The waiting area is next to the Pinocchio ride. The usual maze-like queue area. When you're at the end you need to pass by the exit of the Pinocchio ride (that's apparently where the problems come from) and are being led into the building that formerly was home to the Crystal Shop.

I'm surprised that the exit causes so many problems now. When I was there in November we had people going up to the building or address the CMs too, but they seemed to be very good at pointing out this was a meet and greet, and the line was in fact around the corner.
