I'm looking into possibly planning another trip for Spring Break (March 09) what exactly is the "Teacher Discount"? I teach and I know 09 rates probably aren't out...but just curious what everyone is paying and what the discount is.

I originally called the Swan for August but didn't go with them due to no ME and no dining plan....but if we go in August....and again in March...maybe we can do without some of that stuff.

Thanks!

DW & I have gotten rooms for $149 in the summer and $179 this past Jan with the teacher rate.

I got a balconey theme park view room with the teacher discount last October for $169 per night. It was really nice and very inexpensive.

I have to turn in my ID at the end of the year. What is acceptable as far as forms of ID for the teacher rate?

We got the teacher rate for August but we switched to AKL so not going to take advantage of it. We got $179 per night, which doesnt seem like a GREAT rate considering others are getting $149 there.

They said all you need is some sort of id, or a paystub. I asked about it being summer and she told me to just bring my last paystub.

true...we want to be in that resort area...we are DVC members but paying for this trip...
