Did anyone see or hear about the last Tarzan Rocks show yesterday? I am curious since the lead actor was injured last week-

I'm really gonna miss it! I cried when we saw it in December, knowing it would be my last time!!

I l  tarzan Rocks  I am so :sad1:  :furious:
When will the show that is replacing it start? :confused3

I saw it Saturday at noon as well. I must say that it was absolutely PHENOMENAL! It was so energetic and yet so emotional. I sat through that performance with goosebumps and chills the whole time. It truly was something magical and special. I am thankful I got to see it on the final day and it definitely left me teary-eyed! (Especially when the singers were getting choked up during the performance!)

I had actually thought about driving up there to watch the last show if we hadn't already had our trip planned for this coming weekend. I woulda been way to emotional though, lol. I'm such a dork, but I loved Tarzan Rocks and will greatly miss it.

Personally I'm glad they tanked this show! It was probably the worse show Disney has ever had.

I never saw Tarzan (I wished I had). But I do know that I will be very emotional when Cinderellabration closes (just like I was when CSC closed).

Totally agree. It was painful to sit through the whole thing. Tarzan the movie didn't receive the acclaim I thought it deserved, and the show discredited it even more IMHO. Good riddance!!

We saw it for the first and only time in September. I am so glad that I took the time to see it. It was a great show, my 6 year old loved it, and he hates sitting through the shows. Here's to Tarzan Rocks :thumbsup2

Although I wasn't the biggest fan of tarzan rocks, it was somewhat enjoyable. I have tickets for Tarzan on Brodway in April,,, I will report back how that is.

If it is anything like B&B or Lion King, it will be fantastic.

Wondering if maybe they are waiting for the Broadway show to open and then revamp the Tarzan Rocks to be similar to the play.

:confused3

I knew it wouldn't take long until we would get some people to say how glad they are that the show closed... :rolleyes2

Please don't get me wrong...I respect your opinions, but I was just hoping that those kind of remarks would have not shown up in this thread. This may sound a bit "sick", but the closing of this show really affected me in a way I never thought it would. I mean, it truly was sad to see the performers get emotional during one of the final shows. This has been their life for the past many months or even years, so it really was hard to see them upset that it was coming to an end. This show has meant so much to me and I used to go weekly to watch it. And, for people to chime in saying things like they are glad the show is gone, just makes it much, much worse for me.

Oh well...hopefully we can keep this thread going in the direction of remembrance and reflection for those of us who enjoyed this great theatrical production, and those who did not get a chance to experience it.

End rant... :)

I loved this show and wish I could have seen it again before it closed. DH and I went in Oct. but my favorite part wasn't in it that day - the whole Tarzan and Jane spinning in the air scene was taken out that day. I really wish I could have seen it complete again before it closed.

We were there also for the Noon show on Saturday. It was very emotional. It was my favorite of all the Disney shows. When I saw the one man on rollerblades with tears rolling down his face towards the end of the show, that did me in. My tears started and then when the woman singer choked up and just about everyone on stage had tears running down their face (we were right up front and could see their faces), I looked over and my husband had tears running down his face... that was a first seeing tears from my husband! It was very sad knowing these fellow cast members were facing their last day at Animal Kingdom and I'm so glad the crowd gave them the acknowledgment that they so deserved. After the "UP" feeling of the morning after riding Everest, this sure put us in a "DOWNER" the rest of the day. To think we'll never see that show and those cast members again is very very sad .... those entertainers were so great!!!! TO THE ENTERTAINERS: THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR GIVING SO MANY PEOPLE SO MUCH JOY AND FOR ENTERTAINING US FOR SO MANY YEARS ... YOU ARE GREAT AND WILL BE SORELY MISSED!!!!

I loved this show! It was one of my favorites and I am sad it gone. My DD enjoys it also.

My whole fam enjoyed this show, and never saw or rode anything at WDW that wasnt enjoyable. maybe we're just easilly amused. Fine with me, it keeps us happy :goodvibes

We saw it in October for the first time - I couldn't believe we haven't seen it before then - I'm so glad we saw it, it was a wonderful show. My dd's loved it and talk about it often.

I didn't realize this was a private thread. You didn't even start the thread so why the rant? Sorry about the performers but I'm sure they will find other work in WDW, especially if they are talented. I can't help it if I thought it was a terrible show. I think they tried to cover up how faults of this show by just being LOUD. I am looking forward to a hopefully much better show.
