Wow, that sounds tiny! I'm trying to remember what my son weighed at that age - maybe around 75 pounds? I'll have to look it up. I remember that he played flag football in 3rd grade, we didn't want him to start tackle yet because there were some VERY big kids out there. Hope the adjustment on the meds works well.

Good luck to all at weigh-in tomorrow! I feel a maintain coming on:rolleyes:

Shawnprincess:

All of my kids are tall and lanky. Me, not so much. :rotfl2:
They take after their dad.

 hangs head in shame...I'm actually a Donald :donald:, I've been posting on the BL Princess thread....I will definitely do a better job of getting here after the race...

Maria :upsidedow

ooops... my bad. SO SORRY! But I really haven't seen you around, so I guess I was figuring you were a Mickey. Anyhow.... I'm STILL glad to see you and hope the race goes well for you.

So officially - Wed. 23rd quotd:

What is the thing that finally broke you plateau? It is so frustrating when you are losing and then suddenly nothing is working.

Well.... I know SettinSail mentioned this.... but oddly enough.... eating MORE often seems to break through a plateau for me. When I am not losing and I know I am doing most everything right (measuring my portions, drinking my water, plenty of exercise), it usually makes me start dropping my points lower and lower... until it finally dawns on me that maybe I'm not eating enough. And sure enough, one week where I eat all of my daily points plus all of my flex points and I am usually sure to see a drop on the scale!

:wave2:

Someone finally noticed!!!!!:woohoo::banana: Okay, it was DD's dr but it sure was nice to finally have someone take one look at me and say "You have lost weight!" And it was a statement, not a question. He knew for sure that there was a good amount gone. Still waiting for friends. . . It will be interesting to see if my family notices when I go home in a month. I am determined that I WILL be in ONEderland by then (and hopefully at least 5 or more below).

But the first NSV that has meant the most to me, that really has been my first goal of the entire thing-- I can wear my wedding ring again. That really has been one of the most upsetting thing about the weight gain. When I couldn't even get it on or off and had to just stop wearing it was really when I hit rock bottom. It is still a little "snug" but it isn't cutting off my circulation and I don't need soap to get it on and off.

Congratulations on BOTH positive things this week! I'll bet the compliment felt TERRIFIC! And I'm pleased for you that the ring fits. I had finally given up and had my ring resized UP shortly before I decided to get serious about this weight loss journey. So after about a year or so, it was too big.... and I had to stop wearing it again. I waited until I was closer to my goal weight and had it resized back down to my wedding day size.... but since then I have lost more weight and it is a bit big again. It is okay when I am warm... but when I am cold it is way too big, so I've stopped wearing it for the winter. I'll put it on again in the spring.

Not much was on sale but I got Pineapple, cantaloupe, yellow squash, asparagus (help me cook it, I have no idea how!!), and lemons. Oh and 2 flats of strawberries 1/2 of which the kids already wolfed down!! Thankfully I had about $13 in bottle redemption coupons I found from last year so I saved some serious cash. Darn healthy stuff is so stinkin' expensive.

I don't particularly mind paying the price if the fruit is really good. I find that Costco fruit is usually quite good.

Asparagus.... OVEN ROAST!! SUPER YUM.... much tastier (IMHO) than steaming. Wash... break off bottom (it should break naturally where it needs to).... pat dry. I put them on a jelly roll pan that has been sprayed with PAM and then I give the spears themselves a spritz with PAM. Into a 425 degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.... I like them a bit browned. SO delicious with just a dash of salt.

Recipe???

I need some good for you crock pot recipes!

It's not a crockpot recipe, but I did put it on the BL recipe thread.

I CAN dig up some crockpot recipes for you though. But not tonight.... I'm sleepy. If we have a snowday tomorrow, I'll do it tomorrow....otherwise, I'll do it over the weekend.

BTW, I got your PM, but I'm too tired to reply tonight. TTYtomorrow.

My visit with my son on Sunday was very nice. We took him out grocery shopping and then out to lunch. We talked about his classes this semester and he also mentioned his schedule for next semester His hair has been touching his shoulders for the last couple of years. It is now at the bottom of his ears. It looked great and little more professional.

Glad you had a good visit with him.

Hi Team Donald!

Just wanted to say "See ya real soon" I am off to disney. I am so excited for the princess race. I wanted to take time to thank all of you that has given me support over the past few challenges. I miss talking to you and cant wait for our boards to merge. Without these BL challenges I would have thrown in the towel a long time ago. Now I am heading to disney to run my first half stronger than I have been both mentally and physically in a long time. Love you all!!!!

Lindsay

Have a GREAT RACE!! See you when you get back!

Thursday 24th--The pool was closed today due to the weather so I decided to walk instead--what is your alternate exercise plan?

Well.... my first choice is a good walk/run outside. But I won't/can't do that right now with the snowbanks, slush, ice, and low temps. So my winter alternative is walk/run on the TM... either at home or at the Y. Can't get on the TM?? Then I will do a video... either WATP or Jillian Michaels or something like that. I will also mix up my workouts (both home and at the Y) with different kinds of weight training (free weights and machines) and calesthenics (jumping jacks, hill climbers, squats, etc).

Got up super early this morning but never made to this part of the boards.

OK so I had my US today, everything is fabulous!! The girls are super healthy! LOL The radiologist even said he double checked the mammo and said he didn't understand why I was back for a US.

Saw the podiatrist today, he is happy with my progress so far. He made a slight adjustment to the right ........

(sorry... I accidentally deleted the rest of your post) Anyhow............

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! LOTS and LOTS of good news at the doctor today!!! You must be feeling so relieved. Talk to you tomorrow.

Okay girls.... quick "good night" post, since I haven't been around much the last few days.

I TRULY don't want to sound like I am making "weigh-in eve" excuses.... but Aunt Flo must have enjoyed her recent visit so much, that she decided to make her return visit a full 7 days earlier than scheduled....:headache: RIGHT in time for tomorrow's weigh in..... So despite a good week food-wise and plenty of decent exercise, I'm not holding out much hope for tomorrow's weigh in.... I feel really bloated and icky tonight. oh well. We'll see.

Well.... working again tomorrow (assuming we have school... got some snow and ice on its way tonight). I'm happy for the income, especially with a Disney visit coming up. I'll try to find a minute or two to hop on here to see how everyone's weigh-in went and I'll be sure to PM my weight to Tracey.

Laptop battery is dying here, so I'll say goodnight!! See you all tomorrow.................P

Good morning Team Donald. It seems like it will be a quiet weekend here on the thread since a number of our team will be at the Princess this weekend.

I have a busy weekend planned. I will be working on costumes for the local high school. I am working tonight, tomorrow and Saturday. we have a lot to do and we should be able to get it done. the show opens next week.

Last night I felt like I was coming down cold. I went to sleep early. I still feel tired and achy. Some of it could be the weather and my arthritis. It is supposed to rain all day here.

Dh took the day off to go on a special tour in south jersey but they cancelled it because of the rain. He is still taking the day off but he has no plans for the weekend so I guess he will be hanging around the house by himslef while I am off working on costumes. But he is used to it after all the years I have been doing this.

Off to get ready for work. I am testing in most of my classes which is perfect for a rainy day.

Have a happy and healthy day.

This is for this upcoming week. We won the last one let's try to win this one. We can do this.

Welcome to Healthy Habits!

My name is CC (short for Christina) and I will be your Healthy Habits coach for BL 11. I love the BL challenges and Healthy Habits has helped me significantly in achieving many of my goals.

Some Background Information: Thanks to donac (Dona-hostess of Team Donald) and jenanderson for their amazing help so I know how to coach! I couldn’t do this without seeing them in action previously. I will be continuing the prizes that Jen started.

Here’s How Healthy Habits Works: Each week there will be 3 Healthy Habits (HH) to complete. The first two HHs will always be drinking water and exercising. (Note: The amount and time will increase throughout the challenge!) At the end of each week, you will tally up the number of points you earned for the week and send me a private message with your total. Here’s an example. For Week 1, the 3 HHs are drink Six 8 oz. glasses of water a day, exercise a minimum of 20 minutes per day, and eat at least 3 servings of vegetables a day. If on 4 days you get in all 3 HHs, you would report your points like this:

4/6 days of drinking water
4/6 days of exercising
4/6 days of eating veggies

Your total points (ex: 12/18) AND your team name should be in the subject of your PM.

This is a team competition. On/about Tuesday evening, I will post the week’s results. I will share the number of participants on each team and the top scorers on each team. New for BL 11: I will also list the people who earned 7/7 on one or more of the HHs for the week. If you participated on the team with the most participants, you will be entered into a drawing for the week's prize. Each prize will have something to do with the 3rd Healthy Habit for the week. I will post the winner and ask that you PM me your contact information. (Please Note: If you do not wish to be entered into the drawing, please let me know in your PM. I understand people’s WISHes for privacy.)

Participation in Healthy Habits is entirely optional, but I encourage you to participate and help your team be on top for the week. Good luck on your journey and I hope that HHs helps you as much as it continues to help me!

Welcome to Health Habits Week 9

Week 9 is 2/25-3/3.

This week's 3 Healthy Habits are:
1) Drink Eight 8 oz. glasses of water.
2) Exercise a minimum of 30 minutes a day.
3) Journal you food.*

*Journaling is something that is very important for many of us so it's back for another week. I encourage you to journal infomation like PointsPlus, calories, fat, etc., but even just writing down every bite you had that day is great! :goodvibes

At the end of the week, please PM me your points. I will post the results on/about Tuesday. Don't forget, this is a team competition!

Remember, every participant counts, regardless of the number of points you earn!

If you have any questions, please free to ask!

P.S. Week 7 Result shoul be up shortly, unless I fall asleep first. :rotfl:

Good morning Team Donald!

Our Princess runners should have an awesome weekend with no sign of rain and the weather will be around 68 in the morning but up to 84 during the day.
we were there last weekend and it was wonderful- a tad busy but still nice!

I have been MIA on posting, but still posting my weigh in's
we are dealing with a not so great exended family issue.
I have been trying to catch up.

So let's get on the the QOTD :)

I was reading this yesterday and realized my mood does affect how & what I eat.
So the QOTD is does YOUR mood affect your eating habits?

Thank you spark people :)
Here are a few more natural mood lifters you can try.
Eat often and eat light. When you eat at regular intervals throughout the day you will prevent dips in your blood sugar that can negatively affect your mood. Plan your meals and snacks to prevent yourself from getting overly hungry, aiming for three to six eating episodes (total meals plus snacks) each day.

Limit refined carbohydrates such as soda, candy, cookies, and white flour, which are concentrated sources of sugar. These foods may give you an immediate rush of energy, but they will cause you to crash and fatigue soon after.

Include a small amount of lean protein at every meal and snack. Protein will leave you feeling alert and productive for hours.

Eat foods rich in omega-3 fats. These foods have been shown to lift moods and can possibly alleviate depression. Omega-3 fats are found in oily fish like salmon or sardines, canola and olive oils, as well as flaxseeds and walnuts.

Ramp up your B-12 and folate (folic acid). Scientists believe these nutrients help the body produce a neurotransmitter called serotonin—a known mood stabilizer. Shellfish, fortified cereal, oatmeal, wheat germ, and vegetables are some of the many foods rich in these nutrients.

Get your daily dose of exercise. Whether it’s a formal session at the gym, a walk with the dog, engaging in a sport or just playing with your kids, getting up and moving will boost your mood and energy level.

Stick to a regular sleep schedule—even on the weekends. Although most adults require between 7 and 9 hours of sleep per night, you might need slightly more or less to function optimally. The important thing is that you consistently get the sleep you need.

Go outside and breathe in the fresh air. Take a break from your home or office to get some air and sunshine. Even stepping out into cold weather will wake you up and refresh your mind.

Listen to music you love. When your mood is spiraling downhill and the little voice in your head is anything but positive, turn on your favorite tunes and sing along. Soon, sweet music will fill your mind instead of negative thoughts.

Indulge your senses. Sights, smells, sounds, tastes and tactile sensations can quickly change your mood. Light a scented candle that evokes memories of the holidays, bake cookies to remind you of happy times at your grandmother’s, buy your favorite flowers and revel in the smell (and sight) of them, or soak in a scented bubble bath while listening to soothing music.

Do something that brings you joy. Whether it’s going to a movie, reading a novel or having lunch with your best friend, take a well-deserved break from work or stressful situations and do something you love. The change in mood will lead to better concentration and efficiency once you return to the task at hand.

Play or cuddle up with your furry friend. Just petting your dog or cat has been shown to lower blood pressure and evoke a sense of calmness, happiness and well-being. If you don’t own a pet, visit a pet store or volunteer at an animal shelter to get your furry fix.

Volunteer. There is nothing like the act of giving to those in need to make you feel appreciative of the life you lead. Walk dogs at an animal shelter, feed the homeless at a food shelter, teach English at a literacy program, or assist in programs for special needs children. Do your research and you will surely find a group that can use your talents and skills. If time is an issue for you, contribute through donations and you could evoke the same feelings of happiness.

Fake it till you make it. Researchers have found that the simple act of smiling seems to activate happiness centers in the brain. Keep smiling and in time, your mood will match your facial expression.

Create a list of natural mood enhancers that will work for you. Feeling angry? Write in your journal. Stressed? Try a yoga class. If you're exhausted, take a 20-minute nap. And if you’re feeling down, rent a funny movie. Remember, you have a choice and the ability to change your mood. With some trial and error, you will figure out the best strategies that work for you.
It’s quite natural for all of us to wake up on the wrong side of the bed now and again. If your self-care skills are optimal and you try some tips listed above, your pleasant disposition will shine through. However, if you still find yourself moody, angry, excessively tired or unhappy for an extended period of time, talk with your doctor. He or she will want to rule out any medical or nutritional causes before considering treatment for depression.

HAVE A GREAT DAY:) Team Donald!!

Good morning Team Donald!
So let's get on the the QOTD :)

I was reading this yesterday and realized my mood does affect how & what I eat.
So the QOTD is does YOUR mood affect your eating habits?

Well.... I have done some deep self-examination over these 3+ years that I have been on this journey to try to key into when/why I overeat or eat for comfort. I KNOW that my mood can definitely affect my eating habits.... but I've tried hard to change that. I have to remind myself over and over that food is FUEL.... not entertainment, not comfort, not love.

That said, if I am TIRED, I have a great tendency to want to eat/overeat to comfort that feeling. Hence, I TRY to remind myself to NEVER eat after 8:30 pm.... but with my schedule sometimes that is difficult.

GOOD MORNING! I've been lurking here since about 6 am, but things are really quiet. We have an early start to our school vacation, thanks to Mother Nature. I would have preferred to have a school day (the income would have been nice and we are now having to add days to the end of the year), but an early start to vacation is nice too.

I am considering this a BONUS day, so it will be a "do whatever you please" kind of day (well... except for DH.... he works at home, so no break for him.). DS and I are relaxing here and will be watching some "The making of Harry Potter" shows from biography channel. I'm not that interested, but it means a lot to DS to just relax and snuggle. DD is studying and recopying some notes she borrowed from a friend..... God bless her, she is such a great self-motivated student. I am always SO proud of that!

Later I will do a power cleaning of the master bathroom and then settle down at the scrapping table.

I had a small loss this week... I feel like it would have been larger if it weren't for Aunt Flo's early arrival. But a modest loss two weeks in a row, at my point in this journey, is great. I'm just 3 pounds over my all-time low from last year and 5.6 away from my ultimate goal (which I have yet to actually ever hit). If I could hit that goal before Disney in May..... I would be absolutely ecstatic! But it will definitely take some work... and I'm honestly not sure if I could maintain that low a weight. But I'd love to try.

I was looking around at some pictures to make myself a chart, like Shawn was talking about, and was thinking I might post some new before and after pictures here. I posted some last year on one of the other challenges, but I've found some better shots. If I get around to it later today, I'll post them.

Have a SUPER Friday friends. Remember.... not matter WHAT the scale says, you are making strides to a new healthier you.... and that is what is most important!.........................P

Good Morning Donalds!!

Well I'm glad the week is over but now the weekend is here! And that just means more temptations and kids and DH in the house snacking. Oh well - it's what I need to learn to manage.

I had a small loss of 1.4lbs this week. Definitely not going to hang on to my Big Loser title from last week :lmao:

My weak points this week: too much snacking!!! Had AF issues early in the week but I feel better.

My positives: I did great in my workouts  5x since last friday!

I keep telling myself just imagine the results if I quit the snacking whle maintaining my workouts :thumbsup2 Oh well.

Have a great weekend everyone and to all the Princesses running - a big GOOD LUCK and we're proud of you all! :cheer2:

Hi everyone. Its been a bad week for me. Came down with a cold last Friday. Moved to my chest so I didn't run for 6 days. Did run 4 miles this morning and felt good. Bad news is that I gained 1.2 pounds since last Friday. Time to get back on it.

David

Yeah....ok...so I suck.

I haven't been coming around like I said I would. I've gained wait in the last 2 weeks, my goal to walk a mile every day fell short, and my eating habits...out the window. :rotfl:

But it's a new day....a new week....a new start.

I picked up a sub-contracting job so that's been keeping me busy this last week. Only have another week left so hopefully then I'll be back here more.

But I think of you all often and routing for you all in my thoughts!!

:wave2:
Not going to get to the gym today. I may try to go tomorrow or just do some things at home. I did go on Wednesday and Thursday so that is pretty good for me! I used the upper body weight machines yesterday for the first time. Apparently my right arm is a whole lot stronger than my left because it was obvious one was having more trouble! I am really interested to see how my legs do since I have put most of my weight on my left leg the last few years so I am guessing it will be a whole lot stronger.

I had to take DD10 to the mall for a class last night and decided to leave my scooter in the car-- it was cold and raining and I didnt feel like getting it out. So I walked quite a bit while shopping in Borders (ours is one that is being cut :( ) . I was on my feet for over an hour which is a huge accomplishment for me. But I was really surprised that my balance quickly became a problem as I got tired. I was grabbing on to bookshelves to keep from falling. I was waiting for them to call security to remove the "drunk" woman stumbling around the store!

I had a great weigh in this morning. AF really messed me up last week. I don't think that I am actually eating enough most days, but I have found in the past that with SB I reach a point where I am not hungry. I try to have a few low days and a few higher days each week to keep my body "confused", but this week has been mostly low food days. Next week will be much higher because of the Scrapbook Retreat. I will probably indulge in a few goodies!;)

I am going to try to get to Goodwill today and see if I can find some long pants to put over my shorts when I go to and from the gym. I want some I don't have to take my shoes off to get on and off. Still too many fat rolls in the way to make tying my shoes easier!

Thursday 24th--The pool was closed today due to the weather so I decided to walk instead--what is your alternate exercise plan?

I have several options. I can do the 30DS DVD, an old workout video I have, go to the gym, or just use some of the strength exercises on Sparkpeople.

So officially - Wed. 23rd quotd:
What is the thing that finally broke you plateau? It is so frustrating when you are losing and then suddenly nothing is working.
I've never lost enough to actually hit a plateau! :rotfl: I would probably take a good look at my Journal and see if I need to increase or decrease what I am eating, maybe go back to Phase 1 of South Beach for a week or two, and look at my exercise and see if it needs to be adjusted.

OK so I had my US today, everything is fabulous!! The girls are super healthy! LOL The radiologist even said he double checked the mammo and said he didn't understand why I was back for a US.

Saw the podiatrist today, he is happy with my progress so far. He made a slight adjustment to the right foot on the insert because while the pain has diminished it's now in a new spot. .
 Happy girls and happy feet, always a great thing!

I CAN dig up some crockpot recipes for you though. But not tonight.... I'm sleepy. If we have a snowday tomorrow, I'll do it tomorrow....otherwise, I'll do it over the weekend.
DH kept telling me to go and get it resized but I refused. It is one thing to buy clothes in bigger sizes but I really didn't want to mess with my ring. I actually ended up just buying an inexpensive gold band at Walmart and have been wearing that for several months.

I would love to see your crock pot recipes. I will keep an eye out on the recipe thread.

So let's get on the the QOTD :)
So the QOTD is does YOUR mood affect your eating habits?
Thank you spark people :)
Here are a few more natural mood lifters you can try.
Great article! Lots of important information in it.
Of course my mood affects my eating. Tired and cranky are the worst I think because then I just don't want to cook or put any effort into finding something healthy. I just want something convenient I can grab and mindlessly shove it-- the higher in fat and calories the better!

That is great that she works so hard on her own. My girls are like that it does make life easier. They must have got that from their father because I am NOTHING like that!

I was looking around at some pictures to make myself a chart, like Shawn was talking about, and was thinking I might post some new before and after pictures here. I posted some last year on one of the other challenges, but I've found some better shots. If I get around to it later today, I'll post them.
I was thinking about doing that, but not sure if I am up to it! I am regretting not taking a "formal" start photo but I have pics from Christmas that show the flab so I can probably use one of them.

A friend is doing a Weight Loss Scrapbook and taking photos about every 10 pounds I think.

Hi everyone. Its been a bad week for me. Came down with a cold last Friday. Moved to my chest so I didn't run for 6 days. Did run 4 miles this morning and felt good. Bad news is that I gained 1.2 pounds since last Friday. Time to get back on it.
David
Those pounds will probably fall right off as soon as you are moving and get all the congestion gone. Glad you are feeling better.

Everyone have a great day and a wonderful weekend! Make great food choices and keep moving!:yay:

Howdy folks. I'm excited to see a few WIN entries trickling into my inbox this morning. Keep 'em comin'!!:goodvibes

Howdy folks. I'm excited to see a few WIN entries trickling into my inbox this morning. Keep 'em comin'!!:goodvibes

SHOOT! I have my first measurements upstairs and keep forgetting to bring it down with me. I will try to get that to you today, that way I can do it again in several weeks and see what happens!

I was down 2 lbs this morning from last Friday. Of course one of those was what I put on last week. But I'm still down. :yay: Aiming for 2 lbs by next Friday as I'd like to get in the 280s. :goodvibes

I really need to run to the Farmer's Market today and get some lettuce. I'm really missing my salads since I used up the last of my spring mix a few days ago for lunch. Tonight Zoe and I need to go find a birthday gift for the party she got invited to tomorrow from a girl in her class. I know the mom a little from helping out in the class otherwise I don't normally take her to just anyone's party. There would just be way too many parties.

Hello everyone!
I havent been gaining, but I havent been losing either.
But the one thing I have noticced- I have stopped drinking so much Diet Coke- and I used to drink a LOT of it- and started drinking more water. My weight doesnt fluctuate every day like it used to. Not the little bit it would change for me depening on the time of the month. But mine would fluctuate in a 4-5 pound range all month. I dont seem to be getting that rollercoaster ride now that I cut back the diet cokes.
The other thing I learned- my weight wont go down from diet alone. To lose the #'s I need to step it up in the gym too.
Bernie

:guilty::guilty::guilty:
So sorry Team Donald....it was a 2lb gain this morning :sad2:

I'm not placing blame anywhere but on my lack of sleep this week. I'm not sure what the issue is but I am having trouble falling asleep and then staying asleep. I moved my workout time a bit earlier in the day (I thought this was the problem) but no dice so far. Today is a rest day for me (exercise-wise) so let's see how the sleep goes tonight. Tomorrow it's back to the gym for a quick workout before I head to my day of Scrapbooking. They have a massage therapist there and I hope that maybe relaxing my body will relax my mind too!

I've been working out like a crazy woman this week and I can feel a change in the fit of my pants. I assume I am putting on a little muscle weight (work with me here!!). I didn't get to the 2 minutes on the plank but my dear trainer has given me another week. I did a 57 second plank, which he felt was great progress. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming :fish: And I do feel like a fish today with all this rain! I am grateful that it isn't snow.

Keep up the good work Donalds and I will do my best to make next week a minus instead of a plus!

Hi TEAM DONALD from WDW where the weather is gorgeous today! princess: Had a great time this morning at the Princess Expo where I got to meet mikamah, Rose&Mike (both), mommyof2pirate, jenanderson and jbm02. People do notice you when you are wearing your WISH shirt! Can't wait to meet corinna and worfiedoodles later.

It's pretty hard to believe that I am here. I would never had done this without all the wonderful folks from the BL challenges! :flower3:

Asparagus.... OVEN ROAST!! SUPER YUM.... much tastier (IMHO) than steaming. Wash... break off bottom (it should break naturally where it needs to).... pat dry. I put them on a jelly roll pan that has been sprayed with PAM and then I give the spears themselves a spritz with PAM. Into a 425 degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.... I like them a bit browned. SO delicious with just a dash of salt.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! LOTS and LOTS of good news at the doctor today!!! You must be feeling so relieved. Talk to you tomorrow.

Thanks for the recipe, I think the asparagus will be on the lunch menu tomorrow.

I'll search for the BL recipe thread.

Sleep, we'll chat about WDW later. We have time!!

Yes, I was relieved but I think DH was more relieved then me. He was scared.

So the QOTD is does YOUR mood affect your eating habits?

Oh God yes!!! Crappy day = crappy food. I'm a total stress eater!
Dreary weather makes me eat more too. Today I'm battling water in the basement (do you know how heavy water is?!??!, I was sweeping it out of the driveway to try and keep it away from the house) got a good workout, but man I just wanted to crawl up on the couch and eat under the covers instead.

If I'm having a good non fat-feeling day, then I tend to eat better stuff. More veggies, etc...

:flower3:

Tell everyone I said HEY!!!!
Have fun!! I want to see pics!!

Where do I get a WISH shirt? I need one for the 5K.

He made a slight adjustment to the right foot on the insert because while the pain has diminished it's now in a new spot.

DS9 had a Dr appt and we increased his ADD med a bit, hopefully it will help increase his focus but still keep him as his quirky self. He was funny, he was very vocal about not going up to much on the med because he's worried about the reduction of appetite. Poor kid only weighs 56 pounds. And this particular med makes you stutter a bit and he's worried about that too. He's such a riot!! The Dr was impressed though with his questions and suggestions.

I finally get my basement back which means I can run again! We had to replace the hot water heater so I've had workers in and out of the basement.

My DS 14 saw his Neurologist this week too, and his ADHD medication was moved up a notch also. He saw his biggest weight gain in the past 6 months than in his entire life - he gained 10 pounds, and 1 1/2 inches. So are you ready - he is now 5 ft 1 1/2 inches and weighs 85 pounds. He is skinny - but I hate to say it - his clothes hang really well on him. Just like a model. LOL Doesn't take after me that's for sure.

I have to weight in tomorrow. It was a crazy week, we were able to get away for a couple of days, it's school vacation week here. Then I was working earlier hours than usual, so I am unsure what the scale will reflect.

You SO don't suck. We all have good days and bad days.... starts and stops along this journey. We will see you back here when things lighten up in your schedule!

WOOOOO HOOOO on a great weigh-in!!!!! And nice job leaving the scooter behind.

:guilty::guilty::guilty:

Sleep is SUCH an important step in this process... not surprising that you had a gain during a week when you are not sleeping. Hopefully once the sleep situation gets back to normal, the weight will come off again.

Enjoy your scrapping day!

Thanks for the recipe, I think the asparagus will be on the lunch menu tomorrow.

I'll search for the BL recipe thread.

I didn't get the recipes up today. Sorry... maybe tomorrow.

Evening friends. It has snowed ALL DAY here! ICKY! I didn't even bother to try to snowblow yet.... I didn't feel like doing it twice, so hopefully I'll be able to through it tomorrow in one pass. I did get some scrapping done and watched some junk tv and played some games with DS. Overall a nice relaxing day. Stayed well on plan, but no exercise.

Question about hip pain for anyone who might feel qualified to answer....

I started having left hip pain early last week. It feels like mostly muscular pain, but in the hip joint area. It doesn't hurt when I run, but after sitting still (like driving or scrapbooking) it is really stiff and sore whenn I get up again. I iced it last night and I am icing it again tonight.... and I iced it while at school yesterday. I haven't resorted to any sort of pain pills yet... definitely not that bad... more annoying and disturbing than anything.

I don't have a bruise or any swelling and I don't remember any specific trauma to my hip. Any idea what I might be dealing with or how to take care of it?

Okay... I'm off for now. TTY all tomorrow.................P
