Thanks for the Edy's coupons. I went to Target today and use 5/$1 for the Edy's ice cream. They had the very small ones on sale for $1.19 each and I got 5 of them for only .19 each.....:rotfl2:

Also, I bought 4 of the Softsoap Ensembles Hand Soap for $2.84 each and used 4/$2 coupons and got 4 for .84 each.......YEA:dance3:

I also had a Degree Deodrant coupon from the Sunday paper for .75 off and bought the trial size for .97 ...so I only paid .22 for it.

I think I am going to go to another Target tomorrow and get some more soaps and ice cream (perfect size for all of us who r watching her figure).

Happy shopping.

There are two other good deals that I just found out about. Works best if you have coupons from the newspaper.

- Degree fine fragrance deoderant or body mist
- use $2 printable Target coupon combined with $1.25 coupon from 5/17 newspaper to get cheap deo.

OR

Print two of the $2 coupons and combine with a $1 on two deoderants courtesy of the Degree deoderant website so you would save $5 on two. (not sure how much the deo actually costs)

Also Bounty paper towels are on sale for 99 cents this week for one roll. Use $0.50 Target coupon from 6/21 paper combined with $0.25 manufacturer coupon from 6/7 paper to get it for a quarter.

Went to Target yesterday to pick up a few items. I had a cashier that would only accept 1 Target coupon per transaction....what a pain. I told her to delete all the items that coincided with the coupon. The I had a different cashier today who told me the coupon for the gillette razor was not the same as the item I was buying because the picture on the coupon was different! I am so sick of my Target and coupons.....makes me not want to shop there. Then I also used the Target Q for the gillette....and the cashier looks everything over about 5 times before she says...oh, no you cannot use 2 coupons for the same item...so I tell her it's a Target coupon and a manufacturer coupon....then she looks at the item I bought for the millionth time and this time says "oh, no this take a total of $8 off and you only paid $7.64." So I told her to just take $3.64 off the Target coupon....so she says she can't do that....calls over a manager....who could care less and tells her how to do it. I did pick up 10 packs of Crayonla crayons (24pk) for $0.30/pack and Crayola colored pencils (12pk) for $1.00. I also got the Pictureka card game for $1.99 ($6.99 - $5MFQ)....but then again the cashier looked confused and almost questioned me.

My store didn't have the small Edys.....but I can just imagine the cashier's reaction if I tried that one!

Booooo for your store!:headache: Fortuntely, my Target is awesome and will take any coupon I hand them w/o any questions at all. It doesn't matter what cashier I use either.:thumbsup2

My Target cn also be difficult which is why I don't shop thee to much !!!Don't they realise that a little more enlightened cashiers would bring in MORE business !! Our Walgreens tried that with me but a phone call to corporate set them staright ad the cashier who gave me a hard time couldn't be nicer now !!!

I have one that may top it all! Yesterday, my family and I went into Target to buy Dreyer's ice cream for root beer floats. My 5 yr old printed the coupons in the store and off we went. We found the ice cream and headed towards the check out. I decided since I had to get root beer at the grocery store a few doors down and in the efforts to save time and possible ice cream melting that I would take my son and leave my husband with my 2yr old to purchase the ice cream. When he finally met up with me, he said that he had a problem with the Target coupons. I guess the cashier questioned them. Who did she call for help? Not the manager! The security personnel!!!! While the Target employee and the security personnel were discussing whether or not to accept the coupon, my 2yr old in high 2yr old attitude was singing "They are Target coupoooons. They are Target Coupoonnnss." :sad2: Nothing like adding madness to madness. I guess she has been out couponing with me too much. In any case, my husband was not pleased that he was treated like a criminal over $3 bucks.

On a happier note, Happy Fourth of July everyone!

Wow, it is shocking how rude some employees are at some Targets!! I have been very lucky so far since at my Target they have accepted my coupons without problems (knock on wood!!). Walgreens did not though and constantly argued and I haven't been back since.

McQueenofHrts... can't believe they wouldn't immediately accept their own coupon printed inside their own store!!! That's just moronic.

I usually never have a problem at Target, and I have saved a ton of $$ thanks to this thread.!! Thanks much!!:cool1:

However, there is not a specific Walgreens thread and I need to vent... I have never been to Walgreens before and one just opened in our town last week. I have read a lot about them on the budget board and was interested in giving them a try. Here is my experience.... it will be hard not to laugh!!

I go to the checkout and say,
"the Off clip on fans that are in the ad are out of stock and your substitute is out of stock too. What is your policy on rainchecks?"

She says, " We have lots of other fans in the store."

I show her the coupon so she can see a picture, "it's a tiny fan for mosquitos."

"That's weird."
Then, "where did you get that coupon?"

"I printed it off the internet."

"Oh, then you will have to buy the mosquito's fan on the internet."

I did not laugh.. I just asked for a raincheck. While she was writing it, she mentioned that the truck should be there within a few days and maybe I should check back. I told her how the fans are on sale this week and I just need a raincheck.

Then... I was buying pringles and they are on sale for .99 adn I had a Q. $1/2. OK. she rings me up and I mention that she forgot my coupon.

"Oh, it already rang up at that price."

I tell her, "no, they rang up at 99 cents but the coupon is for 1.00 off 2."

"Well, that is too much off."

After looking it over, she decides that she can give me the coupon except she has already rang up my order and a manager would need to take care of it but he is gone for the day. (it's like, 10:30 am on a Thursday!)

I tell her to do what she must but I would like my $1.00 off.
She hands me 99 cents. !!

I take it and wish her a happy fourth of July.

:rotfl2: OK... did you crack a smile or is it just me who found this a little bit comical ?? :rotfl2:

Thanks for the Pictureka coupon link. I got the last set of cards at my Target and they were 5% off so I got them for $1.64. We had the reg. game and DD loves it so I thought the cards would be fun at our campground.

I also found a Littlest Pet Shop set for $2.74. Last one and shoved behind other toys on the clearance shelf. It has 4 animals, a beach chair and a bunch of little pieces. DD is happy as a clam with it.

I didn't use any specific coupons but - man oh man - it seemed like everything was on clearance today. The womens section had 8-9 clearance stands; many at 50-75% off. I bought 3 tops at $4.78 apiece. They were also clearing out the kids shoe section for next season. The end of the aisles and beyond were stuffed to the gill with clearance shoes. I bought the kids some dvd's for $4.88 i believe it was. I've never seen so much clearance at Target before. I had a hard time not going crazy with the debit card...

I did email corporate and got an apology from the manager but just haven't gone back since. Didn't really feel up to it to see if the assistant manager will get in my way again or not.

Sorry to hear the prices are so high there!!

I have to say you guys rock. I am learning so much just from this thread. Between my Target deals and much more careful shopping and coupon use, I hvae brought our grocery/household budget down from about $1200 a month to about $700 which is much more acceptable to me!

Off to get 6 containers of Edy's ice cream now! :rotfl:(DH is going with me adn he IS going to croak.)
