Love, love, love your wedding photos!

Love all the wedding pics.

Thank you guys so much! I was so proud of how our wedding turned out, it was exactly as I had imagined it all along, and we had a blast! All my guests said it was the most fun they ever had at a wedding :goodvibes

Welcome to the TR! And thank you :) I love my bridesmaids hair. The salon we went to was so excited about doing vintage hair-dos, they really went all out!

I think it is awesome that the guys wore Chuck Taylors. Everybody wore them at my wedding girls included. It started as a joke when I overheard my fiance say that she didn't care what I wore. So I told her I was wearing chuck taylors. She soon liked the idea and got them for herself. Our minister was going to wear them also but he thought he might take too much abuse for it

Wow what a beautiful wedding, it looked so perfect and I love the theme :)

Day Two (11/10/09) (cont.)

"You let me drink that!?"

We walked out of Innoventions and I wanted to make our way over to Club Cool before we finally departed for World Showcase. When we stepped outside, Andy got to see the Jammitors! He actually thought they were pretty cool and I must admit I enjoyed them as well.

Now of course, all of you know what heading to Club Cool means. That's right. It's Beverly time. Funnily enough, I have never tried Beverly myself and was not aware of it's existence until I read all about it on Disboards. But I was determined to get Andy to try it without warning him of it's horrible taste. Let's just say he was less than pleased :rotfl: To be fair, I did try it myself because I had to know what all the fuss was about. MAN is that stuff disgusting. I did manage to capture the wonderful moment:

47HoneymoonDay2.jpg

He was complaining of the awful taste in his mouth all the way to World Showcase, haha. I am such a loving wife I know. I wanted us to have enough time to really get to see World Showcase since I myself have never really taken the time to just slow down and explore, but it didn't really work out that way. I wanted to make sure we got to Japan in time to see Miyuki the candy maker which meant we had to rush through the other countries in order to get there. I figured, we would just make our way back to them later...but we'll get to that.

48HoneymoonDay2.jpg

I also took a video of her making the candy!

I also accidentally took this movie, which I intended to be a picture and Andy was trying to mess up! Haha, it ended up being funny.

We sat down in Japan for a little bit and I got a Kaki Gori (flavored ice) with my snack credit. Then we headed toward America!! The next American Adventure show was coming on and I figured why not sit down and watch the show. Andy really liked this show and I remembered why I liked this show! It just makes me so patriotic (and a little teary eyed)

We passed by Germany and I took a picture of the little town/train set.

It was starting to get close to our ADR at San Angel Inn and I wanted to make sure we got on Maelstrom. Funnily enough I think this was the longest line we waited in the whole day. It took maybe 10 minutes? Maybe not even that long. I forgot how short this ride is, seriously I felt like I had just gotten on it before it was over. We skipped over the movie and headed over to Mexico.

We still had a little bit of time before we had to sit down and eat so we rode the Grand Fiesta Tour (this had no wait! walked straight on) I managed to snap a shot of the temple while I was on the boat.

57HoneymoonDay2.jpg

We were both very stuffed from our day by the time it was dinner. We are not used to eating 3 meals a day, and especially not big meals like these! So we ended up splitting things.

We started with the Sopa Azteca, which I have found the recipe for and I am determined to make it.
58HoneymoonDay2.jpg

Then we just split some Rib Eye tacos. I forgot to take a picture before we split them up and started eating them! Sorry the picture is bad but it was so dark in there the flash was the only way to shoot the food.
59HoneymoonDay2.jpg

I managed to put this on his head and take a picture before he could protest.

Now if you were following the weather for the week of our honeymoon, you would know that originally there was some concern about Tropical Storm Ida. The whole week before I was freaking out because I thought we would be running around in the rain all week. The whole day before Epcot, and the whole day we were at Epcot we had these horrible dark clouds in the sky and it was extremely humid like it was about to rain. Andy and I just kept waiting for it to happen.

Amazingly, it did not rain all day until after we finished our dinner at around 7:45. And this was the one AND only time it rained our entire trip!! The funny thing is, every time we turned on the weather channel they showed Virginia Beach in ruins from the storm. (We live about 2 hours from there and everyone at home said it rained the entire week we were gone) Anyway, Im getting side tracked but I just thought id share that.

So I threw on a poncho and Andy was fine just holding the umbrella. We wanted to explore the countries some more before illuminations but it was actually raining hard enough that we just tried to stay in doors. First we went over to China to check out the exhibit. Andy took some pictures with his army:

62HoneymoonDay2.jpg

We did some more shop browsing in Germany and France before we finally decided to settle on a spot to watch Illuminations. We found a nice spot on a bench in Japn! It was still raining so I opened up the other disposable poncho and we used that to sit on. We stayed there cuddled up for about a half hour before the fireworks finally started! The funny thing was before the fireworks Andy told me to let him know when they were getting ready to end so we could get a hard start to the front of the park. When it was getting toward the end I told him and he was enjoying them so much he wanted to stay for the rest (HAHA! Success)

After they were over we made our way to the front to catch our bus, making sure to stop in the photo place to get our free Disney Visa Print!! When we go to the buses, we saw all the lines of people waiting. We looked at each other, wet and tired, and agreed that $10 was worth a speedy trip home. So we hopped in a cab. Totally worth it! It was $12 with the tip from Epcot to POR.

Of course, when we got back to our room we were pleasantly surprised by our first towel animal!!! Again, success!! It was a great first park day!

Up next: Magic Kingdom!!!!

Sounds like you guys had a great first day. I love the candy maker. I so just saw her on a show I was watching like 20 minutes ago. She just is so good. The World Showcase is always amazing. I'm glad Andy was finally catching the Disney bug. And the towel animal was awesome. I know that you guys were really excited about those. Can't wait to hear more!

I always wanted my husband to be comfortable on our wedding day and really feel like himself, so I'm glad he decided to wear them and all of our groomsmen as well! I would have worn some red chucks but I dont think they would have gone very well with my dress :rotfl:

I absolutely love all your wedding photos. So gorgeous!!

Wow what a beautiful wedding, it looked so perfect and I love the theme :)

Thank you so much! I'm so proud of our wedding, it was awesome and we had an amazing time!

I love the candy maker! I watched videos of her on youtube until our trip and I was so glad to finally watch her in person. I was a little bummed that I couldn't get her to make some candy, but maybe I'll get some next time!

Great update, loving the pictures of Mexico and the Terracotta Army. Whereabouts is the Army, we must have completely missed them last year.

Sounds like a fun evening. I'm so glad the rain didn't ruin your night!

Me too! I still would have run around in the rain, but I didn't want to of course.

Great update, loving the pictures of Mexico and the Terracotta Army. Whereabouts is the Army, we must have completely missed them last year.

It's in that building you always see when you walk past China:

Just go in and there is a whole little exhibit with cool stuff to look at.

Aaah I see, thanx :) I love that building, its so beautiful, but have never been inside.

Day Three (11/11/09)

"It's the castle! It's the castle!"

After a good night sleep, I woke up and started to get ready while I let Andy sleep some. Eventually I turned on the TV to check out the weather channel. We saw that Virginia Beach was in complete shambles before of the tropical storm and we both realized how lucky we were to avoid it completely!! After we were finished getting ready we decided that we were going to skip breakfast since the day before we were way to full from 3 meals. So we headed over to the bus stop to get on our bus to the Magic Kingdom!!

I took a couple shots on the way.

03HoneymoonDay3.jpg

The bus didn't take very long to arrive and I'm pretty certain we managed to snag a seat. There is a funny/semi annoying story involving the buses however that seemed to be a common trend through out our vacation. I believe it happened that morning and that was the first time. Right when we were about to get on the bus, this huge family of like 6 or 7 is standing at the front of the line. They all crowd around the Magic Kingdom bus door (which CLEARLY states Magic Kingdom) and ask the driver "Is this the bus for Downtown Disney?" When the bus driver informs them its not they get a little irratated and start asking him a million questions, all the while blocking the entrance to the bus for those of us who know how the bus system works. First time this happened (and this happened about 4 or 5 times with different families in different places), DH and I just laughed it off, but after awhile I was starting to get a little annoyed that people couldn't just read the side of the bus. I mean literally they were shocked to find out that it was a different bus than what they were looking for. Sigh, ah well...vent over. It was the only unusual thing that happened our whole trip.

When we finally got to Magic Kingdom (around 9ish), my plan was to catch the train to Toontown so we could start out in Fantasyland. While it was a good thought, I had forgotten that Toontown doesn't open until 10:00am and so the train does not stop there yet. Oh well, I still got some good pictures:

05HoneymoonDay3.jpg

We ran back downstairs and then saw that they were loading the double decker bus which was taking everyone to the castle!! Sure it's not that fast but it was cool to see everything from up high and just enjoy the ride.

06HoneymoonDay3.jpg

07HoneymoonDay3.jpg

08HoneymoonDay3.jpg

We walked through the center of castle (I was a little giddy finally showing Andy Cinderella Castle) and arrived in Fantasyland! I wanted to knock out some rides here since I figured later they would be too long when all the parents and their small children finally arrived. First, I needed a picture of Andy trying to pull out the sword before we did anything! Didn't budge for him, guess he's not meant to be king.

09HoneymoonDay3.jpg

We started with Peter Pan's Flight, which we walked on to without any wait and then immediately after walked across the way for it's a small world. Andy wasn't thrilled about riding this one but I told him it was part of the experience and he hadn't truly been to Disney if he didn't ride it his first time. So he obliged his wife :goodvibes Now the song would be stuck in his head for the rest of the day! Haha! We walked right off the ride and straight into Philharmagic. (It's so nice not to wait!) Andy didn't really want to do any of the other rides in Fantasyland, so we decided to make our way over to Fontierland.

We were making our way to Splash Mountain when I looked over and noticed Woody and Jessie!! There was a very small line so I dragged DH over there to get some pictures:

Yeah, I wasn't even aware of the bus, it was just there when we came out of the train station! It was pure luck we made it on, because after another couple behind us, they didn't let anyone else on. I don't know how many times it goes back to the front to get more people and it is VERY slow, but it was enjoyable and a cool view!

Love the pics from the bus. And I love the ones with Woody and Jesse

Thanks! I love those pictures too!
