Target 20% off coupon

So silly, doesn't seem that it should be confusing at all. Spend $75, get a coupon to use on Dec 1st.

... especially since the coupon I received at our local Target had a red box at the top that said "Offer valid 12/1-12/7/13" on it.

Side note: I did try to purchase an ipad this morning (to reach my $75... valid excuse, right?) as the online inventory at Target showed a couple of nearby Targets still with the model I wanted. However, I learned they only put x amount out and although there may have been some in back they were not available for purchase. A different Target employee said the online system takes a while to update and that was why Target website was incorrect. Walmart at least said they had only 32 for their store with the gift card special (all sold yesterday), and they did have some left but was full price and no gift card included.

Just an FYI if you are still looking for an ipad... the apple store sale online is the $299 today with a $50 GC

Just wanted to clarify what the cards can be used for on-board. I can put them on my account when I get on the ship to pay for my bar tab, excursions, and gratuities, right? Anything that I need to know to make sure it gets done correctly?

Got my 20% off coupon today and looking forward to saving money on these items when cruising. Thanks in advance.

You can settle up your onboard account with gift cards. Everything that is charged to your room qualifies. You can use them to pay off a.cruise and ground transportation.

I dont know if this has been posted but here is a picture of the actual coupon

Thank you! I had been so focused on Target and RedCard and 20% I think I became narrow-visioned hehehe. Heading over there now!

Make sure to keep any of the cards you put on your shipboard account because if they have to give you a credit back it has to go on the card and can't be paid out any other way.

I do this all the time and the only other glitch I have come across is you can't put it on your account when you first board the ship as the computers are not in sync with your account. Other than that its a great way to pay your bill and now for hoping that there is no problem with entertainment cards and the Target 20% coupon so I can save a ton on our next cruise.

I asked a manager today..they said that only applies to target gift cards.. They said I can get as many disney cards as I want with the 20% off :)

The manager at the Target by my house said that the Disney gift cards are not rung up as gift cards, so I believe you can use the 20% off on as many as you can purchase in a single transaction. I know I have bought $1700 worth of cards at Target in the past, using my redcard discount and Rx discount. No problem whatsoever.

I called ahead and put gift cards on my shipboard account before my last cruise. Call at a time when you have plenty of time. It is applied to your account as a gift, and each card needs to be applied individually. Takes time, over an hour last time. But the Castmember on the phone was awesome, it was an easy hour. I'd rather spend that time on the phone than waste any time on my the ship dealing with it!

I am on pins and needles about this! :hyper:

I spent my $75 and am hoping to get 56 gift cards on Sunday. That will pay for the remainder of my cruise and my two day park tickets. This will be like getting the park days for free for three of us.

Good luck everyone and if it doesn't work.... at least we tried!

We got our coupon today and want to buy $2500 in gift cards to pay our DVC dues and our stateroom bill in January. That would be an awesome saving!

A few weeks back, I went the first day to put the GCs on our account and it only took a few minutes. Now I only had 5 - $50 GC cards, but then I also had a $150 Visa GC and some cash to put on it at the same time. I was done in about 15 minutes. Now if I had 20 cards, it probably would have taken longer, I know.

The only trouble I did run into was with the Visa GC. They made it my default payment method for our OB account even though it only had $150 on it. So when I went to do my OBB, they initially told me that my CC was denied (scared me for a minute until I realized they were trying the wrong card). Also, at the end of the cruise, we got a notice saying our CC was denied for the rest of our account. Again, they tried to put it on the GC and not the Visa I had linked to the account originally. You won't have that problem with just Disney GCs though.

I hope so because I will do a happy dance!!!!!!!

I got my coupon today too. I actually bought two Disney gift cards to make the total. I also tried to use a $10 off $100 coupon and the coupon did not work. I was just buying the Disney "entertainment " cards a total of $100. I wasn't going to fight it today as it was black friday. It scares me a bit tho as it says not good on gift cards on that coupon too. so..... i really do not know the difference between the coupon I tried to use today and the 20% one. we shall see.

I bought $100 worth of Disney cards online as Target isn't nearby. Now I'm hoping I get the 20%off coupon by email. If I do, I'll make the trip to Target next week to buy hundreds of dollars worth of cards. Looking forward to hearing how folks make out with the coupon and Disney cards!

Did you get it by email?
I ordered first thing this morning and only got confirmation of my order, not any coupon... And it's been 12 hours. :(

Post by neg58 yesterday says email for online purchases will be sent out Saturday for 20% off...Hoping that's correct! Anxious to see how this plays out.

Mine arrived overnight. Did you get yours? Can't wait to hear from the first person to try to buy Disney gift cards with it.

Like Kathleen, I tried to use that $10 off $100 coupon on 2 Disney cards as well and it wouldn't work - said they were gift cards! Worries me.

Also I got the email version of the 20% off this morning.
