Hi,

We're back from the Expedition Everest Challenge - we had a great time! I diligently kept to my training schedule as well, on the AKL treadmill. So, my numbers for Sept 22-30 are:

miles: 26.22
hours: 4.67

No more races in my immediate future, so concentrating on my training for the WDW half-marathon.

Good morning all

I am caught up to here, thank you all for your inputs. We're well of 14,000 miles as of the end of September.

I apologize for being here less frequently, but the semester is running flat out and I'm holding on by my fingernails.

Best
Craig

Rich, your last week is totally amazing. 199 miles in a week, wow. Thanks for your presence, inputs, and motivation.

How far do young ladies run in XC races? I couldn't even guess.

I believe AmyBeth and Scott both ran the Applefest half marathon this weekend. I suspect they got great results as the weather was pretty darn ideal.

I did a half the half time trial today, 6.56 miles, to see if I could sustain a sub-2 half marathon pace. The result was highly positive, again, the weather was perfect, finishing in 56:44, so if I could do 2 of those back to back (and that wouldn't be possible today!), I'd finish the half in 1:53:30. Boy would I ever take that on January 10 in Orlando. Actually as long as the first 3 numbers of the Disney half are 1:59: I'll be thrilled.

Best

Craig

Craig they run two miles. The girls team won our conference and the boys came in third. DD finished 50th out of 200 runners she had a PB 15.13 and was so happy to make the top 50. It was a great meet but cold had two boy run 11.35 and 11.36 for two miles and not crack the top ten.We had a great team and my DD will be moving to the HS next year but DS will be starting CC with me in Aug.The coaching staff can't wait till next year already.

Sorry I haven't been posting, but I'm a bit confused with the miles, times,etc.

I average 3 crossfit days MWF 1.5 hours a day and 4 running days averaging about 20-25 miles a week.

I'm not sure how to post my workout times & days..but there they are.

Happy Sunday all, I'm caught up to this point.

Mooshu

The master spreadsheet is broken up by weeks and months. Right now I'm filling October and the first 2 weeks of the month, depending on what people post.

What I'd like to see from you is the week of October 1-7, the 8-14, 15-22, and 23-31 since October is a long month.

For each week I am looking for a total mileage from you, run, walk, bike, swim, the total distance you covered in your exercise. I'm also looking for total time in hours for run, walk, bike, swim, lift, yoga, whatever the exercise is.

I put these in the master sheet when people post their numbers.

And it has gotten a lot more quiet here with our team, and I see the same thing has happened in all the teams. We all started in February, and it has been a while, and a few high quality folks have slipped away, likely tired of having to document and report their miles and hours. Don't let that discourage you please, we still have a critical mass of people, and we're doing very well, approaching 15,000 miles, with about 2.5 months left in the year.

I hope this clears up what we'd like to see from you. Happy training.

Craig

My numbers for the week of October 6 - 12:

Time: 5 hours, 26 minutes

(All Running)

Great job team! :worship: :worship: :worship:

WELCOME Mooshu!! :wave2:

I'm starting to taper for my first half marathon next weekend. I'm really excited about it and hope the weather holds up as it's been very windy here lately.

I just ran in a 5K this weekend and made a new PR of a 9:04 pace and ran a full 2:46 under my previous best time. :cool1:

Here are my numbers for the week of Oct 6-12:

Running
17.2 miles
2:48 hours

Other (mostly biking)
51.6 miles
6 hours

-steve

Congratulations on that 28+ 5K there Rich. It is amazing what your body will give you when you train it to properly. You are justified in feeling pleased today.

I'll leave for tomorrow what you're sure to be thinking, just a few seconds per mile faster and I'm under 9 mpm and 28 minutes.

I have everyone's numbers up to here. We are over 15,100 miles right now.

Craig

Hi Bunnies, I'm sending over a new player. Please welcome TriMom, she is looking for a home and you guys have a great team here.

Visiting Panda:hippie:

Just popping in to say hi! Glad to be on a team! After almost a year of no training, needing to devote a lot of time to my family (it's a very long story and I might get into it later...) I have finally put myself first for a while and I am starting to train for the Princess 1/2 Marathon and the Country Music Marathon in April.

The good news is that I have not really lost my endurance, just my slow to start with speed.

Official training for the marathon begins Nov. 2, with a 3 week break in training for the 1/2.

Today's workout:
1/2 mile walk, 4 mile run, 1/2 mile walk took about 65 minutes???
20 minutes on some sort of cardio machine at the gym. I have no idea what it's called, but it reminded me of a cross between inline skating and walking in sand.

I will pay closer attention to the time tomorrow. I am trying not to notice my time at all because I will push myself faster than I can really go right now.

ETA: Ok, figured out the correct format - I'll get it right next time! :thumbsup2

Hi guys...

Wow...so sorry it's been SO LONG since I posted. Between getting sick the week before the Applefest Half Marathon then dealing with a minor family crisis last week with my girls...ugh....just been too busy to really post or keep track. I've gone back and put my numbers together Craig. So here they are. Again, apologiies! :headache: My miles have dropped a bit since I took an entire week off running after the Half Marathon on 10/4. My legs were completely shot from being sick/dehydrated during the hilly course. I'm back on track now and back to training for my next event in early December.

9/22 - 9/30
Miles = 94
Hours = 12.75

10/1 - 10/7
Miles = 59
Hours = 8.25

10/8 - 10/14

Miles = 54
Hours = 6

Welcome TriMom :). Great screen name! :wave:

Steve: Congrats on the PR!!!! :cheer2:

As for me and my Applefest Half...I was sick with a bad chest cold the entire week before the race. Never got out there to run the week prior but was able to bike and teach classes. Taking cold meds caused me to completely cramp up (calves, quads) by mile 6 or 7 of the race. Was on par for a solid PR when I had to stop and stretch several times. Scott and Lisa stayed right by my side, and despite the fact that they both could have run a faster race made sure I was ok and got me to the finish line. I did PR...but only by 20 seconds. Still...a PR on a challenging course like that is nothing to take lightly. But I seriously cost myself at least 3 to 5 minutes with the many stops during the second half. My legs were sore to the touch for many days after. I wasn't this sore even after running Goofy or my first full marathon. So it goes...running is ALWAYS an adventure!
