I have to face it, the swimsuit I bought in the shop at Blizzard Beach 3 years ago is worn out! The era of my wonderful aqua colored sparkling suit that covered up most of my bodily flaws (or so I´d like to think ;) ) is coming to an end.

So where does a size 14 girl, find a Tankini that keep the "girlfriends" in place, pushes the belly in and makes her feel more like a 28 year old wife and mom than an arctic whale???

P.S Has to be online...

Thanks
Freyja

Lands End, Newport News... even Old Navy has a couple cute ones.....all online.

:thumbsup2

Also give Eddie Bauer a try. They have some really cute ones. I love Lands End as well. :thumbsup2

Lands End!!!!!! You can return your online purchase to your local Sears store if need be. I love their suits-I have several of them, and they last a long time. They have some really nice ones right now!

I have a Land's End Tankini--the best part of it is that the bottoms are more like jogging shorts, so they cover up hips and the top of the thighs. I wore a suit with a little skirt once and DH asked me where I got his Nana's bathing suit, so never again. The shorts have the same effect but sportier.

everyone swears by the landsend suits...never bought one though...but lOVe their clothes...

they even have a model where you can see the suit on your body time - kinda neat...

This size 18 girl bought her tankini through Land's End and I love it!! Best fitting bathing suit I've ever bought, even though I was quite nervous about ordering a bathing suit online.

Another vote for Landsend suits here. The tankinis are great, IMO. The fabrics are so much more substantial than the suits at Target, etc. I got the twist top one - the top has underwire, to help hold things up a little bit. I know they also make some suits for those with, um, larger girls. I am a size 8, so not so big, but I am totally out of shape. My suit holds everything in for me.

I also just got an email from them - they have marked a few suits down (I think just today.) good luck, and let us know what you get!

A size 14? Oh to be a size 14 again and worry about my body! :rotfl:

Seriously, check out Carol Wior swimsuits, she has many styles, including your Tankini. Its the swimsuits that the Miss America wears. Great support all over! I bought one this summer and I love it.

I have a Lands End one which fits great, though I do think it's a little low cut. It keeps everything contained very well, but I do sometimes worry of a containment breach!!

I got mine at Target. Very cute, even had a skirt accessory.

I'm a larger girls size 14... and I have a lands End Tankini that I got on sale last year.

I actually have a size 14 D cup one piece as well from Landsend

They both are great. I do have to say though the tankini top is a bear to put on, but once its one the girls stay put the whole day. I figure a bit of tugging and pulling is worth it for all day staying power.

Used to buy suits from Land's End, never disappointed, but wore out quickly (swim almost daily.)

Now buy from Speedo. More expensive, but much better quality. :)

You are right. Many were just added to the sale today or yesterday!! I've spent much of this week on Landsend.com since my sister sent me a gift certificate for my birthday. I've really been checking all the sale merchandise and the swimsuit section definitely increased in size since I looked on Wednesday.

One of the things that I really liked about the Land's End tankini's is the ability to mix and match so many different top and bottom styles. I've got the regular tank style top with the skirted bottom - the one with the panty attached. I love it! There are so many tops that I loved, but since I'm not exactly small in the chest area, the squared tank was probably the best for me. Although one of these days I'll venture over to Sears and try some other styles just to see how they fit.

www.cyberswim.com carries Miraclesuits (one piece, two piece, tankinis....) and they are great about returns (I ordered AND returned 9 different suits at different times because I wasn't certain about my size and what suit I would like).

Thanks everyone. Great help! I´m checking out the different sites as we "speak" :)

I have this suit and LOVE it. It is more like a shirt and shorts then a swimsuit so I was much more comfortable at the pools/waterparks in this. I spent many hours in the Typhoon Lagoon wave pool and never had issues with this suit.
