Janet!! Its almost 1:30,,what are you doing up?

I was still getting stuff ready for the beach. Jimmy decided that last night was a good night not to go to sleep. He wasn't being bad, just wouldn't sleep. I couldn't start anything becasue then he'd get up and ask me what I was doing and then want to help:headache:

Today is the day! I'm up early and everyone is sound asleep. I like to do this when we go on a trip even if I'm not actually running around doing stuff. It gives me time to compose my thoughts and remember if I've forgotten anything...

Me too Mel, even if it is only 5 minutes I need that quiet time.

Today we drive from MI to NC. I don't know if we'll have internet in the hotel in NC, so if I don't see you guys for a while, have a good weekend.

HAve a fbulouos time and give Katt a big hug from all of us:thumbsup2

And last but not least (in case I miss Janet):

See you guys later!

MEL:banana:

Thanks:goodvibes I am 29 AGAIN::yes::

Me too, the salons are just so pricey

WHen I go to contact Mars (as Jim calls it when I get the foils done) it costs me $150 with tip and getting my eyebrows waxed:faint:

I went to golf today, I didn't have anyone to play with but luckily 2 ladies invited me to join them. We only played 9 holes but I was only 2 over par :yay: So I played to a 4 handicap :faint:

That was nice that they invited you to play, but isn't OVER par not good:confused3

Hello.. any one here.. or are you all talked out AFTER 20 PAGES !!!:scared1:

HI..
I'm here :yay: How's it going? Having lots of fun? Watch out for Mel when you meet as she's got a hug from me to give you :rotfl2:

That was nice that they invited you to play, but isn't OVER par not good:confused3
It is if you're a Pro but on my handicap I'm meant to play 14 over par over 18 holes so to play 2 over for 9 is superb :yay:

Hi Jo... Things are going good. This is odd though... It's not "BUSY"
Park is dead at night.. we WALKED RIGHT IN to Chef Mickey last night.. no wait at 7:30:confused:

When we left.. hardly anyone waiting.. and EMPTY TABLES.
That has not happened before.Must be the economy.

Here I am at work. We are all packed for the beach. Jim is going to pick me up around 2:00 and then we will head home, walk the dog, load thec car, pick up Jimmy and hopefully be on the road by 3:30. SOmehow, with Jim it will wind up being later. In my life there are 2 sets of time...Real Time and Jim time :sad2:

The forecast for the beach is slightly improved from yesterday. They are now only calling for rain Sunday night--we'll see, my luck we will get hit with a hurricane
hurricaneicon.gif
or a blizzard
smileysnowing.gif
(I know it is June, but with my luck this is what will happen)

I have more carp packed for a 3 1/2 day beach vacation that I do for a 2 week trip to Disney. What does this say about me...I over plan for Disney or I just don't care about the beach...you guys tell me ;)

I will be checking in before I leave. I have a 10am meeting, but other than that it should be a nice slow day here::yes::

Loving the report and photos CE, I especially like the clock photo, we were amazed at how long the Champs was, it seemed to take forever to get to the Arc, we walked everywhere but got the water taxi passes!

Here are a few of my photos!
And our favourite photo taken from the Sacre Coeur, we have this framed!

Thanks, and I LOVE that one. :lovestruc I actually have that view from my 1996 trip, but didn't get it this time.

Nothing exciting going on here today. We're doing the grocery run, cleaning house and running to Target to buy the girls "Camp Rock" shirts for the big show tonight.
We have my friend and her three kids coming over to watch it with us. The kids are really excited. I'm "eh" about it. I'm not a big fan of the Jonas Brothers' music...

Good Morning everyone!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JANET!!!!!!

Katt-- say "Hi" to Mickey for me. I'm jealous that you're there!

Mel - have a safe trip and try not to drink all the Lapus up before I can get there in October!

Dawn - We're planning a big Camp Rock watching party here too. I'm not exactly excited about it, but the girls are. We bought popcorn popcorn:: and everything.

----------------------

I've got a busy morning planned. Still trying to catch up from being so sick earlier this week. I've got to run to Kohls and pay my bill, run to Wal-Mart to pick up some items for our school (I'm the PTO Treasurer) and then buy a bunch of flowers, planters and dirt.

My neighbor was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and had a mastectomy on Tuesday, so another friend and I are going to create some planters for her deck this summer. Her family was planning on spending the entire summer on a mission trip in Africa (her husband works with Campus Crusade), but their trip had to be cancelled three days before they were supposed to leave because of her diagnosis. It's been a bit surreal around here since the end of May. But she's a wonderful friend and has three children (10, 7 & 3). Last week we were out on her deck and she mentioned that she hadn't planted any flowers since she wasn't planning on being here this summer. We were trying to figure out something to do for her and I thought that might be nice. That way, as she was progressing through treatments this summer, she would be able to sit outside and look at something pretty. I feel so helpless when things like this happen. I mean, there's only so many meals you can fix and so many times you can watch kids. We meant to do the planting while she was in the hospital earlier this week, but I was just too sick. So, we're doing it today.

After that, I've got to get the lawn mowed! It's really long! Too much rain! But at least we're not underwater like some of the counties south of us!

Thanks for the birthday wishes Jodi.:goodvibes

It's really sweet of you to do the planting for your friend. I remmebr you telling us the story earlier about them having to cancel their trip.

Forgot to say CE...Love the pics.:thumbsup2

Thanks!

I like it dark, too, just not always in the summer, KWIM?

I'm recording it to watch with the boys tomorrow, since I have that party tonight and D is flying tomorrow - that way he's not tortured with it tonight. ;)

So, we're doing it today.

That sounds like a really nice thing to do for your friend. I'm glad you're not under water. My dad finally got everything replanted. It looks like he'll be rich if he can get things to grow, the way the rest of the country's farmland is looking. :worried:

My friend went through something similar last fall. She said the best thing we did for her is go clean her house. We brought them meals. We took her kids so she could rest.

The flower idea is wonderful!!!

So much for replying today – you guys got chatty and I’m low on time today! Let’s see what I can remember…

HAPPY ALMOST-BIRTHDAY JANET!!!!

Mel Have a GREAT trip!

CE – I’m coming back later to read about Paris! As for hair dyeing, welcome to my world. My roots are 90% grey-white, so I have to touch up the roots every 2-3 weeks. I get all my supplies at Sally Beauty Supply and just do the roots. Takes about 40 minutes of my day, but I do other things while it sets. I wind up with “highlights” because hair takes the color in varying ways – the whitest of my greys turn out lighter than the greyer, which turn out lighter than the dark strands. Every 3rd touch-up, I’ll run the color through to the ends 5 m inutes before washing it out for a pick-me-up. At this point, I’m a touch lighter than natural because the grey really does show less.

Camping Yeah, I don’t do that. Good luck though Jen! :rotfl:

That has not happened before.Must be the economy.

I'm not all that surprised and here's why...

So, I got this idea last night that maybe, maybe we might hit Orlando over July 4th weekend. No WDW parks, just WPs and maybe Sea World.

CRAZY, right?!

Then I go through the Passholder portal as I always do to look at rates/availability. I expected to find nothing, or maybe a couple non-discounted Presidential Suites left.

Oh no. That's NOT what I found.

I found PLENTY of availability both 7/4 and 7/5... at great discounts! :scared1: I'm stunned. Seems like the recession is really hitting WDW this summer.

As for me... I may book this afternoon. ;)
