I made ressies to eat in Japan for Sept. We are on the Basic dining plan. I know appetizers are not including but looking at the menu for the resturant, i noticed that soup and salad are separate prices. Now does this mean, we dotn' get soup or salad with our entree under the dining plan?? Usually, it is included when eating at a Japanese place, you get one or both with your meal.

Can someone please share this experience who was on the basic dining plan at Japan?? THANKS!!

so, you will pay separately. Salad or soup is not usually automatic at most places that we go to, anyway.

Most of the Disney restaurants are this way-ala carte.

Since the dining plan, I have noticed a lot of changes. The thing is that Disney thinks we do not notice them, but we do. The salad, which is quite good, used to be included in the price of your meal. Not anymore. And its demise coincides with the inception of the dining plan.. coincidence, maybe, but I am thinking it is not a coincidence..

You can just pay OOP for the salad

We pay OOP for the salad with ginger dressing. We also go downstairs to the store and buy a bottle to take home.

I feel like I need a 6 week dining plan 101 course!!

So, on the DELUXE dining you get an appetizer. Is it one or the other: appetizer or soup/salad??? Geesh I am confused.
