i'm going to disney on jan 11 - jan 18 and i need some taxi companies that can get me to sea world and universal for a reasonable price . i checked mears and i was looking at about a total of $ 120 for round trip fares from disney - sea world / disney - universal. im staying in the pop century resort and i really need help with this . renting a car is out of the question . and does anybody know taxi companies that have set prices to and from these places cause mears says that the fare is depending on what route and traffic the driver takes . and i'm looking to do sw/us on the weekend . is that a factor ? sorry if all the info is all crazy . x-mas and planning and reservations , budget don't go together . i can't handel this . help me please ....

Renting a car is the best solution. Unless you don't have a license, are under 25 or have some other impediment you should re-consider.

The towncar companies will give you a flat fare. Should be around $60-$75 + TIP R/T. Not sure if you're $120 figure is for one R/T or for 2.

If you're on a budget you can take a Lynx (public) bus from the TTC to SW for next to nothing.

At one point Mears ran a shuttle from the TTC to US, not sure they still do--it was $30 per person r/t give or take.

Unfortunately the reality is that those destinations are a bit of a drive from WDW. Sea World is closer, but even that will probably cost in the $30-35 range each way, plus tip.

How many people in your group? The Mears shuttle is $14 per person for a round trip transfer. I'm not sure what a cab would be but I've heard it's cheaper if you get the cab at DD. Lynx is another option.

Haven't done the WDW to Universal thing, yet. In July '04 I used Sunray Transportation to go from PO-FQ to SeaWorld and to Discovery Cove. Was $60 R/T (+gratuity) each time. We were doing early morning animal programs, so everything else was out of the question. I've always been pleased with Sunray. I also considered using the lynx bus for this past trip to hit SeaWorld for the day, it seems very easy. But I wasn't really all that excited about going plus I ride the bus enough at home. Someone once mentioned to me to take a taxi from Downtown Disney, but not sure that's any better.

Good Luck!
