I don't know if this belongs here, but since I'm staying at BCV figured I'd ask on this board. Does anyone know how much a taxi costs to go from BCV to Richard Petty driving experience?

Wow!

That would be expensive.

Can you consider renting a car for a day to do this??

Also, just always check to make sure the Driving Experience is going the day you want to do it.

I don't know if you can make reservations but I would do that because we went one day around 3pm and it was too late.

Good Luck, it looks like fun!

I took a cab from BWV to Grand Floridian for 6 dollars. So it must be right around there.

You don't have to take a cab unless you wish. You can certanly drive a car (right into the racetrack actually - there is someone posted there on the day when the program is running) or go to the Ticket and Transportation Center and let them know you are going to the Petty Experience and they will take you there.

Also, I would highly recommend making a "reservation" to do this. The ride along portion is first come first served, but if you wish to actually do one of the experiences where you drive, it will take a reservation (pre-paid - but you can change the dates if needed).

Hubby loved this. He got to drive in April when we went. A friend of ours went along for the ride-along and liked it as well but said he would rather drive next time!

I only know about he Driving Experience in Daytona and thought that is the one you are talking about.

If there is another one at Disney, I apologize.

This is why I thought the taxi would cost lots of $$$$$$.

There is a special track that is basically in the parking lot of the MAgic Kingdom! Very cool and a great thing for Dad's that might get a little park burn out at times! (or moms! lol)

We have the experience here in Atlanta too from time to time at the racetrack, so there is obviously a sort of "traveling" one that goes to all the major racetracks. Hubby would love to do some of the other racetracks as well.

Is the one at Daytona permenant? (i.e. - there year round?)

We did this from BWV in Jan '04 with no charge. Following instructions given to us in Dec '03, we asked the BWV Guest Services desk to arrange transportation from resort to Richard Petty in the morning. After our racing experience the track's van brought us to central transportation to catch a Disney bus back to the resort.

This is what I thought. You can cab it to Disney golf for free when staying onsite, why not Richard Petty?

I think it is...

Actually, Kyle Petty is the one to take you around the track at Daytona. It was about $130.00 for the experience. Looked fun but call ahead to make sure it is going.
