What's with the capital "T"s?

I have 2 male cats - brothers from the same litter and one is the alpha. I think that's pretty common. Maybe they're all just trying to figure out their place. A new cat could take over.

Cats will do this when there are new cats introduced, it's normal really. And ya, what's with the capital T's, it's very distracting and hard to read your post.

possibly a broken key on the keyboard? sheesh....

Is using a old laptop so I have no puncution or the letter t or y or backspace. Please forgive my spelling

read sigs once in awile sorry if ou canT handle The facT my keyboard is broken and my oTher lapTop is geTTing fixed sorry

I don't think you have anything to worry about. The cats will work out their own pecking order. And I don't think you could teach a cat how to be more assertive anyway :)

Some people have signatures turned off (including me). :)

Your cats are fine...don't worry about it.

How come your sig isn't doing the capital t thing?...oh and there's a y in the word "my" and "sorry" so obviously it's working or does it only not work in the word you? And you used a t and y in explaining why you can't use a t or y.

I don't think so but if you figure out a way, tell me so I can teach the bigger dog in the house to have one as well.

geez. why is everyone attacking her.

some browsers have a spell correct that will finish words like "sorry." or maybe she wrote her signature in before she sent her other computer off to be fixed.

remind me never to have computer issues on the dis. geez.

Oh, lord, people...the thread is about a cat...It's not an invitation to be catty and snarky. Some folks just can't resist the urge to tear a person down at every opportunity...:sad2:

OP, some cats just seem to be born leaders. With some pets, there is a "pecking order" that comes along with how long the pet has been around. With cats, it seems that sometimes there's no rhyme or reason. Some cats just seem to be born to come in and stir things up. I have a cat like that. As soon as she came along, she was the queen. Didn't matter that the other 2 had been here longer...LOL

Yup, at home sigs are turned off, sorry I couldn't see that. :) It was distracting but not that big a deal. :)

Uhhh seriously?? I wasn't attacking, nor was I being "catty or snarky", I just asked a question about her T's....and before I asked I told her not to worry about this, it's a normal cat behavior. I addressed her issue/question and then asked about her T's.....why is that attacking or being catty or snarky?

OP, to perhaps help rest your mind, my cats are sisters and they still do this to each other! LOL I really wouldn't stress about it, let them work out their new "pecking" order and things will calm down. :)

I think you're safe, it was probably my post being snarky/catty. I was just annoyed with her post about why she was using the T's, It came off as rather snarky and I answered in kind. Childish I know but my store of don't tell me one thing while your post is in contridiction is about run out this morning.....or it could just be that I'm not a cat person.

OP might have written that on her laptop that's being fixed, and she just copy/pasted it from her sig.

So anyway, it's always hard to see animals being animals with each other. But I'm not sure you *could* teach them to be a certain way with each other.

The cat that we had (who ran away after being dreadfully sick all over her area) was the sweetest little thing ever. We were her FOURTH owners. Why? Because everyone else had other animals, and the other animals beat up on her relentlessly. Each other owner had to keep her in her cage ALL day long, to protect her from the other cats and even dogs. She just put out something, a pheremone I assume, that said "I am weak and offensive to you, please hurt me".

The previous owners, especially the last ones, were experienced, long-time, animal owners. They knew what they were doing and cared tremendously (the guy that we got her from has spent the last 6 months caring for and paying for his dog's chemo, just as an example), but they couldn't get their animals to stop them from hurting Freda.

So I'm not sure there's a way around this, and I'd just let them work it out.
