Tax included on DDP?

This may be a dumb question but if we are on the dining plan, is tax included in our credits? I know we will have to pay OOP for tips and and extras we order but do you pay OOP for tax also? Also, what is the tax percentage in Disney? Just trying to figure out best use of our credits... Thanks!

Tax is included in the price of the dining plan so anything paid for with dining credits will already include the tax. Anything paid for OOP will be taxed at 6.5%, except at the AllStars which is in a different county that has a tax rate of 7%. An exception is if you pay OOP for CRT or the dinner shows; the pre-paid price includes tax and gratuity.
