My parents promised my younger brother (he is 15 I am 24) a trip to disney world after his GCSE's next year.

Both my parents like to stay at home during the christmas holiday so I am trying to convince them that disney at christmas is the way to go :thumbsup2

I have done two christmas' over there with my fiance's family and had a blast.

they are not convinced for several reasons, weather being one of them.

I will work on them cause let's face it disney is at it's best at christmas  :wizard:  :wizard: :santa:

Any extra ideas to throw into the next conversation would be greatfully recieved :)

either way looks like I will getting my next trip sooner than I thought :woohoo: With parents paying for me and fiance to go simply to occompany my little bro on all the rides!!!!!

it's a good year off but still time to get excited :yay:

I have the same 'problem' with my DH - he's not keen to be away over Christmas  However, he was happy to fly out just after Christmas and be there for New Year! Do you think your parents would agree to that?

If not, would they agree to go out during December, before Christmas? The decorations all go up after Thanksgiving, so they'd still get the Christmassy feeling out there and be at home for Christmas itself :thumbsup2

get them to listen to the last few podcasts on here
there were talking about christmas
wish i could go then
but always have to work our busy time

ive never been at christmas but it does sound very magical. keep us updated with your plans :thumbsup2

Remember that although it is often pleasant weather then, it can be absolutely freezing as well - and I mean coats, hats scarves and gloves weather. We had frost almost every day and snow sometimes.

It is also horrendously busy over the holidays, if going in termtime is out of the question, and you are definitely going over the holidays, consider going just after Chritmas Day. Or go after Thanksgiving when the decorations will be up, but it is likely to be warmer and quieter.

Sounds lovely ~ We're intending to go next Christmas for the first time.

Sounds great, I would love to go at Christmas :)

We went last christmas and although it was great i would not go for christmas day itself again but would definitely go a day or a few days after christmas.
New year was brilliant and was spent in Epcot. Very busy though.

Good luck with trying to talk your parents round and hope that you get your wish. Will send a little fairy dust help :tink: :tink: :tink: :tink:
