We are delivering ds's stuff to his friends (they rode over on bikes to his house earlier. that kid will do anything to not eat stir fry! ) and then me, dh and ds10 are watching JAWS. I was WAY too freaked to watch it before vacation.... I think ds is too young, but dh says no. We'll see. I told him he is handling ANY and ALL nightmares...

I made chicken stir fry. Broccoli, carrots, onion, garlic. Some teriyaki sauce and cooked chicken. Served over brown rice.
I even had fortune cookies. Go me!

I took the boys to rent a video (we got Jumper) It has Hayden Christenson in it. (That's grown up Annakin Skywalker, for you non-Star Wars geeks) and it was pretty cool.

Then home for a salad and pasta with chicken. We watched our movie and then they invited friends over to video game with. I'm watching Mobile Home Disaster. Like Extreme Home Make-over but with trailers.... and doing laundry. It never ends!

Oooooo...Jumper. I want to see that movie. I might have to see if they have it on PPV or HBO. And that chicken with pasta sounds soooooo good. I'm going to have to try that sometime!

yes, yes, i luv it!!! i was wanted to check myself cuz i'm startin to get a little crabby in triage and needed to let the steam out before i totally went off on someone!! it can be a royal pain out here! i esp hate the "how much longer", from person with the cold symptoms x 1 month. i usually say, well we have to take emergencies first!! i know i'm going to get in trouble for that one . or when i say lifeflight is landing now for the emergent patient, so your runny nose will have to wait.

Rachel, you should be glad you don't work in the ER up here. We have a doctor shortage in our city so lots of people don't have a personal family doctor so they go to the ER for EVERYTHING!

I also deal with a lot of dumb people in my job, I once got a call from somebody who wanted an ambulance called because they twisted their ankle. The hospital and the university are right next to each, hobble or call a cab!

Ha! Awesome! Yeah. My sister is a tech at a hospital in MA. She is a Alzhiemer unit tech usually. Occasionally, they have her do ER or work in the offices. She hates triage. She said she has to refrain from screaming at people there! Mostly the drunk ones...

My partner in crime, gave her notice today. She's the peanut butter to my jelly! I was sooo bummed out! She's the only one who "gets" me. No one in that place even knows who Lisa Lampinelli is! Well, Dr. Botox and Itty Bitty Barbie convinced her to stay, only she's going into another capacity... as they're GOPHER! She's screwed now!

We have a new Barbie starting on Monday. Of course Itty Bitty Barbie is going on vacay next week, so guess who gets to train New Barbie? Yup.. you guessed it ... ME! Hello? Does anyone else find this utterly absurd??

Nope no ER for me on a bee sting.I took Peyton to the ER one time(well several times but anyway) because he was having trouble breathing even after his breathing treatment.We were in a room with someone only seperated by a curtain.all I heard from the other side was sniffling and some light coughs.Peyton's breathing was becoming more and more labored and the nurse went to find the Dr.The Dr. came in and came to us and the lady yelled "hey ,doc, I was here first and this runny nose is driving me crazy!" I had to hold my DH back...

The kids were talking about school today.Peyton and Rebekah are itching to go back.Tyler mentioned that all his jeans are too short and that is all he will wear to school.I had him try some on tonight and they are waay too short. I went by Kohls because he will need jeans for church Sunday.I had to go to the men's dept. My little boy is not so little anymore.He is now in a 30x30 pant and size 10 shoe.

I am sitting here laughing my ..butt off.I put DH in charge of putting Rae to bed ( I need a break from her)and she has hidden from him. She had a nap at 5:00pm and there is no way she is going to sleep any time soon.I could make her go to him but this is too funny.He never does anything but play with her so she doesn't take him seriously.

Okay, I found her for him.She was in my closet sucking on a pacifier that she has found somewhere. She hasn't had one since she was 2 but I swear those things will pop up until she is a teenager.

I am still .DH is wrestling with Rachel and Peyton.He told them not to slap him on his bare belly.I heard a slap and and yell.DH said something I couldn't hear and then Rae said " but I didn't ,daddy.I slapped your bare tit*ies!"

Jo- Congrats on the cup! DD finds hidden Mickeys everywhere we go. I think it's especially cute when we go to the Disney Store and she starts pointing them out. She doesn't understand me when I try to explain the difference between hidden and obvious Mickeys. P.S. I'm glad you aren't giving your IL the money. That's insane!

You used to be able to buy bootleg Song of the South DVDs on ebay. I think they've cleaned up the law breakers a bit. There are still some VHS tapes on their though. I never had the nerve to buy one but I did borrow a friend's copy who did have the nerve so the kids could watch it before our last trip. They were so excited to see all the characters and know who they were.

Jodi- I can't wait to hear about your AG trip. We are going for Spring Break next year. DD is getting her first doll for her birthday (January 1). She's had her Bitty Baby for a few years. When they played the Molly movie on TV a couple of years ago she just loved it so I got the books from the library. It was the first time she really sat and listened to a story when there weren't pictures on every page. We're reading all the Kit ones now before we go see the movie. Plus I bought the other three movies in a collection at Target for about $17 that came with a movie pass to see the movie. How could I pass that up?

Thanks to some pimping on this thread I started reading V's TR. I'm loving it. I also put Eats, Shoots and Leaves on hold at the library since her TR is making me self-conscious.

Santa is supposed to bring us a Wii for Christmas but he's afraid to buy it too soon and then have a problem with the warranty if it doesn't work. I may be running to all the stores every day starting in October after the kids get on the bus to figure out who's getting it and when. I really want the Wii Fit myself. It cracks me up that the Mii is gonna be a little chunky. Can I tell it that I'm just big boned? Nobody ever believes me when I tell them how much I weigh.

Tomorrow is errand day. I hope I don't get too far behind.

seriously, people just think it's a ride. when we discharge them , they actually ask us, well how am i getting home, the ambulance brought me here!! dude, i dont' know not my problem. don't call an ambulance for a toothace, esp if you have no way home!!! aaaaaahhhhhhhh

i totally get you about andy being too nice!! my dh is the same way. 8months ago , he got a new car. his old car was paid off, worth about $2,000. so he agrees to sell it to his younger brother for $500. i'm like, what!!!!! i was soooo peeved! well, my dh is not dumb, so he told him , you can pay me in payments, but you don't get the car until i have the entire $500. so, no payment, no payment, etc. then he gets a dui!! so it's been 8 months. we're going to use the car, since ours is wrecked. but after that , i'm selling it for as much as i can get!!

i don't mind being nice, but come on . dbil has no job now, no wife, no kids, and he's not in school. get a job , or 2!!! it would be totally diff if he was seriously trying, then i would help him. but i work mad overtime, just to pay off credit cards (and disney). he has no job, but he is out drinking evernight? where is the money comin from ?? i have my theories!!

Hello Focker Friends! I have sooo missed you all! I skimmed like 15-20ish pages, but there is sooooo much more to read! Who can give me the low down? I have been doing the 4th festivities and have a few great pictures to upload and show you! Seriously when I witnessed some good old fashioned Midwestern 4th festivities, the first thing that came to mind is WAIT UNTIL I SHOW THE FOCKERS!


T- I am working on a flat me. I have NO pictures of myself. It is really sad! I am the photographer, so I am never in the pictures. I think I will try and have Lil'l Diz, help me out.

So we went to the doctor today and it was confirmed that Tink has Asthma. She hasn't showed any signs of it, just allergies and eczema. Now she joins Lil'l Diz and I. My DH is all upset, saying that I gave it to them. Well when they get a pimple, I will be the first to point out that HE gave it to them!

I also took Tink to the Dance store and bought her her first pair of ballet slippers. She was walking on cloud nine! Danced all around the store and carried the box all over the place, telling everyone she got new BALLET SLIPPERS! She insisted on wearing them to bed tonight!

Lil'l Diz has his very first loose tooth! How long until it falls out? What should I give him from the tooth fairy? One of his friends got $100. I was thinking $5. Is that too cheap? I think I may have gotten $5 and that was... well, along time ago!
