Is the clearance in July a good one? Do they go to 75% off? I have always shopped the January sale but never the July one.

They'll hit 75% in July/August to make room for all the Christmas stock, then get rid of what didn't sell in the January markdown.

We went Thursday since they have ALWAYS marked down on Thurs. and asked the SA and she said check back next week. Imagine my surprise when we were there yesterday and it was 75%. Hit 2, one had lots but nothing very great and not much at the other one. Did really well in July. They we marking it all down as we stood there so we'll try that again.

I was hoping for Monty Or Spike at 75% off, but no luck. I got a bunch of other good deals for birthdays for the rest of the year though!

My mom found Spike at Mt Kisco NY Target for $32.50--my DS will be so happy on XMas. Since she found him, I took back the Monty that I bought as a substitute. I also got lots of b-day and XMas gifts for my kids and as gifts. We did good!

Didn't get anything. Most of what was left looked like infant toys.
DD had wanted the Our Generation Kitchen, but they were all gone.

I didn't start with 2 carts ... but I ended up with two, so I could separate what I bought for myself and for DD's school.

Had some errands to run today so I ran into Target since I was near one of them. Most of the stuff was still 30-50% off they had a few at 75%, but it was all girl/toddler stuff. So once again I left empty handed.

Just for the record, I did scan the few items I was interested in, and they came up 30% off.

Seemed like the prices were higher this sale, too. I remember getting a TON of stuff for under $5 (and it was decent stuff, too!!). I posted a picture of my stash from last year. I'll have to see if I can find it.

P.S. Dontcha just love the sight of those little orange stickers?!?

ETA: Couldn't find it, but I had about twice that stash for around $140, I think. Darn inflation!! Granted we got to our Target very late, but nothing under $8.48 except for some really junky things (of course, DS4 had to have a Domo keychain thing). I remember getting a ton of little spa kits in the summer for $1.74, I think. Still great deals, though!!!!

Stuff does go 75%, but to me this sale is better. In July there are a lot of little things...slip n slides, sand toys, and sidewalk chalk. Still great stuff to put up for Easter baskets, party goody bags, or vacations though.
