Our local NBC station just showed cellphone video of a large round fish tank with a BIG leak at the T REX Cafe in DTD. Looks like it was in the room with the jellyfish hanging from the ceiling- it is a large, freestanding round tank. There was a huge amount of water gushing out of what looked like a large crack running vertically along one side of the tank. They reported that CMS were directing people out of the area, and several actually went into the tank to try to save the fish.

Adding- apparently, this happened yesterday around 4pm.

Also made the Philly news. Too bad but at least the whole seam did not go. These tanks are made in two half circle sides and they are glued together. Could have been much worse... I also think this is one of the tanks they redid on "Fish Tank Kings". They redid the coral inserts on a couple of the restaurants existing 1000 and 4000 gal cylinder tanks. (They did not build the tank only redid the coral inserts.)

Remember when Sebastian said the fish in the bowl is in for a worser fate?

This is what he was talking about.

Stories are reporting that a seal stopped working, further reinforcing the "lazy pinniped" stereotype.

Hopefully they had a sturgeon standing by at the hospital in case any of the fish were injured.

This thread is going straight down the drain, and I'm laughing all the way.
