I usually never have a problem at Target, and I have saved a ton of $$ thanks to this thread.!! Thanks much!!
However, there is not a specific Walgreens thread and I need to vent... I have never been to Walgreens before and one just opened in our town last week. I have read a lot about them on the budget board and was interested in giving them a try. Here is my experience.... it will be hard not to laugh!!
I go to the checkout and say,
"the Off clip on fans that are in the ad are out of stock and your substitute is out of stock too. What is your policy on rainchecks?"
She says, " We have lots of other fans in the store."
I show her the coupon so she can see a picture, "it's a tiny fan for mosquitos."
"That's weird."
Then, "where did you get that coupon?"
"I printed it off the internet."
"Oh, then you will have to buy the mosquito's fan on the internet."
I did not laugh.. I just asked for a raincheck. While she was writing it, she mentioned that the truck should be there within a few days and maybe I should check back. I told her how the fans are on sale this week and I just need a raincheck.
Then... I was buying pringles and they are on sale for .99 adn I had a Q. $1/2. OK. she rings me up and I mention that she forgot my coupon.
"Oh, it already rang up at that price."
I tell her, "no, they rang up at 99 cents but the coupon is for 1.00 off 2."
"Well, that is too much off."
After looking it over, she decides that she can give me the coupon except she has already rang up my order and a manager would need to take care of it but he is gone for the day. (it's like, 10:30 am on a Thursday!)
I tell her to do what she must but I would like my $1.00 off.
She hands me 99 cents. !!
I take it and wish her a happy fourth of July.

OK... did you crack a smile or is it just me who found this a little bit comical ??
