Depending on when your call goes thru and when your reservation falls, the only problem will be availability for THV. You are not really switching from SSR to THV since THV is simply a room category at SSR. You will be cancelling your current SSR reservation and making a reservation in a THV at SSR - sort of like cancelling a reservation in a 1BR and making another for a 2BR.

When I called MS this past week to check on the availability of THVs, she told me if they are switching booking categories, and the points are not changing - that there is not an actual canceling, it is just changing the wording in your current reservation. I guess this would only work if you were going from a 2BR SSR to THV. It seemed it was much easier than a true cancel between room sizes. Was she mistaken?
