Tax refunds

We filed Feb 1 and nothing It still says it's processing.

I filed and was accepted the 1st, I still don't have a date. I don't understand how people who filed after me have gotten their returns or will be soon. My return was very simple with just w'2 and 1099.

We had ours done yesterday and the lady that does them said the IRS wasn't giving specific dates this year on direct deposits like they have in the past but that it should be in there within next 2 weeks. My sister efiled hers online and had it back within about a week and a half --online it told her 21 days and she just kept checking her bank account.

We filed on the 1st and it was deposited yesterday.

NYS on the other had is always held up. My DH is Jr. and his dad was a deadbeat dad and has past due child support so our return always gets pulled for review because of the same name. We always have to wait a few weeks to get our state.

We filed on Jan 30 and finally got a deposit date this morning of Feb 13th. So relieved that to its coming. Not that I get to do anything fun with it, dh had emergency surgery in Nov and we are using it to pay off alot of his hospital bills. I may splurge on a new disney dooney!

Same here I thought for sure I had done something wrong with our rental property info and that is what the hold up was I had even stopped checking .

Update:
My dd was set for the 11th(monday) and I just checked my online banking and it was deposited!

I am sure it won't actually go thru until Monday as our banks do not process today but at least I know it is there!

Nothing fun with ours either. Paying off all our debt (except mortgage) so that we can start saving in case DD gets accepted to college program this summer! AND it seems dh's job is not as busy as last year so they are signing people up for Workshare unemployment. So this could be a long hard year.

We filed on the 30th with turbotax. It was accepted within 90minutes, but we are still waiting for the status board to change. I even cleared my cookies on the computer in case it was something with that. But no...no news.

I am wondering something though. When we had a paper return, it was routed to different offices through out the US. Do they still do that with the e-files? If so, then that might explain the longer and shorter waits. It always seemed like the Atlanta office was swamped with more states, but then when we were sending to other locations, they were faster.

Just checked and if they are processed by the mailing address, ours was sent to Kansas City, Mo along with Alabama, Georgia, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia,Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia.

Yep, we tend to do things s...l...o...w and spread out. but once a bee gets in the bonnet, things get a rolling.

You always know if a nonlocal is in line at the grocery. They just dont understand why we're chatting it up with everyone. But it's ok. As my mama says, "Bless your heart..."

But I still would really like my money from the government (before they go bankrupt).

Mine was accepted on the 1st and I just checked and it will be deposited on the 13th. So happy.

DH and I just filed Thursday. It's been accepted, now we're just waiting on them to review and approve it. So, we're hoping to have both State and Federal by the 1st of March. It's hard not to check obsessively on the state and IRS sites for an update. LOL

I have a cousin who just got her refund in the last week (I'm assuming she filed before the 1st of February to already have it).

Was finally able to get all my documents and filed this morning. Then I found out about the education credit delay. Who knows when we'll get our refund.
