Taxi? Going between WDW and Universal

For our next trip, I want to do 5 nights at the Boardwalk and 2 nights at Portofino bay. Any suggestions on how to coordinate this? When we went last year we used Tiffany Towncar roundtrip from MCO, staying on property, and not going anywhere else.
Should we rent a car? Should we use Tiffany again for airport transfers, and then use a taxi to switch between resorts? Should we do Universal at the beginning of the trip, end, or in between?

No suggestions here--I was wondering the same thing myself!!

We will be staying 2 nights at Hard Rock then the remainder of our trip at Coronado Springs. We also plan on a towncar to and from airport. It seems the fare for a towncar between Universal and Disney resorts runs around $27 - $35. Of course, you have alot more flexibility if you just take a cab, and, no particular time to meet anyone. I was just curious what the cost might be for a taxi between Univ. and Disney.

Does anyone know the approximate cost of a taxi?
