Hi........definite(Canadian)newbie here.

21 days and counting to WDW. We have reservations at the La quinta Lakeside Inn for a 1 week stay and we are not sure of how to get back and forth to WDW. Laquinta has shuttles but they only run on specific times and sometime do not get to the parks until after opening. Based on my planning for the trip, everyone recommends getting to the parks about 30 min prior to opening..............Also they may not run late enought to see come of the closing attractions like Fantasmic or Illuminations!!If we like to use the shuttle some of the time, about how much is a cab ride from Laquinta (the one on US192) say to MK or to AK or to MGM orEpcot??...........Or should we save the hassel and rent a car?

any info would help.

thx

I would say rent a car. That way you can go on your own schedule rather than having to rush out the parks to get to the shuttles or miss fireworks or other shows. Plus, it will give you a way to get to and from the airport. You will be able to move around with a lot less stress and hassle if you have your own car. It will cost you $7 a day to park at each of the theme parks. It is free at DTD and the waterparks.

Cab fare will run you minumum $20 each way plus tip, rent a car.

You only pay once per day for parking. If you go to a second park just show your parking receipt. If you think you may be making a second trip in less than a year you might buy at least one AP, parking is included.
