Tea Party at Grand Floridian questions

Hi ladies I have some questions!!

Ok the day before my wedding, which is a Sunday, I want to have a bridal tea party for all the ladies. I am only going to have like 10 girls there so I am not going to have anything elaborate. Basically I want to make a reservation at the Gardenview room for the 10 girls. (like figment-Vanessa did). Does this work the same as making ADR's? When can I make this reservation?

Also, if I use Disney Floral could I get favors or can I bring my own?

For parties of 14 or less, you can just call the regular Disney Dining number (1-407-WDW-DINE). You don't have to use the Disney Florist for favors - I believe FigmentFan brought her own, but I'm sure she'll be along shortly to help out!

The tea room is open 2-6pm. As for making ADRs, your date falls in that new limbo period created by the temporary switch to 90-day ADRs. You, me, and everyone else who wants to make an ADR for any time between Jan. 26, 2009 and April 29, 2009 will have to wait until Oct. 25 to book. And since the phone lines will no doubt be jammed that day, it could be a few days after that...

That's right I forgot about that stupid temporary 90 day thing. Ughh. I only have one day to have that booked (February 1st.) hopefully it won't be booked up. I just realized that I am getting married very close to your anniversary! Weren't you February 4th and I am February 2nd.

I don't know if you'll be able to do favours - I know you can't do speeches, games or gift opening in the tea room...

If you get gifts, they'll set up a quiet area in the lobby for you to open them.

Might I suggest eating MANY raspberry tarts when you're there? They are very wonderful and as I sit at home reading about someone else going to GF tea, all I can think of is those darn tarts.

FYI, I had 14 people when I called to schedule mine, and they would not take the reservation through regular dining, although that might be because I had 14 not 10. I'm not sure where the cut off is to be able to make the ressies with them. I don't know if you've already done your reservations with them or not, but here's the number to make the ressies for the larger party right through them: 407-824-2978. Also, if you're going to be at Disney before your wedding, the place that actually answers that number is right outside 1900 Park Fare! I found that out as I was sitting in the GF lobby calling to make my ressies. Silly, eh?

The people who make the reservations for you won't make you choose a specific menu for the tea unless your party hits 15 people, although they told me I could do it if I wanted since I was just 1 under the minimum.
