We usually take ******** from the airport to the swan---However I was wondering how much cheaper it would be to just get a cab instead. It will just be me and my 8 yo dd --so I guess convenience should be considered too. How much is a cab ride from mco to the swan? Is it worth the difference to take ********--- WHat would you do? THanks!-----7days to go!!!!!

A cab fare will run you at about $ 48.00 each way. Limo services like FL Tours, the site sponsor, will run you cheaper and far more comfortable.

I paid $56.00 plus tip for a metered cab from the dolphin to MCO in April of 03.

Check out a few of other the town car companies for competative pricing. I personally won't use your ride again. FL ***** and Tiffany have been super@! FL ***** is a sponsor here and IIRC there is a discount coupon on the website.

With a cab you won't get the grocery stop - a convenience I love when traveling with my girls 7 and 9. Picking up breakfast, juice and soda and snacks, even lunch fixings will likely save money and time.

The other thing to consider is when travelling alone with your child (as I always do), having the limo driver meet you and help with luggage can be invaluable. I needed the extra hands so I could concentrate on keeping an eye on my son.

We just used Your ride at the end of November and will use them again. Great experience.

Try not to use metered cabs from airport to Disney.

For a trip that long, and between two well known points (unlike someone's home address), you should be able to get an agreed upon fare before boarding, you actually can book town cars right at the airport without advance reservations (you do have to look and shop).

Also, if you get stopped in a traffic jam, the meter keeps on ticking.

Going to the airport, if you know that the departure roadways and lanes are going to be packed and the arrival areas not, consider telling the driver to drop you off in the arrival area.
