Tax refunds

My DD hit my account this AM. Was scheduled for tomorrow.

2 days now of no bar~ and still no DD date. So very frustrating ! There shouldn't be a problem w our return since we have received our state refund. Ugh

has anyone else noticed that the where's my refund thing looks different now? it used to have the colored status bar at top but now just a message that it's being processed...

It's going for college but I'd like to have it to know that a good chunk of college is paid for next year!

I just don't get it. I am in the military and this is our first year we had college credits because DS takes college classes instead of high school classes. Otherwise there isn't anything that makes our taxes stand out. I had really hoped to have them back to pay off DW's SUV and our credit card. It's a little troubling watching everyone else get theirs back and ours still says processing and that we should have our return within 21 days.

It took three days after we filed to show when our direct deposit was scheduled, should arrive one week after we filed. Really fast turnaround for us.

We usually have to pay something in and every year we tried some small new change to break even. Finally worked with both of us changing the W4 to reflect no defendants, charge at the single/higher rate and take out additional money every week from both our paychecks. It is really hard to hit the sweet spot of not owing anything and not getting a huge return.

But I'd much rather have a return, I dread taxes every year because you just never know how the changes you did that year are going to affect you tax-wise.

This was my first year with the college credits my daughter is a freshman other than that it was a boring return. Well on the brightside( if there is one) you are almost at the 21 day mark so you can call and find out what the issue is.

Hah...I've got them beat. I'm at 26 days. Though the first ten of those were waiting for the education credits. Now I'm waiting because it looks like turbo tax filed a form that wasn't necessary. There isn't even a date as to when that will be looked at, though I've heard rumors of "early March." At least I don't have the refund to spend on junk when it is supposed to be funding our Disney vacation this summer.

I had the accountant do our taxes on Feb 23rd, and today the IRS site is showing "approved" and we'll have our deposit on 3/5. So, that is 10 days total.

We were expecting to pay this year & I was quite surprised that we'll be getting a huge refund. It's paying off our upcoming WDW trip (of course, lol), our Spring Break trip later this month, new tires, and paying off some bills.

I'm still with those in limbo. Accepted Feb. 18th and nothing, I had an educational credit. It has been over a month since I filed, this is just crazy. I saw somewhere that there was a problem those that filed from Feb. 1 - 8. Anybody know anything about that?

I filed Feb 1, accepted on 14th with educational credits.. still in limbo. I'll call on the 6th if I dont have a DD by then.. that's my "21" days. ughhhhh

Our Accountant either filed last week on Thursday or this week Monday. I checked the other day (like Maybe Wednesday) and it said it was received. I just tried checking and the system is down. We had a simple tax return, so hoping to get it soon, so we can at least book a room at WDW for our anticipated dates.

Frustrated here as well, we e-filed ours at the end of Jan but had to wait because of educational credits, they accepted on Feb 14 and we're still waiting. At 21 days I will be calling, although I doubt that helps.
