Tax refunds

efiled on 2/24 - accepted within minutes, and although I haven't been rabidly checking WMR, i looked yesterday and it says DD scheduled for 3/4:woohoo:
so 8 days from acceptance to DD:cheer2:

Well we just filed ours yesterday so I still have a long wait probably! But here's hoping it won't take too long.

I sure wish my wait would be over. First time ever I paid someone to do my taxes and it has been nothing but a headache. I'm sure it is not their fault but really it's been 33 days since I filed and nothing. I really would like to see the money!

Have you checked with your CPA? Seems a bit odd.

Well as of yesterday mine has been accepted now just waiting for it to process and give me a DD date!

Not yet, It is saying that it will be deposited 21 days after being accepted, 21 days is not until the 11th. I had an educational credit and I think that is the problem. I am not alone in this limbo.

it will be 21 days for us on Friday, still nothing, we also had an education credit. a few days ago it said accepted and would be deposited in 21 days now its just saying accepted and dates/days

No your not alone in the limbo... have you tried to order your tax transcripts? there is a rumor on the net that if you CAN order them your close to a DD date. I ordered mine last week (still didn't get the in the mail) but then again I still do not have a DD date my 21 days is up today... :crazy2: I also have the Educational Credit http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Order-a-Transcript

No transcript available for me. I really getting worried. I don't have to have the money right now but is is a sizable chuck of change.

Finally signed and paid for my taxes and the website says accepted and should expect return in 21 days. I dropped off all of our paperwork at the tax office a month ago but I was told they couldn't submit until early March due to energy star window credit we were applying for, frustrating because we are getting a big chunk of change! Sorry to report that I am not doing anything fun with it, we are putting on a new roof in the spring and I might use a little for my reservation for Disney in January 2014!!!!:cool1:

That is us too. We don't need it right now but I sure would like that money in my account gaining interest, I shouldn't say that we don't need it, just that we're not in dire straights like a lot of people waiting. This is the longest it has ever taken for us, really ticks me off.

We had our fastest refund yet this year. E-filed, was accepted within a few minutes, and the money was in our account 6 days later, :thumbsup2

TurboTax said I had to mail in my returns because I had an energy credit for a new furnace. Mailed it over 3 weeks ago and so far the IRS has no record of our return but says it could take 4 weeks. I am so MAD that we couldn't efile this year and that TurboTax didn't tell me that until after I paid them.

Mine is 21 days today and no refund or dd date. We had education credits and rental income. I'm glad to see I'm not alone. If there were going to be extra delays you think they would have gotten that out in the media and not have people worrying that there were errors on their returns.

I called the IRS this morning, was told that I am getting a letter in the mail because something on the education credit paperwork wasn't filled out fully. DH did our taxes through H&R Block's website, we usually do it by hand but we wanted a fast return. That has backfired hehe

DH went to the website, researched it a little, there was a glitch with their software and everyone who has the education credit might have an issue because those buttons weren't filled out and will get a letter from the IRS telling them to fix it. So it looks like we paid a chunk of cash to have them do it and because we did, our return is now postponed for at least a few weeks. The IRS agent I talked to said that it could take up to 2 weeks for us to even get the letter to fix the problem, so we're probably looking at another month at least before we get our money. GRRRRRRR

DH said that once our refund is received in our hands, he is calling H&R Block for a refund from them for the cost of the software. I don't know if that helps anyone, sorry it's so long.

Filed 2/22, still waiting. We had a bar with 3 sections up till today, and now it just says processing a date will be given.

*sigh* waiting for this or our settlement from something else to come in to book.
