Well, I respect you all more than I already did before! I had every intention of taking a picture of everything we ate, but it was difficult for me to remember. We were either ready to eat or just too tired to care at some places. I did take some pictures, so I'll share what I got.

DH and I had the first part of our trip to ourselves the 3 kids and my Ma and Pa join us later in the week.

I like the rating systems used by somes so mine will be as follows:

:) :) :) = Yummy! - When can we go back?

:) :) = Good. - Let's visit again soon.

:) = Been There, Done That, Won't be back! (For quite a while anyway).

Sunday, October 5th - Mama Melrose:

This was our arrival day and after setting up the TT and getting organized and then showered and ready to go we were ready to EAT.

We arrived about 15 minutes prior to our ADR time of 7:20. The restaurant seemed busy/crowded with a small feeling of disorganization. We were determined to relax this vacation so we just found a place to stand out of the way and eventually a seat. After being there for 30 minutes we were offered a small two-top table by the kitchen door. I explained this would not due and we were given a booth/chair table which worked out fine.

We were hungry so we ordered drinks and the bread and spreads. I had a Vodka drink with juice and a flashing ice cube. It was okay but I do not like sweet drinks so one was enough. DH had a Blue Moon, which we enjoy.

Our bread appetizer arrived:

It was dark and I could not figure out how to use the flash. So this is the only picture taken here. I wish we could have waited for something else. The "artisian" bread was sub-par. I hate it when they give you stale, dried up bread and call it artisian. Bit Disappointing. However there was a whole head of roasted garlic that we did gobble up.

Entrees:

Me - I had the Butcher Steak which was very good. It was cooked to my liking, medium rare and it had great flavor from the grill they use. If you're looking for a good steak at Disney - Here's one.

DH - Spicy Sausage with Maranara Sauce. To quote Rick, "It was okay". If you were to ask me, I like spicy things but this was a little too over the top and I'm not thrilled with tomato sauce lately.

Desserts:

We could not decide on desert Rick wanted the Tiramisu and I wanted the Ricotta Cheesecake.

We ordered the cheesecake ;)

Our very nice waitress also brought us the tiramisu with a "Happy Anniversary" wish. Nice thing #1. Both deserts were good.

Neither was traditional. The Tiramisu was missing the coffee soaked ladyfingers, the cake was wrapped around what seemed to be mostly whipped cream.

The cheesecake was round. It was supposed to have blood orange sauce, which was only a drizzle and not very flavorful but the cheesecake itself was quite tasty. I do like my cheesecake just a little moister than this was but I would order it again.

The atomosphere was nice with twikling lights and a rustic Italian Restaurant feel. But, the service was almsot robot like.

Our waitress was very nice and upbeat but she was late to check on us when we received our food so it was a little frustrating needing something before you could really enjoy your dinner. Like a drink or a condiment.

Mama Melorse Overall Rating = :) :)

Up next, F&W Food Booths or "We spent what on tastings!?"

lol, looking forward to more. Afraid to see how much was spent "tasting".

Okay, sorry for the slowness, I could give a lot of excuses but I'll spare you the details.

Rick and I were really looking forward to the booths more than anything this trip, we love trying different things and it was a lot of fun. We could have probably saved money going to a TS Lunch and using our Wonderland Card. Here we are on our way via Contemporary Monarail..

Booth 1:

Rick - Moet & Chandon Nectar Imperial Rose $11.00 (Charged him for a regular Imperial - $8.50)

Me - M&C Nectar Imperial - $9.75

Mine was good but Rick's was Yummy. Lucked out being charged for the lowest price choice and got the premium - We're off to a good start.

Total at Booth #1 = $18.25 :) :)

Booth # 2 - "Santiago, Chile"
Rick - Empanada - $3.75

This was very tasty and got a "Yummy" rating on my chart, it was one of my favorites.

Me - Shrimp with Cilantro Sauce - $4.25

We both enjoyed this also. The flavor was good, the shrimp were a little over-cooked.

Total Booth #2 = $7.75 :) :) :)

Booth #3 - "The Mouse Catch"

We got the Trio for $4.50.

One of the cheeses was very good. I thought it was Dorothea from Holland because it's description sounds so interesting. But, we went by a second time and requested only Dorothea and that was not the one we enjoyed. I think it was the Manchango from Spain. The Prosecco was refreshing with the cheese. (By the way, I cannot spell and the spell check does not work for me here - Sorry in Advance).

Total this booth w/ 2 Prosecco

Total Booth #3 = $11.00 :) :)

Booth #4 - Vienna, Austraila

We shared one of all the food items. Rick was carrying around a beer in an Epcot souvenier mug and I was on my second glass of a red wine, can't tell you which one.

Beef Goulash w/Bacon Dumpling - $3.50

This was okay... I was disappointed with it's non-freshness and lack of flavor. It was something I was really looking forward to, so maybe it would have had to been something amazing anyway. Rick didn't eat much either.

Tafelspitz -$3.75

This on the other had was Yummy! The beef was fall-apart tender with tons of flavor. It would have been perfect if they would have had a better horseradish sauce. It was not flavorful, in fact it was a bit flat, so I didn't bother the yummy meat with it. Rick guarded this like a mama guards her babies. I was taking a great chance everytime I stuck my hand in there.

Buchteln - Apricot Jam Roll with Vanilla Sauce $2.50

Also good. It was sweet without being overly sweet with an apricot jam-like filling.

Total Booth #4 $9.75 :) :)

I have one more booth from Monday, I will have to continue later.

Have a great evening everyone.
