Jill -- Welcome to the group. I am Margie, full time student and single mom to Nana(dd 17) and Bug(ds4). I am studying to be a teacher. I owned a pizzeria for many years and then worked in a body shop. When my ds was born I started a daycare and love working with young children. I started back to school and am studying Early Childhood Education. Hope you have a great trip and I really like your shirt.

Jill: WELCOME! :welcome: I'm Mel. I live in Michigan, but I'm from Boston originally. I have two boys 10 and 15. And a wonderful dh. We don't have pets. I can only keep kids OR pets alive. Not both. :sad2: I am a SAHM and my dh works really hard so that I can go to Disney!! :) Welcome to the Nuthouse!

Welcome! I'm CE. I have twin 6 year old boys, my DH is a pilot, and I stay home to DIS. Oh, wait, I stay at home for the kids. Yeah, that's it.

Thanks, Margie! It's good to be here...I hope you love teaching as much as I do! If you love kids, it's the best job in the world.
I can't wait to wear my shirt! One of my kids' parents at school "Disneyed it up" for me...just a plain old Wal-Mart shirt. Can you imagine? It must be nice to have that kind of talent....me? I can barely sew a button back on:confused3

Hi Mel & CE! I think SAHMs are awesome! I would want to do the same if I had kids.......DH won't let me stay home with the dogs....the nerve!;)

My DH is a teacher and this is his last week of school. He teaches Middle School Math:faint:
To quote Barbie:
"Math is hard!" Seriously...wow...middle...school...math:worship:
Give me a room full of six year olds ANY day!

Welcome DISchick! Have a great trip! :hyper:
I'm Dawn. I have 3 kids B (dd11), C, (dd7) and A (ds5). I'm a homeschooler and that's about all I do- be my kids' mom... ;)
Wow! Homeschooling must be tough...I am sure it is rewarding and fun, too!

Thanks for all the welcomes....if I missed anyone, thank you, too!
My brain is in it's pre trip fog. We're down to hours now!:banana:
I'm gonna try to go to bed early...7:45 flight means leaving for the airport by 5:15 according to my must be early DH--that's AM, people! :)
I'll try to check in while we're there and give you a shout out!

Oops! Gotta finish packing and take Rosie to the groomer so she won't have "presents" in her tail for the dog sitter.

Hey Jo!! I don't wanna go to the groomer , please tell your new friend not to take me:rotfl2:
Seiosly Jill welcome to the Fockers!! One of their goals is to pick on my computor skills ( weell deserved picking) and then of course there is Jo's sneezing!!:lmao: But Jo is the Bestest!!:goodvibes

Hey...did you just say that cuz I"m mexican?
;) :lmao:
You're such a dork! :rotfl: I said that because we were talking about enchiladas so much, I had to have some for lunch. I wish they had flan too! ::yes:: I had to settle for some leche quemada candies instead. Yummy! :thumbsup2

She's Here! She's Here!

It should be over before we get through the gates at BWV. Thank Goodness.

Ok, go back to your lives.... :rotfl: :rotfl:

Mel:banana:
Yippeee!!! I'm happy for you!
For some reason it feels so weird to feel so happy for someone to get their visit. :eek: Oh well. :confused3 That's what we're for!

Wow! Homeschooling must be tough...I am sure it is rewarding and fun, too!
It's not any tougher than what you do I don't think. I guess I do have to remember different grade levels of different subjects, but that's what geat curriculum is for! ;) But, it's for my kids, so I do it.

I was a private school teacher for pre-K for many years. I find it much easier to teach my own children. You have the hard job! :eek: :hug:
Have a great trip!!!

Hi again Jill I forgot to tell you about me I am 100 years old:rotfl2: no11 just 61 and I too am originally from England, hence Jo is the Bestest!!I am a site manager of a group home for MR adults. I know. But be happy because I am!!!

I want it OVER WITH when we get to Disney!! This is perfect (well, not really, Tuesday would have been perfect!) timing.
We leave Friday to drive to Charlotte, NC then stay there on Saturday for some cool Nascar stuff (Jo, did you hear that??!!) And then on Sunday we drive to WDW!
My dear Aunt Flo better be LONG GONE by then. No one likes her anyway!

Wow you sound so happy your Aunt Flo must be a lot more fun than mine :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Happy it will be over in time for you to enjoy the vacation. No one likes to take relatives on vacation:lmao: :lmao:
Thanks, Margie! It's good to be here...I hope you love teaching as much as I do! If you love kids, it's the best job in the world.

I do love to teach and I agree with you on the age. I can handle a room of 4-6 year olds but oh my the older ones just are not my box of crayons.

Hey all. Just a quick check in before bed.

T - Wanted to let you know that I put that Legoland coupon in the mail today - FINALLY:rolleyes1

Chat with you all tomorrow!

Ohhhhh...where is T? I need Barbie update of the day?

And how is your blingin' grill?

(that was my blatant attempt and being "down"...how'd I do? :hyper:)

Hellooooo everyone! :wave: Please, please don't make me go back and read 10 pages!! Janet... quick! a recap my friend! Purty please!!

DISchick: :welcome: to the Fockers! My name is Tracy, but I'm known as "T" 'round these parts. I've just completed a Medical coding course after being a SAHM for 5ish years. I've got 2 kids - Maddie 6 and Evan 3. I have a few quirks that are pretty well known here.... I tend to pack at least 3 months in advance for my Disney trips, I ALWAYS have a plan and I can't stand meat on the bone or in a casing. :teeth: Have fun!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Day 4 @ Barbieville: Well the sheet must have hit the fan on Tuesday, because today everyone was acting kinda weird. Tourguide Barbie was in a crappy mood and couldn't wait for the 5 o'clock hour and Alabaster Skin Barbie wouldn't really make any office decisions. I would ask her if she wanted me to do something and she'd tell me to go ask Ity Bitty Barbie (Office Mgr.). From what I gathered, there seems to be confusion amoung the ranks and lots of bitterness going on. Whatevah! :rolleyes1 I just danced around the office and did my humdrum crappy job. TGB wore a pair of painted on capri jeans and a painted on purple tee with the word "BOTOX" bedazzled on it! :eek: Her chesticles are sooo huge that it took me awhile to make it out as the B and the X were on sides, KWIM? :lmao:
So I've discovered the silver lining to these braces.... WEIGHTLOSS!! :woohoo: Down 5.5 pounds so far! I may actually fit into my vacation clothes after all!
Hope everyone is doing well... I miss chatting with you all!
MEL: Dangnabbit! You got "her", eh? Here I was all ready to organize a virtual baby shower!! :duck: :lmao:
How in the world have ya'll chatted up to 16 pages in 24 hours? Do we need to start wagering on when TFW6 will start?
I vote July 1.
MEL: Dangnabbit! You got "her", eh? Here I was all ready to organize a virtual baby shower!! :duck: :lmao:
Ooh T, You so Funny, Girl!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Margie: Yeah. She's not alot of fun but since it's her or staying awake for 6ish months or so and breastfeeding, I'll take her! :lmao:
----------
I'm watching the BBC news (Jo...it's funny right? I can't stand the American news...so biased.) And they just showed a commercial for a show that's airing next I think. It's called "Too Ugly to Love" and it's about people who think they are to hideous to be loved. That is so sad. Why would they make such a show? :sad2: What is wrong with this world? :(
I'm so excited! I am at only 23 pts for the day! That means I have enough WW pts to have a glass of wine AND a snack. I know it's silly but it's the little things that make me happy! :confused3 :goodvibes ::yes::
and G-Luv....i forgot to say good luck on the interviews. I know you'll do great! Smarty.
Mel:banana:
Nighty nighty everyone!
And thanks for the well wishes Mel!
Hey Mel are you planning on keeping up the WW in Disney? I really wish I had the willpower to keep up with a diet on vacation, but i have none.
UGH it's almost 11pm and KC isn't home yet...I have cooked and cleaned and now i'm eating my homemade cookies...bored...bored...bored.
ce- get a shower girl-- :rotfl2:
katt--- you're broadcastin' live-- so cool. oh btw-- i hate planning my days in advance. i'm gettin free dining and it's killing me to have my adr's . i actually made 2 days where i have ts breakfast and dinner, so i could have more free days!! does that make sense? i like to just do whateva i feel like doing that day. are we the only ones? :confused3
kat-- when you're bored, you can just come to my house and cook for my family. they wouldn't know what to do with all that homemade (good tastin) food. they would probably ask you why u weren't using the microwave!!!!! i know, mother of the year here!!! :rotfl2:
i love to laugh and anytime music is on, i'm dancin!!!
Jo, you're not supposed to EAT the gum, you chew it. ;)
Ahhhh that was where I was going wrong ;) :rotfl2:
from Jim all afternoon complaining that he still has 2 days left of school before he can start his SUMMER VACATION. Mind you, these 2 days will not have children involved with them``the kids last day was today. Can anybody conjure up some sympathy for him:confused3 Yeah, me neither
Errrr how many weeks off does he get? Our teachers get 13 weeks off a year and they still moan!!!!!
Just stopping in quick. I am heading to my dm for dinner. I thought I had all the cloths priced and ready for the sale and dd found 2 more bags in her closet and an 18 gal. tub of them in the shed. I do not remember owning this many cloths. I did however find a pair of Bugs pants I lost 6 months ago and a real nice shirt he can still fit into.
It's amazing what you find with a clear out :rotfl2:
So, after stirring up all this friendship stuff, I got annoyed with my own pitiful self and drove over to my friend's house with a book she left over last time she was here. She's almost laways outside gardening if she's home and tht's where she was. So, I said, "I brought your book back and I've been so emotional lately I feel crazy." She said, "Come on, come talk to me."
That's fantastic Dawn, I'm so pleased you did it and I hope your hormones settle down :hug:
Ah, dear Janet, do not be jealous. I will be there with MY AUNT FLO I'm sure and that means that everyone around me will be blistered from the fierceness of my tongue!!!
I truly fear for the poor children.
Oh Mel :rotfl2:
She's Here! She's Here!
It seems funny celebrating that :rotfl:
We're down to hours now!:banana:
I'm gonna try to go to bed early...7:45 flight means leaving for the airport by 5:15 according to my must be early DH--that's AM, people! :)
I'll try to check in while we're there and give you a shout out!
Have a fantastic trip and can't wait to hear all about it when you get back :goodvibes
Hey Jo!! I don't wanna go to the groomer , please tell your new friend not to take me:rotfl2:
Seiosly Jill welcome to the Fockers!! One of their goals is to pick on my computor skills ( weell deserved picking) and then of course there is Jo's sneezing!!:lmao: But Jo is the Bestest!!:goodvibes
Oh Rosie :rotfl2:
What are you doing? Watching or just a shop???
TGB wore a pair of painted on capri jeans and a painted on purple tee with the word "BOTOX" bedazzled on it! :eek: Her chesticles are sooo huge that it took me awhile to make it out as the B and the X were on sides, KWIM? :lmao:
OMG T can you smuggle in a camera? :rotfl2:
So I've discovered the silver lining to these braces.... WEIGHTLOSS!! :woohoo: Down 5.5 pounds so far! I may actually fit into my vacation clothes after all!
That's fantastic in a weird way, hope they settle down soon :hug:
You think the BBC news is funny? I never watch as it's always bad stories :rotfl2: And yep we have lots of those types of programs :confused:
UGH it's almost 11pm and KC isn't home yet...I have cooked and cleaned and now i'm eating my homemade cookies...bored...bored...bored.
Sorry you're bored Kat, what cookies did you make? Is there any clubs or anything that you can go to?
I went to the library today to enquire about those Twilight books you all keep raving about, which one is the first one as I need to order it! Also do you think I'd like them, I'm normally a Shopoholic easy reading type reader!
I'm off out to lunch with 4 friends in about 15 mins, it was meant to be for some of our birthdays, including mine which is in February, yep we're all so organised :rotfl2: We're going to this nice restaurant up the road, we're walking, which does a lunch time special of 2 courses and a drink, wine if you want, for $20 so really good value (well for the UK it is) and the food is gorgeous!
Jo, the first book is called, Twilight! :lmao:
I love the Shopaholic books. Twilight is definitely not a heavy read. Over here they sell it as a young adult/teen book. ;)
