I am planning a daytrip to Tokyo Disneyland in August with my 6 month old baby and would really like to hear from others that have visited this park with a baby. It is a little crazy, I know, but we won't be in this part of the world often and I have grown up loving DL! All my Japanese friends are worried that it will be very hot so tips for good places to cool down with a young one would especially be appreciated.

I've never visited with a baby, but I think you will be okay.

Japanese people, who make up the overwhelming majority of visitors to the parks, are incredibly courteous and polite so I don't think you'll ever struggle with pushing your stroller or finding a spot in the shade to sit down.

I would try to avoid going on the weekend to minimise the chance of crowds. I can't really suggest any particularly great tips for staying cool, but I'm pretty sure all "indoor" stores, restaurants, etc are air conditioned.

The gentleman who runs the Honorable Rat blog (http://www.honorablerat.com/) seems to have small children, so it may be worthwhile contacting him and asking for tips. You may even inspire him to do a blog post about visiting Tokyo Disney with children.
