Kat- Please share the recipe. That looked par on!

Been a bit MIA this weekend. I helped with my friends surprise party. I now am the owner of quite and few blackmail pictures of about 20 neighbors. :lmao:

After my hang was over...

We were host to the US Womans Open. We were lucky enough to get to go and view.

Last night after showering my beach bum kiddos, Tink decided to climb up on the ledge of the Whirly pool tub. She did her bestest to "balance beam" the ledge and fell.:headache: She hit her head on my make up table chair and we were off to the Children's Hospital for the evening to get stitches. :headache: The cut is on her eyelid. :headache: :headache:

These were her 2nd set. :confused3 She is only 3.

Welcome to the dark side Kat! Hey, because of the Fockers I picked up "new moon" by S. Meyer. Do you think it will be ok to read them out of order or should I hold out for twilight?
no no no!!!

Read Twilight first! It will make so much more sense (and it is the best book of the 3 so far IMO)--get it tomorrow--my library even has several copies.

Hey everyone! :wave2: I don't even think I'll be able to catch up around here...there's 20+ pages for me to go back and read.

The kids and I were in a wedding this past weekend and it was BEAUTIFUL! The bride and I have been friends since middle school, lived in the same neighborhood growing up, went to the same church, hung out in the same group and have been great friends! I met the groom in high school and hung out with him as well. The bride and groom have had an on again/off again relationship since freshman year of high school and FINALLY made it official!

But, the wedding was held on a farm in the middle of no where PA. The ceremony reheral and dinner were fun. We spent the entire day out on the farm helping set some things up. The rest of the bridal party was there with their kids so mine had a BUNCH of kids to play with had had a GREAT time!

The day of the wedding didn't start out so great. We all had hair appointments at 1PM. They didn't get us in the chairs until 1:15 and then took their good ole time. I didn't get into the chair until 2:45 and we had pics at 3PM. I got done at 3:15 and still had to drive a 1/2 hour to the farm. I made it though, threw on my dress, got the kids dressed and was ready for pics.

The ceremony was to start at 5 and actually started then. It did rain a little before the ceremony and the bride kind of freaked, but it all turned out. :) They did a thing in their ceremony called handfasting which was kind of interesting. Never heard of it before but suited them so well.

It started to POUR down rain during the reception though. It didn't bother any of us one bit though and partied into the night. The bride looked sooooooo happy!!! Right before sundown the rain stoped and a double rainbow appeared over the tent. Everyone came out to look and Rick and Julie both just stood there holding each other taking it all in. It was too sweet.

I had fun though and I *know* my kids did too. All our friends from high school were there and some I haven't seen since the last wedding we went to which was 3 (maybe 4) years ago.

So...here's some pics of my weekend...

Greetings Fockers!

Got back this afternoon from our weekend trip to Ohio to visit the family. It was a lot of fun, one of our best visits yet. Did a little shopping and got some nice stuff but most of the time was spent hanging out with family. We got to see a lot of my uncle's family this trip which was nice as usually their schedule is so packed with my cousins various activities. My brothers and I even took our young cousins out one night without the parents for dinner and ice cream and then to the theatre to see Wall-E. (LOVED IT!) The weather though was nuts, you would have thought we were in Florida! :lmao: Everyday it would start out sunny and hot then a huge thunderstorm would pop up for 30 minutes or so with torrential downpour and then it would clear up and be really nice again. :confused3

Sounds like fun, Lessa. But tell me, is it cheaper to buy here or in Canada? Is Canadian money THAT must stronger than the dollar?

The dollar pretty much hovers around par. Some days it is slightly higher and others slightly lower. The reason I love shopping in the States is not so much the bargains but the different stores and products available. The price difference is nice as well though and you really notice it on certain items. I always wait and buy books while in the States as they generally run $5 cheaper and that adds up when you are buying several at a time. Clothing is cheaper as well as some electronics. The biggest place you will notice the difference though is when car shopping. The same car that is available in Canada can be up to $10,000 cheaper in the States. Gas is also slightly cheaper in the States.

hey all, i tried to get online, but the dis was down sat night, then on sun our internet was down at work. it's back up now, so hello guys!!

jen, i know it's hard to make decisions like that , but you're making it for the right reasons!!

i tried to check out twilight at the library, but it's on hold , like forever, so i think i'll just buy it this week!!

happy tuesday everyone!!

maybe i'll get a chance to check in later.

WAKE UP MEL !!!!:lmao:
Vacation is OVER.. Back at it Missy !!!! :goodvibes
Mel and Lori I never got "caught up" on this thread so I just jumped in and do what I seem to do best... get people stirred up.. or at least Mo, Janet and TE :lovestruc

V why is it still raining in Florida.. I thought I was going to drown it rained so much and so hard while we were there and I looked at the weather map today... Looked like the ONLY PLACE it was raining was the State of Florida :confused3

Dawn, So what did you eat , (or feel like eating) for your "Last Supper" ?
Hang in there girl.. this time next month it will all be just a bad memory.

Kat, I have not gotten to check out the software you sent me... Tell KC I appreciate his help and as soon as I get to try it I'll let ya know the results.

Well.. Sara came down with "Strep" yesterday... and we have a new case in the house today... ME Great.. NOW I HAVE TO GO TO THE Dr. :sad2: I would rather be sleeping but I woke up and my throat , and the rest of me felt so bad.. I could not sleep.
INstead of coffee I am sipping some "Chicken Soup" I made yesterday.

Morning all...

Lori- You're kids are just precious! :goodvibes I love the picture with the rainbow!

Jen2- I can't believe you tricked me like that! Every time you said a new shocker I gasped! :lmao: I'll go check out your TR in a few minutes.

Jen- Poor Tink! How's she doing now?

Katt- I had a big lunch at the Mexican food restaurant with a mango margarita. :lovestruc I didn't eat much for dinner (two kolaches) b/c I felt yucky  and K didn't come home for dinner, so I didn't cook. :confused3
I hope you and Sara feel better, Katt!

Today's my first day of liquids, so that will be all kinds of fun. At least it'll be over soon and I'll be on the road to recovery. I broke down and cried last night b/c I'm just tired of feeling yucky. K wasn't sure what to do with me. :sad2:

Anyway, the kids go to Grandma's in the morning, so hopefully we'll have a little fun today. :cutie:

You better watch out--I've got the whole collection of disgruntled former crayons, and I'm not afraid to use them!!

:scared1:

Last night after showering my beach bum kiddos, Tink decided to climb up on the ledge of the Whirly pool tub. She did her bestest to "balance beam" the ledge and fell.:headache: She hit her head on my make up table chair and we were off to the Children's Hospital for the evening to get stitches. :headache: The cut is on her eyelid. :headache: :headache:

I didn't buy a lot, a new purse and wallet were the big expenses. I also got an Ariel shirt from the Disney store, some stuff from Victoria Secret and a new planner for when class starts up in the fall.

Me: I see I was billed 2x for the same international call
Verizon: I don't see how that could happen
Me: Please pull up my current bill and look at the bottom of page 5 ( I know from past experience then can so this and scroll through and see page #'s)
Ver: Ok what do you want me to look at
me: the duplicate charge on the bottom of page 5
Ver: OH, how did that happen
me::rolleyes:
LOL, yeah, that sounds about the same!
Now let's see if it's fixed on the next bill!
Exactly - I have doubts about mine.
Ok who is 10th in line for the throne, hey no googling allowed!
Okay, I'll have to think this one out...
Charles = 1
Wills/Harry = 2,3
Andrew = 4
Beatrice/Eugenie = 5,6
Edward = 7

And then I'm stumped. :confused3

Amazing as it sounds... there are people in America that can not Name the VP or Speaker of the house.
Worse - how many people think the President has the power to enact laws? Based on the American Gov't. course I took a few years ago with a class full of recent high school grads.... TOO many. :sad2:

You all are Focktastic, making pretend you like my pre trippie. Spank you all so much:hug:
Silly Mrs. - there's no pretneding - you're darned FUNNY! :thumbsup2

Hello to everyone!!!! I'm home.
Hi Mel, welcome back!!

OK all the pronunciation talk is pretty funny. KC loves it when I fake the British accent! I think I stink at it!
My faux-British accent is TERRIBLE! Just ask Jo. ;)

Greetings Fockers!
Welcome back Lessa!

Hi Rachel! Hey - are you still in need of a handler for Flat Rachel during FockerFest? I'll be happy to wrangle a third if you'd like her to travel with me!

V why is it still raining in Florida.. I thought I was going to drown it rained so much and so hard while we were there and I looked at the weather map today... Looked like the ONLY PLACE it was raining was the State of Florida :confused3
Welcome to Summer in FL! It rains at least every afternoon and our rain tends to go horizontally. Good stuff. :headache: But. We desperately need it - fresh water reserves are the lowest ever and we're on major water restreictions. :worried:
Well.. Sara came down with "Strep" yesterday... and we have a new case in the house today... ME
Girlfriend, you need a BREAK already!

Morning all...

Anne is 10th I think, but I have no idea who 8th & 9th would be. Wouldn't Edward's daughter need to be in there somewhere? Where are Jo and ROsie...we need help people!

Good morning Focker Friends! It is a bright and sunshiny day in pjv land!

Not!:scared:

Tink awoke in another FUNK. She is playing the "woe is me" card to the Nth degree. She looks at her self in her Princess Mirror hanging in her bedroom and...

WAAAhhaaa!

Mommma my****ooouie! Whaaaaaaa!

Her swelling has gone down, but the drama of the whole deal may take days, months or years to suppress in her little memory.

I have loads of laundry to get through today. It is going to be 90 and humid, so it is a great day to do it. DS has a play date~ HERE!

BTW~Tink can't be in the sun for the next year without gobs of sunblock on her eyelid... Hmmmm, How am I gonna do that? I thought sunblock can't go on lids? Any suggestions of products that can? She also can't go swimming until they are out, which should be on the 4th:confused3 The hospital sent me home with a suture removal kit and told me that we can do it ourselves. :confused3 Right. No way! They do not know my little Tink! She is like the exorcist child.:scared1:

Morning!

I think I heard Fla. got 10 inches of rain in June... if you ask me .. it all came June 17-25 :scared1:
This was the first year we needed the Poncho's that we always have with us. BUT we NEEDED THEM EVERY DAY... :faint:

O.K... It's not a TR.. but it sort of is.. ( even though I am missing photo's due to my STUPID CAMERA :headache: )
We were "Croc-Sitters" while in WDW and we hosted Flower.

Howdy Howdy Howdy!

I'm awake Katt! I couldn't sleep on my lumpy mattress after the wonderful bed I slept in at BWV. :sad2: Sorry you and Sara are sick! for you!

It's a beautiful sunny day in MI today. It's going to be 80 and partly sunny. My lawn is about a foot long. My kids are already bugging me to take them to friend's houses....ah summer.

Today my dh is going to start painting our bedroom. Finally. It's only been 6 years since we moved in! I am going to do laundry. For a long long time. I loved vacation, and having a washer/dryer but we still have a TON of laundry!

What's everyone cooking today? Kat? You are the TFW Chef!!!

MEL:banana: :laundy:
