taxi from POR

This fall, we are staying at POR and have one breakfast ADR for Boma at 8:45. I've decided we should take a taxi.

This is our first stay at POR so I'm not familiar where everything is located and walking distance/time from the room. We are hoping to be in Magnolia Terrace.

How and where do we get a taxi? What time should we either leave our room or be at the taxi pick up place in order to arrive at AKL by 8:30 - 8:40?

What is the approximate cost of the taxi and how much do you usually tip the driver?

I will plan to have cash on hand, but if you don't have cash, do they accept credit cards?

We called a taxi and it was at the main building within 5 minutes. I think they only pick up at the main building. I can't help with Boma but to AK it was $18. To Boma will probably be around the same price as it's not too far from AK.

Thanks! It's a little more expensive than I thought, but will be well worth it that morning.
