A note to check the water temp if you are washing anything that won't withstand hot. Recently returned from an SSR/BCV 2BR split stay and in both locations the water connections were reversed. These are not new rooms in service so you can run across this anywhere. We've previously experienced it BWV following its full refurb several years ago.

Puzzling it's so frequently incorrect. :scratchin

I would recommend running it once empty with some type of sanitation and the dryer too. I think Clorox sells a disinfectant wet wipe .
I have witnessed too many wet clothes and shoes in washer/ dryer in many different laundry rooms . And if the resort had a temporary water turnoff in building (for maintenance, etc ) …that first load will turn your whites grey .
And I usually run the jacuzzi tub once with hot water before I would trust that too. Actually just use it for soaking my feet now since my friends got a very painful bladder(?) infection after using a poolside jacuzzi .
Sorry to offer no fun advice.

That is odd and something few would think checking. Did you report it to the front desk? Might be worth an email to DVC too.

Yes but it was towards the end of our stays in each room and not fixed before leaving.

Oddly this isn't completely uncommon with reports over the years of finding the same thing.

Wow, I've never heard of it other than with AKV.

And with AKV, the maintenance guy that came to fix it when we reported it said that they initially (for years) thought it was a connection reversal, but it was actually a chip issue. So all he did was open the washer panel and change out a chip in it and then it worked.

That sounds odd. Every washing machine I've had has separate hot/cold hookups and sounds like the Disney does too. These both were complete opposite where the rinse was hot either way so while we could wash on cold by setting to hot it couldn't be a total work around. Maybe they were able to get chips programmed that reverse what the machine thinks is hot and cold and that was easier than pulling them out and physically change the hookups? And that became "it's the chip, not incorrect installation".
