I have olive toned skin and I tan really well, however as I live in the UK, where sun is rare, I do not get to sport a tan very often. Before I went to California I started going on the sunbeds, but with recent scares reported with frequent use of these things, I've decided to fake it this year.
I would like to start tanning within the next couple of months and I definately do not want anything that will rub off on my dress. So I thought you girls may have some suggestions.
I have read wonderful things about Fake Bake, has anyone used these products? Can anyone recommend anything else that may be an option? I have looked at Spray Tans but they are really expensive where I live.

Thanks

this is gonna sound bad but I used one form QVC the shopping channel called ecotan, its a spary one but you dont go the orange colour and it does not streak, its not expensive either.

I'm not sure on others I have triedn ambre solare airbrush one and a clarins one and I streaked with them

I want to do tanning as well.. I am just hoping I dont get any type of blotches or spots...:headache:

I've been tanning for a long time and actually use tanning beds, but have also used Mystic Tan and the lotions. I would avoid any lotions right before your wedding because it will rub off on the dress and with you sweating in the Florida heat, it's just not a good combo! There are many tanning beds that actually offer Wedding Packages, where you get a great discount and they set the beds up to tan you quickly, but without burning. If your skin tans well, then this would be great and it's somethign you do just for about a month before your wedding. I would personally go for a real tan over using lotions for my wedding, but if you can't then I would suggest going to a salon where they have Mystic Tan, which is a stand-up spray tanning system. You can discuss how tan you want to be for the wedding and they can work out a program for you that'll work with your skin tone. It's a fast and safe way to tan!

i did this...I went to a tanning saloon for about 5 visits & did the lowest setting & it was just enough to give me some color(a base) & not burn.

Beds get a bad rep cause some people use them to much & fry in the sun.....its not gonna harm you if you go a few times for a special occasion

A big tip for bed tanning......MOISTURIZE!!!! they tend to dry you out & make you itchy so moisturize BIG TIME!!
Good Luck
