A friend of ours is Kandy Graham. She married into the last name, though. I think I would have kept my maiden name.

I went to junior high with a Honey Graham! Really. Her sister's name was Clover.

There was also a girl named Treasure in my class, and she really thought she was one!

Another one - Rhys. I like the name Reese/Reece but "Rhys" just looks weird. Is that even how you pronounce it? The name is everywhere.

More or less, it does sound like 'Reese.' Being Welsh the Rh does sound a little bit different. I'm okay with Rhys because it is a correct spelling from Welsh origin. It is not a made up spelling.

This year I have the following children in my class:
Hailei, Kailey, Kiley, Ben, Ben, Marisa, Marissa, Brian and Ryan...

I go with "Hey, You!"quite a bit!

My friend's birth certificate said Female on it, even though her mom supposedly had her name picked out already. Her claim is that nobody ever came to ask her what name to put down on the birth certificate. I think eventually she got her name changed.

My daughter is a "Taylor" and she has complained about the number of Taylors at her school. What can I say? There weren't many girls named Taylor 13 years ago...

My daughter is also Taylor. She is 5. It is actually not too common around here anymore. There is only my daughter and one boy with the name in our school, K-8.

My middle son is Riley. When we named him it was very uncommon and even more uncommon for it to be anything other then a boys name. Now, there are quite a few girls in school named Riley. He is still the only boy. It drives him crazy when people spell it wrong (Reilly).

Yes I do have a Tyler, my DH and I joke if we had him first we wouldn't have another. 6 times in an ER for his first 6 years yikes!! He's all boy.
I have a Meg too. But we did spell it with an H, Meghan and my middle name has an extra e too, Anne my mom did that to me. My mom has a patient named Sh--head. pronounced sha-t-ed Can you Believe that one??

Anne is our family middle name, at least one girl has it for as far back as I cant find. Its the English spelling of it.

They are all darling girls. The one name I would never use because every single student I have ever known has been difficult is... Austin.

I went to college with a girl who said her father named her after his favorite drink, even spelled it the same way: Daquiri? No, sillyhead, DACRI.

I have a coworker whose two sons are named Dalton and Colton.

They are maybe 10 and 12?

Dalton is not uncommon around here, but I hadn't heard Colton before he named his son that.
