriad I really will bust out my "go go gadet arm" and bop her on the head! ;) :lmao: She's thinking about sassing me, though. I can tell. :scared:

Katt- Hi! :cutie: Your house is clean enough. Put down the Windex and come talk to us more!!! :lmao:
