Tax refunds

Ours is not available for return transcript. :(

We were accepted on Feb 1st.

We own nothing and did the easiest return.

We claimed ourselves and our minor child.

That is all.

I am wanting to cover her homeschooling and I need to pay registration in order to hold her spot.

I wonder why ours is not being deposited.

We usually get our back really quick and we are getting less this year than last year.

:confused3

i checked our status monday night, and it said our return was received, and we should expect our refund in about 21 days from the date we filed. i checked just now, after reading the last page of this thread, and it says our refund will be deposited on february 8th! :banana:WOOHOO!

Ours will be held up becuase we had to file the 1098t for education credits. I'm thinking of going to WDW for my birthday. You only turn 30 four times;)

Thanks, I am sure it will all go well. Just one more step in getting that 'perfect' (and expensive) smile. lol Braces are costly!

I also read that once you check your status 3x's or so it locks you out so to speak and you will continue to get the processing status and eventually the no information found status. But I think the IRS is just not updating it as well as they could be. I did call the 1800 # and it says prcoessing so we will see. It seems most ppl are having the same issue with the WMR update so I will just plan to see my refund in the next few days. ;)

BTW..I did try to order my DD's transcripts (she will need hers for FA also) but it wouldn't let me do anything. She has never filed before this year and she has a 1098t which is holding her filing up. She isn't as worried about her $31 refund though. :rotfl:

So true! Ds12 & ds16 went into braces on MLK day. Thank God they don't need any teeth pulled too. We were lucky that both of our jobs offer a FSA so at least we don't pay taxes on that amount. The payments come out monthly through that.
I thought ds16 would never need them. He had perfect teeth until approx 2 yrs ago. He finally asked for them last fall. Of course the orth tells him either get them now & let Mom & Dad pay or wait til your adult & pay for them yourself.

I would recommend FSA for anyone who has kids and who even 'thinks' they may need braces! We did NOT have it and it was a big monthly expense. Even though we had a couple of months to prepare we had no idea what the monthly pmyt would be until our Ins. approved and contract was ready from our Ortho. And then on top of the regular ortho, DS has had to have 3 baby teeth taken out, this last one being surgical due to the adult being hidden in his gums. So alot of added expenses on top of the regular ortho bill. However, I have to say we were determined to get rid of that bill quickly and paid off the 2yr contract in 1 year!!

And yep my DD now 20 was absolutely against getting them back when she could. Hers are only slightly off and could have done invisilign. NOW that our ins. will not pay she is wanting them. :rolleyes1

GOOD NEWS ALERT!!:dance3:
I finally received a deposit date! We filed on the 30th, was accepted around midnight same night and our deposit date is set for the 11th.

We had the 'no info available' and 'processing w/code' status for 2 days before a dd given. So those of you waiting, have faith!!
Thanks everyone for your help!

Got my deposit today on my Federal! Still waiting on state.... However I was able to throw some money at my student debt this morning, that always feels good. :)

I did learn a little trick yesterday after stalking the Turbo Tax community board. If you go to the IRS site you can order a RETURN transcript (not an ACCOUNT transcript) and it will help you know where you stand in the system. The transcript is free, and if you are able to order your 2012 Return Transcript it means the IRS is done processing your return and all you are waiting on is for them to issue you a dd.

Well crud, mine says one is not available either :( and we filed on February 1st so I was hoping to have it by Friday. Oh well.....it's just going to pay off debt but it still would be nice to have it :(. When we had the adoption tax credit we had to wait until April for our refund

My oldest sons, which was filed the same exact day and even had a mistake we had to correct, is showing a deposit for tomorrow and the transcript request went through. The IRS makes no sense.

still waiting for a dd this morning! I hope next year the IRS will have it's stuff together and not delay refunds!!! (That goes for Congress as well)

Differing levels of tax complexity perhaps?

Nope, not really. We didn't have enough to itemize this year, so it's just straight W2, house interest and our donations. Our State should be there tomorrow....so again, not sure what is holding up the Feds.

We filed on the 31st, had our acceptance that evening.
Already received State (California.)
Been through the various messages on the WMR site, currently they can't find my husband's, but mine comes up with the no bar and message about it being processed.(Joint Return which is weird!)
However, this morning I could request my transcript, so I'm just going to check my bank the next few days and hope it makes it in soon! :thumbsup2

I know it's maddening when they give us tools to ease our minds, and then everything seems screwy and there are 3 questions for every fix they try to do. :confused3

I can't even start to think about this. DH is an accountant....ours will be filed late, as usual. He is so busy this time of year we always file extensions.

Dawn

Filed about a week ago, refund posted to our account Tues. 5th. Doing it online ourselves is always so quick. :goodvibes

Ughhhh...........I have one in college and one going into college in the fall. I had an education credit for the older one, so mine hasn't even been accepted yet. I need that refund sooooooo much right now. My younger one is a theatre major and has auditions to do for her schools. A portion of that refund was going toward our massive road trip next week to visit schools and audition! Grrr......

Also, I really hope this delay isn't going to impact my younger one's financial package at whichever school she picks. The FAFSA was done in mid January, but I can't use the IRS Retrieval Tool until the return has processed. Again...GRRRRR......

Our state one says the dd was transmitted on 2/6 but still nothing showing in our bank. Does it usually take that long to see a refund once it's been transmitted?

Just an update from me.

I filed Monday, Feb 4th and it was accepted within minutes.

I had a 1098T for DD but couldn't get any education credits this year because of scholarships/grants. I am self employed so I also had a Schedule C and an 8829.

I tried to get a transcript yesterday but the IRS said that nothing was found.

Today, WMR shows a DD date of Feb 12th. :) I always thought that they did them on Fridays but from reading here, it looks like Tue is the new day.

I just checked on mine again and it still says dd of 11th (Monday). So I don't think that they are using any particular day of the week. It is completely random this year. I did check my bank to see if I perhaps had it come thru today, and it did not. So will check again on Monday.

Filed on 2/1, accepted 2/1, late tues 2/5 showed dd of 2/8, 10 pm 2/7 dd showed up in bank

Our state was accepted on the 2nd and the direct deposit went in on the 8th. However...because of the education credits....our federal is STILL BEING HELD. :(
