Just remembered that last July when we took my DD,s friend with us ,when we went into the passport office she looked at the letter i had with me that said i had to permission to take my DD friend out of the UK, ( i was lucky to have this as it was a last minute thought) taking another of DD friends in April and are getting her a pass so will take something just in case anyone else had this ,i did read somewhere that someone was refused a pass for their niece because they had no permission as it was a contract you are entering ,well always best to be on safe side
