So I am doing laundry today and between beach laundry, what didn't quite get done before we left, and what we wore this week I have 8 more loads to do

I am working from home today (Yes TE, I actually did some work) so it gives me a chance to catch up. We have another busy weekend ahead of us.

This afternoon we are taking water ice and pretzels over to Jimmy's school for afternoon snack time becasue it is his last day there. Then after that we are taking him to get roller skates. We will probably go to Friendly's for dinner.

Tomorrow we are going to the Crayola factory. That is an hour and a half away so we will need to leave by 8:00am -so much for summer vacation.

Sunday my girlfriend invited us over for a little BBQ and to swim, they just got a new pool. Jim and Jimmy will be fine since they both are off now. I however will be exhausted going back to work on Monday

I am with you on the laundry. I HAD it all done WHEN WE LEFT.. did 4 loads while in Disney.... today I have to do the new dirty laundry and what we wore yesterday.

Tomorrow we are going to the Crayola factory. That is an hour and a half away so we will need to leave by 8:00am -so much for summer vacation.

He has an idea of how it's done now, since he has seen the "Mr. Rogers" goes Crayola Crazy video.

I just did a quick sprint down the road, Ellie is round the corner playing with some friends and Jess is due home any minute, well I suddenly remembered that Ellie is still wearing Jessica's T-Shirt that she had on for sports day (it had to be yellow) and Jess had said that she wasn't allowed to wear it, so to save any drama I made Ellie change and I've hidden it at the bottom of the laundry bin

That is sooooo funny!

Good job, Mom! Way to keep the peace!

I had coffee and a bagel with my friend, but she had to cut it short b/c her oldest has a doctor's appt. So, I ran to Target. I was in so much pain, I could barely get the 8 things I grabbed. I came home to take some meds before I go get the kids.
When I get home I'm going to stay off my feet as much as possible with a heating pad. So, I'll have plenty of time to DIS today!

Tink and I are home from her last day of class and I promptly put her to bed for a nap. We'll see if she actually falls asleep. So far I hear a lot fo tossing and turning. We dropped off DS at his friends for a playdate. Upon handing him over, I let the mom know that he is not allowed to play outside without an adult and defiantly not allowed anywhere near the lake. (we live in a community with large lake that many families live on). I got some strange vibes from the mom (who is really nice). This is the same mom that the first time DS played at their house, I asked if they had guns. She said no, WHY? I told her that I always try to ask, and verify if the family does have them, they are locked at all times. She thought that was a strange question to ask someone. The way I see it, it is my job to protect my child the best I can. If a family lives on the lake, has a pool or guns in the home, there are extra precautions that the parent watching the children need to be prepared for.

Good for you. I do the same thing. Jon always looks at me like my head fell off when I tell him he can't go to friends houses that I don't know. Like I'm just going to let him go to some stranger's house. I always tell him they need to come to our house first, so I can meet them and get to know them. The parents who let their kids come to my house without even meeting me...eeesh! Jon doesn't get to go to their houses at all!

Barbieville Day 10: My days of free work are over! I start as a paid employee come Monday!
It was an interesting day.... I was exposed to scabies, was invited to a botox party and met an up and coming singer who attended this years Grammy's... something Levine or Levino?? I'll have to check on Monday.

When my day was over, I thanked the Dr. for the opportunity and she freaked out and asked if I had decided not to accept her offer. I was fearful that her face would crack, so I quickly explained that I would be back on Monday as an employee, but wanted to thank her for the experience as a student. She was ecstatic, but kept pushing to know exactly when I would be able to go full time. Blech!

So, here's to extra Disney money!!!

Hello there everyone!
I've seen many DISers in the attraction line-ups but they have been with their families or busy breathing in the wonderful Walt Disney World atmosphere. Ahhh, what a lovely place---ohhh right, where was I?
Right, well, I hope that you all don't mind me joining in!

Welcome! I'm Jen...single mommy to Jon, who is 12. I'm a speech therapist in the schools, but am relocating to Albuquerque, NM in the next couple of weeks.

Well, my interviews went great yesterday. One of the sites offered me a job on the spot, but the pay is not where I want it...and they weren't willing to negotiate. SOOOO...that's going to be a no. I need to live...I don't have anyone helping me raise my kid.

But, I've gotten hits on several other jobs that I want. So, I'm still in the hunt. I just knew those jobs yesterday weren't the ones.

My motha left this morning for a week-long vacation...so it's just Jon and I here in the house. We're going to go to a concert at the zoo tonight. And I'm doing resumes and cover letters all day.

And I went and got my motha high speed internet yesterday. Because that whole dial up thing about chapped my hide.

FLOODS, FEASTS, AND MECHANICAL FAILURES....


Sounds like the Title of a TR.

Y'all know the Drama leading up to Disney... So I was HOPEFULL for a great Vacation, A Small "Focker Meet" with Mel, 6+ rides on Space Mountain and some good Food since we did the "Dining Plan for the First time.

Lets see if I can condense this past week.

First night... at MK everything we rode broke down on us except POTC... it was CLOSED.

IT RAINED all but two days while we were there. I do not even look like I have been on vacation much less to Fla.We have been going for 5 years now and this is the first time we needed poncho's EVERYDAY. But the rains were torrential.. and trying to preserve a BBB Princess Updo is extremely difficult under these conditions.

Joshua became hard to deal with. He hated almost all of the food, and then we discover ...OH he is SICK...AGAIN... in WDW. He can not handle anything when he is sick... to the point that he got into a fight with all of us.. scaring Sara and BIT Scott. He was out of control.. I kept waiting for the police to show up.

Sara sprained her ankle a little bit so we had to buy a ankle supporter for her.

I was forced onto TOT but survived... my baby has grown up and would not bail on me this year.

We spent so little time in the parks riding rides because Joshua just could not handle the walking, and the waiting even with a G A Card.

My Camera feaks out on Saturday... so I lost 200 pictures and some video... my video camera also freaked out and both had been serviced and or repaired within the month. Sara has some duplicates that she took but not everything.

After a horrible drive in what seemed like a hurricane to us Virginian's to MCO... the flight was delayed 2 hours.. Joshua was not handle that either.. was already freaked out by the rainstorm .

Get home at 1:00 am to a house that was 85 degrees because there had been a bad storm here in Va on Sunday that tripped a lot of the breakers including the A/C .. so we had no cooling and temps were 90.
So that was a long night. Add to that Black ants had invaded my home.

Next day/same day ...just had daylight.... Take Joshua to the DR... HE HAS STREP. Now who has the MOM of the Year Trophy Could not know that was what he had. But I feel awful. July 2005 he got Roto-Virus the DAY WE LEFT.

Oh... and I have a issue myself in "Girl-Land". And it began in Disney.. just got worse. Can not sit... can not walk with out pain. It's nothing like what Dawn is going through ( Dawn ) but still uncomfortable.






These Gals... are just the Big things that occured. Usually right now I am bummed that the vacation is over... right now... WDW could close and I would not care. I hate feeling like this. At least we were smiling in pictures...
which BTW... I did not get a Pic of us at Chef Mickey like I always have... but that's drama for another day.

Katt- Actually, it does sound like what I'm going through. have you ever been told you have endometriosis? That could explain the pain while your being visited. That's part of what I have. The most painful part, I might add.

Just pay attention and go to the doctor if it's not better.

So, this is my last weekend before the big surgery... I'm so glad it's coming up in less than 6 days!

I'm hoping to get my family to clean the house and do the normal weekend chores. I'll have to pack the kids' bags for their visit to each Grandma's house, along with mine. I also just have a few things like getting the dog's nails trimmed, (Boy, I hope he doesn't jump on my incision!) and wrapping my nephew's Bday gift so the kids can take it to him next week.

I've been feeling bad and so tired, that I'm trying to let go of all the things I think need to be done beforehand and just focus on what has to get done. But it's hard for a neat-freak like me to ignore things.

Well, have a relaxing weekend everyone and I'll check in again laters...
