Taxi and Airport Questions??

Flying into and out of SNA next week and staying at GCH. My first question is will a taxi be big enough for three adults and a child (plus car sear) plus luggage and a stroller? Secondly, will concierge call a taxi for us to return to the airport or do we need to make the arrangements? And third, our flight out is at 9:30am on Thursday; what time do we need to leave in order to make our flight? Thank you!!

fHow funny that you just posted this! I just had basically the same questions! I just got off the phone with someone at the GCH and we were talking about the difference in the rates for the bus that brings you to the GCH ($18pp) vs a cab ($45) one way. Seems cheaper to take the cab. He was also saying that there is always two or three cabs that hang out at GCH all the time so there is never any reason to call a cab, just go out front and there they are. Hope this answers a question or two?!?!

I have seen van Taxi's at the airport, should accomodate your group easily.

I can't attest to cab costs/space since we used the shuttle as it was half the price of a taxi but the airport is very small. We had an 8:50 am flight out and we caught the earliest shuttle to be safe (5:35). It's a very short drive, maybe 30 minutes with medium traffic, less without.

It is recommended to arrive two hours before domestic flights but we found even that was generous. It's mostly due to the security and if you get stopped, I guess. Security was small at the airport but it moved fast enough. We had time to sit and order a table service meal at the restaurant in the airport and it was delicious.

In the mornings we have always seen cabs out there waiting. If there aren't any van cabs I'm sure they can call and get one for you. I would leave at 7am just to be safe. The drive is about half an hour in good traffic.
