Taxi/Uber at MCO

We will fly into mco the night before our next cruise and stay at a hotel near the airport. How hard is it to get a taxi/Uber for 5 people and luggage after landing and about how much is the cost? The hotels have complimentary shuttle pick up, but we didn’t have a great experience with the hotel shuttle on our last cruise and may try to avoid it next time. Just wondered how taxi experience/cost were?
I’m also thinking about just renting a car.

It isn't hard at all to get a taxi or Uber for 5 people with luggage. The cost will vary depending on what hotel near the airport you choose. Figure about $20 to $30 for Uber and $25 - $40 for a taxi.
