Taxi from BC or Dolphin to Epcot - how long/how much?

Has anyone taken a taxi from either the Dolphin or Beach Club to Epcot?

We have a Segway tour early Saturday morning at Epcot - we're staying at Beach Club, but will be walking over to Dolphin for breakfast that morning.

I was wondering how much time I should allow for a taxi to arrive once I call for one? If it's 10-15 minutes, not a problem, if it's a longer than that, I need to know so I can call in time to get us to Epcot in time.

Yes, I know we can walk through Int'l Gateway, or take boats, but we don't want to walk all the way to the front of Epcot from BC on our first morning just before our Segway tour - we want to be nice and rested and alert, not tired from walking almost a mile before we start our tour on our first day at WDW.

So how long would it take for a taxi to arrive to either Dolphin or BC, and I assume it will only take 5-10 mins to actually get to the Epcot front gates?

There will most likely BE taxis at each resort at all times.

You do not have to call for a taxi from any Disney resort. Taxis are normally waiting for fares at all WDW resorts. All you have to do is go up to the Cast Member working the outside podium and tell him/her that you need a taxi. They will get one for you right away. If there is not one waiting they will radio for one immediately. Very little to no waiting time.

There's no need to take a taxi to the front of Epcot for your Segway tour. You can get in Epcot at International Gateway for your tour - we did this last year.

Doesn't the Segway tour take place in the back (World Showcase near International Gateway entrance)? Or does e eryone have to meet up front?

The tour meets at Guest Services at the front of Epcot (last time I was there, it was on the Left side before Spaceship Earth).

Glad to find out that there are usually taxi's waiting - I would expect that at a large hotel in the city, but wasn't sure about Disney.
