I know not everyone knows what these are but for those who do..have you tried the new Pancake Krimpet?:confused3 I just saw it in a local WAWA. I don't know, sounds kinda strange to me:rotfl:

I don't know what a WAWA is but I heard of Tastykake's here on the DIS. I am just posting because I can't resist a snack cake thread. ;)

Um. Ew. I never really liked their butterscotch krimpets (although for some reason, that's what my mom always put in my lunch...hmmm).

TASTYKAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE TASTYKAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, I really get excited about cupcakes, especially Tastykakes!:lmao:

I grew up in Maryland, so I'm very familiar with Tastykakes. When we moved away from the area, I was devastated to learn that their products aren't sold nationwide. We used to make annual trips from New England to Washington DC, and everyone thought it was to sightsee. No, it was so I could stock up on Tastykakes. At Christmastime, I've been known to order Tastykakes by the case.:)

I don't remember the correct names, but my favorites are the chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting, the thin, flat chocolate ones (fingers?) with cream in the middle, and the spongy ones with chocolate frosting.

In fact, I used to have a tag that said something about ODing on Tastykakes, and it was the longest tag on the DIS. Sadly, I somehow managed to erase it quite awhile ago when I was fooling around trying to change things in my profile.:sad2:

Wow, sorry to go on and on about Tastykakes. I think I need to go order a case.:rotfl:

Edited to add: I got so excited seeing the word "Tastykakes" that I forgot to anwer your question. No, I haven't tried it. :)

I actually like Krimpets as a change from peanut butter Tandy Takes. I tried the pancake ones and they were not that great. I didn't realize they had creme in them and they were very sweet.
WAWA is a convenience store that is always open and sells everything from bread and milk to deli items and batteries and stuff like that. I love their soups.

Pancake Krimpet?

I've moved out of the area, so can you elaborate? Is it a Krimpet that tastes like a pancake? Or is it a pancake?

I'm lucky, Tops carries them ::yes::

ETA: Oh...I see. That looks strange. I wonder why they didn't call it a Maple Krimpet instead?

When I was little my Nana used to take the Butterscotch krimpets and put candles in them. She'd use them for birthday cakes :)

I'm so with you. I spent the my first 8 years in NJ and the next 3 in South Florida -- always had Tastykakes. Then we moved to Washington state  all they had was Hostess. :scared:

I am so going to try these ...

I love Wawa and I love Tastykakes in that order but those things look nasty.

Okay, I'll try to rein in my enthusiasm.:rotfl2: I guess I got a bit carried away. Cupcakes will do that to me.:rotfl:

Actually, I'm heading to the east coast in a few months, and I'm going to stock up on my favorites. If the Tastykake aisle in your local supermarket is empty in May, you'll know it was your store I hit.

And, no it wasn't me that posted pics of my dining room table covered in boxes of snack cakes, but whoever it was, I'd like to be her new best friend, especially if they were Tastykakes.:rotfl:

I haven't seen the Pancake Krimpets yet, but my local Wawa had the new Tastykake Chocolate and Peanut Butter Protein Bars. They were expensive, but sooooo good.:thumbsup2

I  the crumb cakes with cream filling..they are great for a WDW in room breakfast!;) I think I'll pass on the Pancake Krimpets.

well I hope you all are happy, I'm eating a Tastykake coffee cake right now. I've been down with the flu the last couple of days and this sounded bland enough to make it past the plumbing ok:rotfl:

No, no I'm not happy that YOU are enjoying a Tastykake product right now.

Just kidding;) - Enjoy! I'll have to settle for a Hostess cupcake tonight.

That's all I have, too. Those are so bad, my kids won't even eat them.
