Taxi to Airport

Don't want to get up at 8:30am to catch my flight at 12:30, So I'm thinking of going by taxi. Leaving from BWV. does anyone know how much it would cost??. TIA

About $60. It'll only save you about 30 minutes or so.

Don't cut yourself short. The security lines have been very long. I experience a 35 minute wait 3 weeks ago. My husband flew home a different day than me and he was in line 30 minutes.


If you miss your flight it could be days before the get you on the next flight.

While sitting at my gate a family of 3 walked up only to be told their flight was just leaving. They told the gate agent they got stuck at security because of the long lines. The gate agent said it would be 2 days before they could find room on another flight. Talk about being mad I thought the Dad was going to go postal.

For a 12:30 flight, you will want to be at MCO by 10:30 or so, certainly no later than 11, and even that is cutting it way too close.
So, DME would pick you up around 9:30 or so, give or take 15 mins either way. If you take a cab, or car service, you would need to leave your resort by 10-10:15. That gives you an addlt 45 mins, tops vs taking DME. Not sure I would do that.
Besides, if you are planning on using RAC for your checked bags, and your boarding passes, you need to be there, and done with your checkin, no later than 9:30am.

8:30 isn't exactly early to be getting up. I'd just save the money and use DME.

It is about 70$ but consider safety and comfort.
Taxi is not the same and we had to ride in one smelling like cigarets and had to open window even to breath and got almost sick.

Security Lines stink at MCO. They can move at a snails pace. Of course there are worse places to miss a flight.
