Welcome Tracy! Yay, I'm no longer the new kid in school!

This is a great group of people and I'm sure you'll feel at home here. Best of luck with your training. It's also good to see a fellow Wii Fit fan here!

-steve

Happy Friday everyone! I'm off to York to run the Maine Coast Half Marathon ~ and to earn double numbers for us!! :woohoo:

Have a great weekend!!

Hi Bunnies. I have another of those brain damaged Goofy challengers for you guys, please welcome Mooshu. I thought I should try to keep as many of you goofy challengers together as I could so we could keep an eye on ya.

Visiting Panda:hippie:

Oh, good gracious, now it's confirmed. I'm on the Goofy Challenge TEAM. Guess I'd better start preparing for 2010!:lmao:

Good to see Mooshu is coming...with great tips for me on the Nike Women's Marathon next month!

Hey everyone!

I know we are soooo far behind in posting but going to catch us up now.

9/1 - 9/7
Me
Miles 14.65
Hours 1.75
Patrick
Miles 18.0
Hours 1.5

9/8 - 9/14
Both of us had same numbers
Miles 20.24
Hours 1.5

Not stellar but you'll be glad to know we've already got more than that this week and have a ride tomorrow and a 5K Sunday.

Patrick just lost his job today so I figure his numbers should go up next week just due to the spare time he'll have. (Work being out sourced to Mexico and everyone will be gone by end of month and no severance packages.) :headache:

My numbers will likely go up just for stress management!:scared:

And where are my manners - Welcome to our new team members!!

Hello Team! I am new to posting on the WISH boards, usually I just lurk and throw my two cents in every now and then. I signed up to run the Goofy last week, so I need the extra motivation to run and be held accountable for my training:rolleyes1

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area - my home park is Disneyland...I'm a slow runner, but I'm consistent. My next run will be the Nike Womens 1/2 marathon in October. Thanks for letting me part of the Rabbits!

First of all, welcome to our new team members!

I've been waiting to post my numbers until this week was over, so that I could prove that I'm not slacking off any more! :lmao:

I'm one week into my half-marathon training. This week in addition to my runs, I did a race today (counts double), and managed to do some family cycling (adds up the miles). So, I'm back with a vengeance!

Sept 1-7 :ssst:
miles 2.6
hours 0.5

Sept 8-14 :sad2:
miles 2.6
hours 0.5

Sept 15-21 :thumbsup2
miles 22.8
hours 4.5

We're off to the Expedition Everest Challenge next weekend, so I'll have some more double miles for next weekend. Have fun everyone! :goodvibes

Hi everyone -

After falling my pool in Late June, I was told to stop all exercise to reduce my chances of getting the neck fusion.

Well, I got the all clear Friday at my three month re-check and the inflamation is finally gone in my neck. :cool1:

Can I rejoin the group??

Hi Team!

First a big Hello and Welcome  to Tracy and Mooshu!

A :cheer2: for Tracy and her Maine marathon! GOOD LUCK!

A big  to our very own Swim-Mom for coming back from injury. Welcome back!! :goodvibes

And some PIXIE DUST :wizard: to Patrick and Liz on the job hunt. So sorry to hear the news :(.

:worship: :worship: :worship: MEGA thanks to our team members who are consistently showing big numbers: Scotty  ; Craig, Steve, Rich and Howard. You guys ROCK!!!

And any other team members I forgot...:goodvibes ....Keep up the great efforts.

My Numbers week ending 9/21 include Bike and Run; hours include the aforementioned plus pilates and yoga:

Miles: 85 on the dot!
Hours: 12 on the dot!

Have a great week everyone. I'm in mini taper after my second 13 mile weekend LR in a row as preparation for the Applefest Half Marathon coming up in two weeks. I'm feeling good about my race readiness this time around. No plans to PR or break any land speed records as the hills will surely make sure neither of those things happen. BUT...I'm hoping to enjoy the scenery and the great company.

Bonsoir Tout le Monde

Martha and I returned from Berumda this afternoon (we did try to stay, including thinking about "accidentally" losing our passports, but we came back, so obviously we're not too bright), so I've put in our weekly numbers up to September 21, poor though they are. For we east-coasters, Bermuda is 105 minutes of flying time, and complete heaven. I think we're going to do this a lot more in the coming months and years. We left Friday morning a bit after 8 and had lunch in Bermuda, can't beat that pirate: .

I have everyone's number up to this point. We're just over 13,500 miles, but it looks like that means #2 till the end of the year. Donald's Dashers just seem to strong for us.

Amy

You are puting in way bigger number than I am, so don't be modest. You are the man. Okay, you're actually a beautiful and delightful woman, but still "the man." Does your comment mean Scott will be at Applefest as well? You 2 are a GREAT TEAM, a pleasure to see together. Go get 'em, and attack that course.

Swim-Mom

You're of course welcome to return to the group. Do start easy and build slowly. Coming back too hard too soon can get you back on the D.L.

Welcome back Carol. The same advice goes for you. Be patient as you build strength.

Liz

It's good to hear from you and Patrick, and I'm very sorry about Patrick's bad news. I wish you both the best in the coming weeks.

Tracy

The only reason I signed up for Goofy this year is I'm best at the half marathon distance and below, but I like the full marathon course best. This means I will pound the half, and cruise the full. If that motivates you to sign up, so be it.

Steve

So was the scenery of the Rose Bowl 10K wonderful? Did you run up Arroyo Seco? And the other stuff too? One day, I swear, I'll be at the Rose Parade and see it all in person.

Mooshu

Welcome to the gang. A healthy gang at that. I need from you your miles and time by week, but with you coming on now the "week" in September 22 through 31. If you could report any way you like, but aggregate it into 1 number of miles and time, it will help me. I'm way overscheduled this fall, thus the weekend away for sanity, so simple helps me. The miles are everying; running, walking, biking swimming, anything. The time is as well, at the time you spend training.

My miles for the week of September 15 to 21:

36.65 miles*
4.25 hours

*Includes double miles for the Philadelphia Distance Run today which I PR'ed beating my old Half Marathon record of 1:59:37 by 9 minutes, 25 seconds! My new PR is 1:50:08. See the Phila Marathon or Philadelphia Distance Run thread for more details.

Swim-Mom: You never left, welcome back!

Have a great week!

Howard

I'm back!

I'm sorry I haven't posted miles/hours in awhile. Summer was busy for me and I just couldn't seem to get in a routine. I'm back on board now ready to start training for the half in Jan. The girls are back in school and I have more time for myself. I feel good about what I did last week and hope to keep increasing the miles and minutes each week. My hours for last week are from walking and pilates.

hours: 3.7
miles : 6.0

Not much compared to some on our team but as ryley said, every mile counts.

Kathy

 I just checked out the team spreadsheet and noticed that it has been cleaned up since I last posted in August. I'm no longer on the Rabbit's team.

Should I request with Dave to be placed on a team again? :sad1:

Kathy

Quick question: we're doing Everest this weekend, too. I know we can count the entire time but how about the miles? We'll go thru the 5K course twice plus the obstacle course.

I'm so sorry to hear about Patrick's job loss. Stay positive and things will turn out fine.

Welcome Mooshu! It's good to see another N. CA runner on the team. I hope we can meet up at a Bay Area event in the near future.

Welcome back Swim-mom & Kathy!

The scenery at the Rose Bowl was pretty nice. I think I heard it talked about so much that I experienced some "anticippointment" when I got there. It was a neat feeling arriving at dawn and seeing the Rose Bowl for the very first first time. The lights were on and the sign lit up. The course itself just basically ran around the block twice circling the golf course. It wasn't too hilly. I ran it at a 9:29 pace and took a full minute off my previous 10K PR so that was really exciting.

Tracy, how was the Maine Coast Half-Marathon? I hope you had a great time.

I hope all the Everest runners have a blast. I can't wait to read the reports.

Sorry I fell a little behind with reporting. It's been slow with all the travel but I'm excited to get back on track. Here are my numbers:

Sept 12-14
Running
12.42 miles
1:56 hours

Sept 15-21
Running
11.4 miles
2:12 hours

Biking
23 miles
1:30 hours

Yoga
1 hour

Walking
3 miles
1 hour

Happy weekend everyone! I'm here almost a week late with my stats for the week ending 9/21!

Total miles: 45.8 (includes double miles in the Maine Coast Half)
Total time: 8 hours 29 minutes (I doubled the time for the race too, should I have? If not, the time would be 6 hours 22 minutes.

The race was fantastic, and I met another WISHer! She was wearing a shirt so she was easy to spot and I introduced myself. So cool to meet someone else from these boards in person!!:cutie:

I'll post again tomorrow with my stats for this week, after my 20 mile run tomorrow morning...good night!
