We are taking a 5 year old and an 8 month old baby to WDW. We were wondering if there are restrictions such as being able to walk up to the rides or if you are able to hold an infant on rides such as Peter Pan and the Haunted Mansion?

You'll be able to carry the baby on rides like Peter Pan, Pooh, Snow White, Pirates, etc. We took DD on her first trip when she was 9 months old and she had a great time just looking at everything going on around her. She even fell asleep on Pirates and a few other rides.

Aside from the obvious rides you can't take an infant on, there are no restrictions. We were just there last week with our 7 month old. She was great and got lots of attention from the cms and characters. I held her on every ride with no problems.

We took our DD princess: when she was 6 months old, she was held on all of the rides that were appropriate. She loved the lights especially in winnie the pooh. We have great pictures with the characters they pay special attention to babies.

We used the Baby Bjorn when taking DGrD on the rides when she was 5 mos. - being in it made her (and us) feel a bit more secure. She did both HM and Peter Pan with us (and many more) - FYI, the stroller rain cover was great to have - even protected the stroller from getting soaked once from a sudden shower while we were on a ride.

I too wonder how you managed with an infant. We are traveling with 10 month old triplets. We are staying at POFQ and plan on keeping them on schedule and allowing them to nap in their stroller. Does anyone have any extra advice? Thanks in advance!

We traveled with DD when she was three months old. Had no problems. She didn't ride much, but that was because she spent a lot of time sleeping in the stroller. Took DS when he wasn nine months and he rode everything that didn't have a height restriction. Ok, maybe not the teacups and the astro-orbiters, but PotC, HM, Pooh, PP, etc.

The biggest thing we did was to try to keep DD cool. Spent a lot of time in shops or inside somewhere while part of the group rode. Then we'd switch off and she'd wait with someone else.

We're going back in June, and she'll be 13 months. This trip looks like it might be more difficult as she is very, very active now.

We have PAP's, and 11 year old and an infant. The baby has been going to Disney World since he was 6 weeks old. We go several times a month to a park. He has been on many rides and enjoys the lights and the colors. He loves the characters too. They are so good with babies. They approach the baby less aggressive than the older children. Usually they get down to his level if he is in the stroller or high chair. Since there is a huge age difference between our children, we make use of the baby swap for the big rides. We also use the baby care centers for diaper changes and nursings...so much so, that we are in the Disney vacation planning DVD!
